Surprisingly after sharing the first look of her upcoming film Bharat, where she shares the screen with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani has revealed an interesting thing about her sister. Sharing a picture of Kushboo Patani, this Loafer beauty revealed that her sibling is a Lieutenant in the Indian armed forces.

In her Instagram story, the actress shared this picture adding that she loves her sister’s dedication a lot. Actually, there are many heroines in Bollywood who come from army backdrop as their parents and siblings still serving the nation. The long list of Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Preity Zinta and much more, now see the name Disha added to it.

On film’s front, Disha is expecting that Salman’s Bharat will change her fortunes when the film releases on June 5th this year, while she’s part of Mohi Suri’s upcoming Malang as well which releases on Feb 14, 2020.

Jersey’s Almond Counting Scene Is Super Hit

Back in the late 80s and 90s, we have to say that life is a different game altogether. While the whole of the communication system is different, also there are very few brands when it comes to chocolates, soft drinks and other eateries as foreign brands are not allowed to directly sell their products in India without local partners.

While some rich brats used to enjoy Gold Spot like soft drinks, others used to drink to local made Badam Milk. This is a favourite soft drink of many, and people used to count how many pieces of almond they got in their drink. There is a similar scene in Jersey where comedian Praveen counts the almonds in his bottle compared to that of Nani’s bottle.

This scene made many of the guys in mid-30s and early 40s quite nostalgic as most of them used to behave in the same way back then. Generally, films showcase only products of that time, but here in Jersey, director Gautham Tinnanuri has also shown the behaviour in the same way. That’s what heart touching, we have to say!

India’s Chief Justice Is Accused of Sexual Harassment

A former junior Court assistant, who worked between 2014 to 2018, accused the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi of sexual assault in an affidavit addressed to the Supreme Court on April 19, 2019.

She has alleged that after the sexual harassment happened on Oct 11, 2018, she was abruptly detained from her post. The Supreme Court has responded today and all the allegations have been denied. The decision says that the officer’s claims contradict the complaint and that there was never any occasion for the CJI to interact with her. Talking about her termination, the statement was passed that the officer was dismissed from service as per the procedure.

The whole accusations were labelled as “false and scurrilous”. The affidavit that she submitted to SC included the apparent victimisation of she, her husband and family members underwent over the past few months.

KCR Asked Defected MLAs To Resign?

If speculation in Telangana is to be believed, then Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao is trying his best to ensure that other party MLAs who have supported the pink party from outside are really sure to resign. Apparently, the TRS chief discussed on the party strategy and plans for the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections along with the new revenue law he is planning to implement in the state, with local leaders, legislators and party cadre at Telangana Bhavan.

Additionally, he also wanted to meet leaders from other parties who extended support to the pink party who couldn’t attend the meeting at Telangana Bhavan. So, the TRS chief is said to have rushed to his Camp Office and met these MLAs from Congress and TDP there. In the meeting the TRS chief discussed with them in detail about their interest in the party and whether they were really willing to resign their party and join the TRS.

Meanwhile, the TRS’ plans of removing Telugu Desam Legislative Party and Congress Legislative Party have fallen flat as Aswaraopeta MLA Mecha Nageswara Rao from the TDP did not resign the party while Satthupalli MLA, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, had resigned but hasn’t joined the TRS yet. Similarly, other Congress leaders too have resigned their party membership but haven’t joined the Pink Party bandwagon.

With these MLAs still not joining the TRS, KCR is making sure that they are on his side at a time when the party did not do well in the MLC elections and is now preparing for local body polls. So, the speculation in Telangana’s political circles is that whether KCR is slowly exposing his fears of dwindling support within the TRS.

What’s The Connection Between Jr NTR & Jersey?

Other day, Jr NTR has tweeted big time about Nani’s Jersey and commented that the film is a ‘brilliant’ one. And a time when there is criticism that he hasn’t even tweeted a word about NTR biopics in the last January and February, one wonders why he might have put tweets for Jersey.

The big hook that people are talking about is, generally for Jr NTR’s films and Kalyan Ram’s movies, there is this ‘warning/advice’ card at the start of a film where Jr NTR’s voice asks audiences to drive slowly, carefully and responsibly such that the accidents that happened in their family won’t happen with others. And now, ‘Jersey’ film has seen the same voiceover card.

At the same time, the actor tweeted just hours after the film’s release that he liked it immensely. And then, the banner animation of Sithara Entertainment features legendary NTR’s images all over, giving rise to a doubt, as to what is the connection between NTR, Jr NTR and this producer.

Joining these dots, many now feel that maybe Jr NTR is just showing his love for his Aravinda Sametha producer, whose Haarika & Haasini Creations is a mother firm of Sithara Entertainment.

‘Dear Comrade’ To Release On July 19th!

Delivering two back to back impressive films in the form of Geetha Govindam and Taxiwala has made Vijay Devarakonda a sought after star in the industry. Both audiences and film trade people are eagerly waiting for his next film, which happens to be “Dear Comrade”.

After a lot of shufflings, finally, this comrade has locked the date of May 31st for its release. But suddenly, hero Surya has come into the game and he has locked the same date for his “NGK” in both Tamil and Telugu regions. And now, Vijay Devarakonda has suddenly decided to drop from the race.

While if it is just a clash avoiding, then the film might have got pushed by a week or so. But now, if we have to believe reports, this film is postponed by a couple of months almost as we hear that July 19th is the new tentative release date of Dear Comrade. Not only with Surya, we have to say that Vijay avoided clash with many other films, but why like that?

Post the elections, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met for the first time. However this is an accidental meet happened at Ramoji Rao’s grand-daughter’s wedding in Ramoji Film City.

It was first Chandrababu who reached the staged and blessed the newly-wed couple. As he was getting down, Pawan Kalyan arrived from the opposite end. Naidu and Pawan formally greeted each other and then Pawan conveyed birthday wishes to Naidu.

Both had a brief chat and later left. The last time Naidu and Pawan met each other was in 2018 in Amaravati at an idol installation in a temple.

Day 1: Jersey Makes Impact But Takes Slight Beating

After the dismal performance of Krishnarjuna Yuddham and DevaDas at the box office, hero Nani is looking forward to delivering a tremendous hit this time and for the kind of positive talk “Jersey” has garnered, it looks like his mission is getting accomplished.

If we look at the first day collections of Jersey, the film has made around 4.5+ crores share in Telugu states alone. And easily it could make another crore and more in the Overseas and other non-Telugu state territories. That makes the total share anywhere between 5.5 to 6+ crores on the First Day of its release. Actually, this is neither a bad share nor a good share for Nani, we have to say.

Nani’s previous film Krishnarjuna Yuddham has collected 5.6+ crores share on the first day while his multi-starrer DevaDas made 7+ crores share. Going by that, Nani’s opening day market is pretty much the same despite the fact this Jersey got unanimous thunderous applause. So we have to see if all the positive talk might create an impact on the first weekend collections.

Trade circuits have opined that first day collections of Jersey took a slight dent because of Kanchana 3 movie, which got average reviews but great collections due to fans of such content storming to theatres in all the centres. Probably a solo release would have helped Nani better.

#PoonamKaurLeaks: Will They Investigate Pawan Kalyan?

With a leading daily like Times Of India coming up with a full page story on actress Poonam Kaur’s audio clips that took YouTube by a storm, many wonder what is going to happen in the days to come. As the actress, herself confirmed that the clips are not doctored, many wonders if the contents of the clips will get investigated now.

The content of the clips includes that Poonam has got cheated by Pawan Kalyan so badly that she has loved her to the core and also performed poojas for him while he made someone else pregnant in that time. At the same time, some comments like director Trivikram Srinivas is the one that is manipulating Pawan have stunned the listeners too. Will there be any legal consequence for this?

According to TOI, Cyber Crime’s Addl DCP Raghuvir has told that for now, they will investigate about the culprits who uploaded those private conversations on YouTube. And then, if someone involved in that ‘phone calls’ files a complaint, then they might quiz any name that popped up in that chat. Otherwise, there will be no investigation of any content, inside that talk.

Well, it looks like political enemies of Pawan Kalyan now got arm-twisting stuff in hand to malign the Janasenani further. We have to see what happens.

When media has rushed to Cyber Crime Office in Hyderabad a couple of days ago, where she has filed a complaint on one political party that has uploaded some videos in her name, many thought that it was about something else. But finally, it has come out that the case is all about those alleged phone conversations that are doing rounds on the net.

Speaking with the leading daily Times Of India, apparently, Poonam neither took out the name of Pawan Kalyan or she named anyone else, but says upright that she was manipulated, used and taken advantage of when she is in the weakest moment of her life. One wonders what is all that she’s talking about, while the audio leaks are indicating that she got cheated by Pawan though she loved him to the core.

Talking about this, Poonam revealed to the newspaper that she will be taking action on people who brought bad name to her by uploading malicious videos of her on YouTube, but haven’t given anything about the contents of her conversations. One wonders if the actress will ever speak out about anything that is utter sensational.

Vivek Athreya has turned heads with his maiden Mental Madhilo. The film managed to get rave reviews and garnered good collections at the BO considering that the film was made in a shoe-string budget.

The team of Vivek Athreya and Sree Vishnu is back with Brochevarevarura and this time joining the duo is Nivetha Thomas and Rahul Ramakrishna, Priyadarshi.

The teaser begins with Sathya narrating a script to female lead. It’s about R3 Batch – Rocky, Rambo and Rahul played by Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishnana. They are aimless, careless, irresponsible youth who are poor in academics. Sree Vishnu is still in his intermediate. He falls for Mithra (Nivetha Thomas), daughter of college principal. She is a state-level Bharatanatyam dancer as well. Whereas Sree Vishnu wants easy money. Apparently, R3 Batch resorts to kidnapping. How do they end up? How does Vishnu wins the love of Nivetha?

Though the teaser reveals the plot, it has its suspense moments. The treatment appears to be fresh. Vivek and Vishnu has yet again banked on a youthful romance which is a safe bet. Screenplay seems to be interesting. Going by the teaser, the humour also seems to have worked.

Vivek Sagar’s music is peppy and complimenting visuals. Technically and creative-wise, the film is promising. One has to wait and see whether the ‘V’ duo – Vivek and Vishnu will score again or not.

Bunny’s Dad Satisfies Malayalam Fans

Both Trivikram and Allu Arjun are very good planners as both have the qualities of producers apart from being a director and actor respectively. Right now, their target with their latest film is that it should suffice the needs of fans from all the regions.

In recent times, Bunny is scoring quite well up north as his dubbed films are creating havoc in theatres and YouTube as well. At the same time, he has a superior fanbase in Malayalam where they fondly call him ‘Mallu’ Arjun. While roping in Tabu and heroine Pooja Hegde will cater to the needs of Bollywood fans, what about Mallu fans then?

Reportedly Malayalam actor Jayaram, who was earlier seen in a negative role in Anushka’s Bhagamathie, is now being roped in for Alakananda, where he will be playing the role of Allu Arjun’s father. As the subject is a dad-son centric story, surely his addition to the team will come in handy to release in the film in Kerala.

Actually senior actor, Baahubali fame Satyaraj is said to be appearing as Bunny’s father inside the film, but he is doing another crucial character.

Ready to contest assembly polls: Rajinikanth

Good news to Superstar Rajinikanth fans. The actor said he is all set to contest the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu whenever they are held. His fans and supporters are thrilled to hear the news. Rajini, while interacting with media outside his Poes Garden bungalow said that he understands his fans eagerness and will not disappoint them.

The response came after his fans on social media pledged that their ‘next vote’ would be only for him. The hashtag in Tamil that reads ‘next vote only for Rajini’ is trending on Twitter. But, the actor merely repeated these words many times before. However, there was no clarity on his party details and active plunge into politics. A reporter asked – would he be still ready if the elections happen just now since there is talk that snap polls might be forced on the state if the ruling AIADMK fare badly in the by-elections for the 18 Assembly seats held on April 18 and for the four seats scheduled on May 19?

“Whenever the Assembly elections are held, we are prepared”, Rajini replied.

Moreover, critics pointed out how Rajinikanth made similar statements whenever his new movie is getting ready for release. The actor made it clear that his target was only the state Assembly elections and he would not contest the Lok Sabha elections or the Assembly byelections. He also clarified that he did not support any party in the April 18 elections and no one should use his pictures or the flag of Rajini Makkal Mandram.

To another question asked by the reporter on the launch of his political party, Rajinikanth replied, “Let’s see. We will decide about it after May 23, post the results of the present elections.
