Phase 3 Polling Concludes; Records 63.24 Percent
The phase three of general elections have concluded and the overall percent age is 63.24. In West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh there were some tense situation wherein BJP, Samajwadi Party and Trinamool Congress activists fought with each other. In the rest of the states, the polling was peaceful.
Despite some unwanted incidents, West Bengal reported highest voting percentage with 79.36 while Jammu & Kashmir reported very low with just 12.86 percent.

Telugu Student Drowns In Boston Beach
A 27 years old Telugu student died as he accidentally drowned in a beach at Boston, USA. The victim is identified as Shravan Kumar Reddy who hails from Bellampalli of Mancherial district.
This incident happened while Shravan along with his friends were celebrating Easter alongside the beach on April 20. Efforts are being made to trace Shravan’s body. The officials suspect that Shravan don’t know how to swim, yet he entered the water.
About Shravan Reddy’s family details, he is eldest son of Reddy Rajaram, an SCCL employee in Bellampalli. Shravan flew to the US in the year 2014 to pursue higher studies. He is said to be doing MBA and had plans to return to India to set up a business.
Family members of Shravan are informed about this incident and they are devastated. Shravan friends are in talks with Indian Embassy to ship the body to India.
Rajamouli Liked A Film After A Long Time
Rajamouli is an avid moviegoer in spite of being a busy and successful director.
He watches almost all the films on day 1 amid morning show crowds to catch the pulse of the audience. It is probably one of the success secrets of the Baahubali director.
Rajamouli used to be a bit liberal in showering praises upon the movies he watched. He used to put obligatory tweets too.
But of late Rajamouli is being very selective about tweeting about the movies he liked.
He stopped posting obligatory tweets after he is being followed by the National media and movie fans across the nation. Which means if Rajamouli tweets about a film then it is genuinely special.
Rajamouli tweeted about a movie after a very long time and it is about Jersey. He didn’t tweet about a single movie after Geetha Govindam that was released eight months ago. This shows that only a few films are able to reach the bar he has set for himself.

Boney Kapoor has curfew time for Khushi
Mumbai: Actress Janhvi Kapoor’s sister Khushi says their father and producer Boney Kapoor is over-protective, and has a curfew time for her.
Khushi, daughter of late actress Sridevi, opened up about her father when she appeared on “BFFs with Vogue Season 3”, read a statement.
When host and actress Neha Dhupia enquired from Khushi about her dream debut, she said she will follow director Karan Johar blindly but her father will choose her co-star.
To this, Neha asked: “Khushi, you’re 18. I’m curious to know what sort of trouble you get into?”
“Curfew! Where am I? Who am I with? Once my dad sent a message to my friend saying, ‘Hey beta! Send a photo of you and Khushi’,” she said.
Neha then asked: “Is your family okay with you dating or do you have to sneak around?”
Khushi replied: “I think dad is open to the idea of me having a potential boyfriend.”
Khushi came to the show with her sister Janhvi. The show will premiere on April 27 on Colors Infinity.

Telugu actor Harshvardhan Rane is better known for his negative roles in “Avunu”, “Avunu 2”, “Anamaika” and “Fidaa”.In Bollywood, he is more popular for his romance with 39-year-old Kim Sharma. She is four years older than him. They had a roaring love affair. They are no longer an item.
They broke up officially. Rane declared his split with her through an Instagram post: “K, Thank you gentle soul! It was amazing, and much more. God bless you, and God bless me too. Bye. H.”
35-year-old Harshvardhan Rane and Kim Sharma never hid their relationship. They regularly posted their pics together on social media. Kim Sharma had a tiff with him last month and they have parted ways now.

PM Modi to Face the Heat of Nizamabad Farmers
It is known that 174 turmeric farmers have filed nominations for Nizamabad LS constituency in the first phase of Telangana polls. Protesting the low ‘remunerative price’ for what they are producing, farmers in the past announced they would also contest on PM Narendra Modi in Varanasi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, if needed. Looks like it is turning out to be true.
With a view to raise their voice and intensity the protest, the turmeric farmers of Telangana has now decided to seek election from Varanasi as well. It’s known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently filed his nomination from this constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
Turmeric farmers from Armoor, Balkonda and Nizamabad rural have decided to go to Varanasi and file their nomination as independent candidates. They (farmers) also have called for a ‘Chalo Varanasi’ to draw the attention of entire nation.
Jagan’s Attack Accused Srinivas Rao Falls Sick
The prime accused in the attack on YS Jagan at Vizag airport, Srinivas Rao is admitted in Rajahmundry government hospital. Srinivas reported severe chest pain on Monday night at around 10 PM. The police have rushed him to the government hospital for preliminary checking.
Srinivas is placed in prisoners ward and a team of doctors are monitoring his health condition. However, the police and government hospital sources are not revealing any details of Srinivas health status. They are considering to shift Srinivas to Kakinada hospital, if his condition doesn’t improve.
Srinivas attacked Jagan in the VIP lounge in October 2018. The Andhra Pradesh government had set up its own investigation team in probing the case and later NIA took over the case.
There is no update on this case till date.
‘Jagananna ki thoduga’ – Top Spender on FB Ads
With Lok Sabha elections still due in some states while others have completed them, political parties spending in the month of April shot up drastically, according to Facebook Ad Library. Interestingly, Bharatiya Janata Party led the charts across India in spending on Facebook and Instagram, with the cost standing at Rs. 1.3 crore for 30 days, while the Congress party spent, nearly half that of its rival, at Rs. 56.69 lakh.
Surprisingly, Andhra Pradesh’s political parties are top spenders on Facebook Ads among the regional parties while Naveen Patnaik, Chief of Biju Janata Dal of Odisha, leads the charts. Even Kerala’s LDF page was among the top spenders. Both Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress lead the regional spenders table. Pages giving a boost to the YSR Congress was the ”Indian Political Action Committee” (I-PAC) and ”Jagananna ki thoduga” which was one of the top spenders while another page ”AP with CBN” also was boosting TDP’s presence.
According to the data, the Bharatiya Janata Party spent Rs. 44.32 lakh until April 20. Across the platform, total amount of Rs. 7 crore was spent by various political parties for just 20 days in April, while that between February and March stood at Rs. 10 crore. Meanwhile, the data mentioned that supporters and followers of these parties are the ones who spend the most.
For instance: Pro-BJP pages such as Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat (Rs. 2.23 crore), My First Vote For Modi (Rs 1.08 crore) and Nation with NaMo (Rs 1.20 crore) among others, spent higher than the Congress party’s total spending in the last 30 days.
Has TDP leader helped Roja in Nagari?
There are doubts on one dissident Telugu Desam Party leader helping the rival YSR Congress so as to weaken the TDP in Nagari Assembly constituency. The growing dissidence in the party might spell doom for the party in this constituency, if information from sources is to be believed.
There are rumours that the TDP activists of the dissident leader ensured that the some of the voters cast their valuable vote to the Opposition YSR Congress in Nagari. TDP senior leader late Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu’s son Gali Bhanu Prakash contested as the party candidate from Nagari against YSRC candidate Roja. There is talk that one section of the TDP had betrayed Bhanu Prakash, following differences over allocation of the party ticket.
Nagari had caused enough headache to the party chief from the day the poll notification was released. According to sources, Prakash’s younger brother Gali Jagadish appealed to the TD party chief not to give the ticket to his brother. He asked Naidu to give the ticket to him but Prakash claimed that his father had declared him to be his political successor. Even Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu’s wife and MLC Saraswati too lobbied for Jagadish but Naidu counselled them and finally, gave the ticket to Bhanu Prakash.
There are allegations that some TDP leaders in the constituency had facilitated the party leaders to switch loyalty to the YSR Congress, just before the elections. Also, the dissident TDP group even extended financial support to YSRC candidate Roja during campaigning.
However, the TD activists believe that Bhanu Prakash put up a stiff competition to Roja. It is learnt that Bhanu Prakash and other key leaders in the constituency complained about the dissident leader’s activities to the party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu during his meeting with party leaders in Chittoor district.
