Share

Nandyal sitting MP and Janasena’s Nandyal MP candidate SPY Reddy has succumbed to prolonged illness. SPY Reddy breathed his last today a while ago at Care hospital in Hyderabad. SPY Reddy was admitted to the hospital on 3rd April following complaints of illness related to heart and kidneys.

SPY Reddy had won on YSRCP ticket in 2014 polls against the wave of Chandrababu and Narendra Modi. But he had joined TDP even before he sworn-in as MP in 2014. In 2019, TDP has fielded Mandra Shivanad Reddy from Nandyal parliamentary constituency. With this SPY Reddy had joined Janasena and contested on Janasena parliament ticket.

SPY Reddy was 68-year-old. He was born on 4th June 1950 in Kadapa district. Reddy had graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Warangal and subsequently joined the Mumbai-based Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. He had quit the position of a Scientific Officer in BARC in 1977 and had set up a plastic containers manufacturing plant in 1979. Thereafter, he diversified his company’s operations into PVC pipes manufacturing in 1984 under the name of Nandi Pipes and there was no looking back for him.

Reddy began his political career with BJP in 1991 where he had contested on BJP ticket from Nandyal parliament constituency but he was defeated. He successfully won as Nandyal MP three times in a row in 2004, 2009 and 2014. While he contested as Congress candidate in 2004 and 2009, he had contested as YCP candidate in 2014.

A couple of days ago, CBI raids were conducted at SPY Reddy’s residence over alleged loan default. During the raids, documents of few industries owned by SPY Reddy have been seized. The MP had availed loans to the tune of Rs 500 crore from numerous banks including State Bank of India and Syndicate Bank as per media reports. The raids were triggered by alleged loan defaults to banks.

‘I lost 8 kg for Saaho,’ says Prabhas

Share

With Bahubali series, Prabhas transformed his physique into no less than a Greek God. He underwent strenuous workouts and put on a strict diet regime to get those razor sharp abs and bulky avatar. But, for his upcoming film Saaho, things turned out to be opposite. Prabhas had to lose 8 kg of weight to look leaner for his role in Saaho.

Prabhas said that he gained a lot of weight for Bahubali. However, for Saaho, the director asked him to lose weight to compliment the role. With minimal carbohydrates, the hero was successful in losing eight kilograms of weight in a short span. The actor needs to have the camera-ready body for exceptional action and high-octane fighting scenes in the film.

It took a lot of hard work for Prabhas as he consumed 20 egg whites, half kg chicken, and brown rice for Bahubali. And now, he had to stay on fruits, vegetables and no carb diet chart. Directed by Sujeet, Saaho is said to be getting into record books for having the maximum number of VFX scenes ever filmed. Well, as we all know, Prabhas is one of those devoted actors who work relentlessly in getting the desired body no matter what.

Why Did Dear Comrade Got Postponed?

Share

We have reported earlier that Vijay Devarakonda’s Dear Comrade is postponed to a later date. The date hasn’t been set yet to give a confirmation.

For now, we hear that July end is seen as the perfect date for the release but the movie needs one and half month to complete all the post production works, it seems.

So, we may hear about the release date of the film only in June. As off now, Vijay is taking rest after finishing hectic schedules for the movie, it seems.

The dubbing works for the film will start from May second week and as the work needs to be completed in four different languages, the producers decided 31st May is not the ideal date, it seems.

They are going for Monsoon season holidays and July end to August end there are major holidays that movie can cash in, if it is good.

Bharat Kamma is trying to make sure that is the case and Vijay wants the movie to be his another big success story, it seems. We have to wait and see, when will the film release date will be announced.

Puri Shocks Everyone With His Latest Decision!

Share

When you hear about Puri Jagannath, how he suffered early and lost everything after finding big success and now is back to being rich, one thinks there is a lot to learn from him.But the director has always been bit of a mystery to people around him as he does things in his unique style and never regret about them.

He sometimes pull off major surprises being bold but he seems to be not in major issue with giving his son’s films to failed directors and newcomers.

If they seem to know what they are doing it is the best thing but when you bring someone who tried to ape you and failed many times, then it really makes no sense.

After Mehbooba, Puri Jagannath decided to not direct his son and gave scripts to Anil Paduri and Mallikarjun. Anil is completing the film while Mallikarjun is prepping his film.

Mallikarjun worked as Puri Jagannath’s assistant for Badri and since then, he made films that tried to ape Puri style but none really delivered. So, giving an young hero to such a person might be seen as guts or lack of any regard for what the outcome will be.

We don’t want to write-off a person just because of failures but the director seemed clueless maximum number of times. Let’s see, with Puri supervision, if he can triumph?!

Can These Two Match Charm Of Those Beauties?

Pictures from the Portugal schedule of Manmadhudu 2 are being released big time, and fans of the original are eagerly waiting for the sequel now. And then, there is Rakul Preet featuring in a sassy avatar in those pics, followed by the announcement that Bangalore girl Akshara Gowda will be seen in a cameo.

Actually, the title Manmadhudu rings two names in our minds, that is none other than Sonali Bendre and Anshu. While Sonali is the leading lady of the film, who has impressed with both comedy and glamour, Anshu’s innocense-like acting caught all the attention in a flashback episode. Those two heroines have created a long-lasting mark we have to say.

Will Rakul be able to get into the shoes of Sonali and weave similar magic? Will Akshara’s short role equal to that of Anshu from the original? Will these two be able to match the charms of the original version’s heroines? These are the questions that are doing rounds everywhere. Only the film’s release will reveal an answer for them.

Producers Threatened To Ban Nithya?

Share

A few days ago, Nitya Menon was involved in a controversy when she refused to meet a bunch of producers who came to hold talks with her. The producers claim that Nithya is showing apathy, overconfidence, and attitude. They threatened to ban her completely from the Malayalam film industry.

This whole unpleasant situation took place during the shooting of Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty directed by Rajeev Kumar. Without informing her before, a group of producers had tried to meet her and Nithya refused to meet. This went on personal levels and rumours has spread on her in a negative manner.

Nithya also spoke on it in one of her interviews. She said that in the midst of all this headache, she got to know that her mother was suffering from third stage cancer. She revealed that she had to hide her emotions and cry in her caravan in between shoots. In addition, the actress was suffering from chronic migraine which made her detach from all the issues.

She gave a befitting reply to those producers saying that ‘I don’t care such rumours. Let them call me egoistic. I only prefer to focus on my work’. On the work front, Nithya is busy with Jayalalithaa’s biopic and Malayalam movies Kolambim Anandamargam, Psycho and Mission Mangal in the pipeline.

Naidu planning to prepone Mahanadu?

Share

It has been a common practice for the Telugu Desam Party to hold its annual party conclave Mahanadu on May 27 coinciding with the birth anniversary of party founder and former chief minister N T Rama Rao.

It is generally held for three days and on the concluding day, the party president would give directions to the party leaders and cadre on the action plan for the next one year. The same practice has been going on for several years.

However, this time, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be contemplating advancing the conduct of Mahanadu between May 15 to 17, at least 12 days before the original schedule.

According to party sources, the idea of preponing the Mahanadu came up for discussion in the party meeting after Naidu returned from his holiday trip in Himachal Pradesh.

Apparently, the TDP leaders felt that holding of Mahanadu on May 27 might not be possible due to announcement of results on May 23 and if the TDP comes back to power, Naidu would be busy in the formation of the new government and the time would be too short to make arrangements for the annual conclave.

But, the actual reason is said to be different. If the TDP loses power in the assembly elections, the entire party rank and file would be in a state of depression. And Naidu himself would be completely demoralized and would not be in a position to enthuse the party cadre.

So, the dispirited party will not be in a position to hold the Mahanadu within four days of losing power.

Moreover, it is learnt the party has proposed to hold Mahanadu this time in Hyderabad, mostly at Gandipet and make it a low-key affair.

This would also mean the party is sensing defeat in Andhra elections and hence, Naidu wants to hold it in a simple manner.

Jersey Wins Hearts and The Box Office Too

Share

The most acclaimed Telugu film of recent times Jersey has not only won hearts but also turned out to be a box office success.

Films like Jersey have limited reach given the low entertainment and slow paced narration.

Despite its limitations on the commercial front, Jersey has become a commercial success by collecting around Rs. 27 crore share in twelve days.

The film is still having steady run in A centers in spite of getting huge competition from Avengers: Endgame.

Jersey faced stiff competition from Kanchana 3 that was released on the same day as the former.

Despite heavy competition and limitations, Jersey has turned out to be a hit film for Nani, who has bounced back big time after a disappointing 2018.

With no notable films to come out on this weekend, Jersey is likely to run steadily until Maharshi takes over on May 9.

Director Gautham Tinnanuri and female lead Shraddha Srinath have been getting lucrative offers from top producers of Telugu film industry.

High Court warns defected MLAs

Share

The Telangana High Court has said that the MLAs who have defected from Congress to TRS, will certainly face an action as per the law but declined to take up the petition filed on Congress Legislature Party (CLP) merger row as emergency case. Advocate on behalf of Congress party Jandyala Ravi Shankar failed to convince the court with his arguments and so the case has been postponed to June 11.

But the advocate argued that if the court takes time, then TRS will definitely go ahead with the procedure to merge CLP with TRSLP. Taking this argument into consideration, the court said, if this happens, the court is there to object it and appropriate action will be taken immediately against the MLAs. “No legislature will run away from assembly and if the merge happens against constitution and law, necessary steps will follow,” said the court.

The Congress has also appealed to disqualify the MLAs for winning on party’s symbol and joining other party.

This decision of the High Court is partially in favour and against Congress. What would be it’s next step on CLP and TRSLP merger is something to be looked at.
