Buzz: Mahesh Will Not Finalise Until 50% Completion
It looks like Mahesh Babu has taken the entire episode of Sukumar quite seriously and has decided to not hurt any director in the coming days. Because the Superstar is said to have felt that Sukumar would have not walked away if he hasn’t kept him in the waiting for a long time.
Owing to this, reports are coming from Mahesh’s camp that the actor will not finalise any film or any story. Currently waiting for the release of Maharshi movie, he will soon move to his new film under the direction of Anil Ravipudi. Only after completing 50% of that film, Mahesh will take a call on his other projects, said sources.
Whether it is a film with Trivikram Srinivas or a movie with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Mahesh is going to finalise it only in the second half of 2019 but not now. So fans have to wait for some more time to find out who is going to be their superstar’s next director.
Meanwhile, Vamsi Paidipally directed Maharshi is getting ready to release on May 9th in huge number of theatres.
Allu Arjun Becomes A Real Police Officer Now
In the good olden days, the likes of Megastar Chiru and Nandamuri Balakrishna have excelled in police officer roles and later Venky also did the same. But in the present set of heroes, except Raviteja, other heroes have done either one or none films in the khakis.
Reports are coming that Allu Arjun will be now becoming that real police officer in his upcoming film “ICON”. Earlier he has appeared and impressed as a fake police officer who works seriously in the film Race Gurram. But that film depended entirely on comedy. And now, this mega hero will be seen in a serious cop avatar, if the grapevine is to be believed.
We hear that his role is modelled on the lines of Venky’s role in Gautham Menon’s Gharshana. It will be a serious, sincere and tough cop role, and Allu Arjun is said to have got pretty excited about it. But what he has to make sure is that there should not be so much of propaganda like it happened in the case of Naa Peru Surya movie.
On the other hand, Bunny is getting ready to kick start and finish Trivikram’s film, tentatively titled Alakananda, at the earliest.

Sam Avoids Majili Success Meet. What’s Up?

How Will This Heroine Fit RRR Role?
After the name of Parineeti Chopra has done rounds everywhere in India regarding Baahubali director SS Rajamouli’s #RRR, there came the name of Saaho beauty Shraddha Kapoor. While the rumour is going quite strong, fans of Rajamouli are questioning how come she fits the bill.
Coming to #RRR, while Alia Bhatt is paired with Ram Charan in the film, British actress Daisy Edgar Zones was roped in for Jr NTR, though she walked out later due to dates issues. And now, Bollywood folks are super busy promoting that Shraddha Kapoor is well in talks for this role.
The main question that wonders anyone is, when Rajamouli has written a role of an English girl who falls in love with NTR’s character, one wonders how Shradhha Kapoor can appear like an English lady, even with any makeup and visual effects. To get body language, accent and other stuff in the right way, Rajamouli has to pick only a foreigner for this role.
At the same time, if the director is on the idea to change the script, replacing a British girl role with Indian girl role, then Shraddha might fit the bill. so we have to see what happens with #RRR now!
No New Films for NTR Jr
NTR Jr will not be signing any new movies till the completion of Rajamouli’s “RRR” though Ram Charan has already confirmed his next with director Vamshi Paidipally.
NTR doesn’t want to give assurance to any director at this moment as he wants to surrender to Rajamouli’s vision.
NTR has been delivering hits consistently but his market is not growing further. He is hoping to move to the next level with Rajamouli’s mega epic period drama that is being made with whopping Rs 350 Cr budget in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.
He has also informed the number one director that he would not put any pressure on him to complete the movie in a certain period of time. NTR Jr is more than willing to give any number of dates to Rajamouli.
Directors like Koratala Siva, Tamil director Atlee, Murugadoss and Surender Reddy are in queue to team with up with NTR after Rajamouli completes “RRR” but he would decide his next movie in 2020 only.
Cozy office for Jagan in Telangana secretariat?
Ever since the elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly were held on April 11, there have been reports from all parts of the state indicating that YSR Congress party is most likely to come to power.
This has led to several speculations in the social media on how Jagan would run the administration, where he would be operating from, how his relations with Telangana government headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be and how he is going to tackle the Telugu Desam Party.
According to one such speculative report, Telangana chief minister is going to spruce up the Telangana secretariat for Jagan and create a cozy, posh office for him.
Though KCR himself has not been visiting the secretariat, he might do so in the coming days and whenever Jagan comes to Hyderabad, he could run the administration from his chamber in the Telangana secretariat.
For the record sake, a part of secretariat in Hyderabad is still in the possession of Andhra Pradesh government and it will continue to be there for another five years.
However, the entire secretariat staff has moved to Amaravati in the last three years and so, even if Jagan comes to Telangana secretariat, there won’t be any staff for him.
However, if the report is to be believed, Jagan can use the chamber to hold negotiations with Telangana officials on key issues of mutual concern, whenever he comes to Hyderabad.
But it is unlikely that such a thing would happen, as Jagan has to run the administration only from Amaravati!
‘Saaho’ on Right Track, No Further Delay
There have been posts on social media that the makers of Prabhas starrer “Saaho” will be pushed to Dussera due to delay in the production.
It is fact that “Saaho” has not yet completed its entire shoot but the team has slammed the reports of postponement.
The action extravagant will release as announced on August 15, 2019 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages simultaneously.
Being made with Rs 300 Cr budget, “Saaho” is aiming to wrap up the shoot by May end or early June.
Three songs are left to be canned and one song is currently being shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
Director Sujith with his inexperience in filming such lavish budget is taking time to complete but the film is on right course, say the makers.
“Saaho” features Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead. It boasts of stunning action stunts that are choreographed by Hollywood stunt master Kenny Bates
Is He A Threat To Nani’s Jersey?
Nani has pinned a lot of hopes on Jersey, a sports drama directed by Gautham Tinnanuri. Nani plays the role of a middle aged cricketer who resumes his career to prove his worth to his son.
The trailer of Jersey has been receiving thumping response for its emotional content and Nani’s performance. Jersey is sure to take a good start in A centres and overseas markets.
But it will be challenged by Raghava Lawrence’s horror comedy Kanchana 3 that is also releasing on the same day, April 19.
Kanchana franchise has been one of the most successful franchises in South Cinema.
Lawrence is an expert at making an appealing horror comedy, which has been proved many a time.
Kanchana 3 is being promoted aggressively given the popularity of the franchise among the masses.
The film will definitely get a roaring opening in mass pockets on this Friday. Its further run will depend on the film’s merits.
Kanchana 3 is sure going to be a serious contender for Jersey at least in the mass markets.
Do YSRC leaders have any doubt on victory?
Till now, the atmosphere in the YSR Congress party is of euphoria and celebration. The party leaders have been putting up jubilant faces and sounding pretty confidence about their victory.
But for the last two days, one wonders whether they have got any slight doubt over the party’s victory.
It was evident from the way the party leaders revived the attack on Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for going to Delhi and bringing pressure on the Centre and also the Election Commission.
In the normal course, the YSRC leaders should have remained silent as they are confident of their victory, as revealed in various surveys, while it is understandable that Naidu is making a hue and cry over EVMs’ malfunctioning and demanding counting of slips in at least 50 per cent of the VVPAT machines. Naidu’s outburst only reflects his lack of confidence.
But instead of being quiet, the YSRC leaders also chose to run from pillar to post to complain against Naidu. They met the Chief Election Commissioner and back home, YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy himself led a delegation to Governor to represent against Naidu for controlling the administration even now.
The YSRC leaders have also written to the EC seeking protection by paramilitary forces for the strong rooms where EVMs were kept.
“All these developments only appear to reflect the panicky reactions from YSRC. It makes one wonder whether they have got any doubt over the manipulative strategies of Naidu,” a political analyst said.
Interestingly, almost all the senior TDP leaders are showing tremendous confidence that the party would come back to power and there were no signs of any panic.
This might be the reason for YSRC suspecting that Naidu might have played some last minute game to turn the tide in his favour.
Anyways, let us wait for one more month!
Cops finally book case against Kodela!
The representation given by YSR Congress party delegation led by party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to Governor E S L Narasimhan on Tuesday complaining that Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was misusing the police to intimidate the YSRC workers seems to have worked.
Within no time, the Guntur Police registered an FIR against assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao for violating the Election Commission guidelines and storming into the police station at Inumetla village of Sattenapalli constituency on April 11.
Jagan clearly pointed out that Kodela locked himself inside the polling booth, tore his own shirt and enacted a big drama.
“Entering the polling booth unauthorisedly and bolting it from inside and intimidating the voters is a big crime. But the police have not booked any case against him,” he complained to the Governor.
Apparently getting a direction from Raj Bhavan, the police booked a case against Kodela for trespassing into the polling booth and also for creating violent scenes.
Earlier, the Guntur police booked a case against YSRC workers only, following a complaint from Kodela stating that he was manhandled by them. Now, after five days, the police booked case against Kodela, too, on the charges of booth capturing.
Along with Kodela, 22 other TDP leaders were booked in the FIR. The case is filed at Rajupalem police station and it was YSRCP who alleged Kodela indulged in booth capturing. Kodela is the third accused in the FIR.
Megastar’s Message: Not Interested in Politics
If there is any message that Megastar Chiranjeevi has sent to his fans and the general public alike in the recent period, that is he is no longer interested in politics.
After the completion of his Rajyasabha term, Chiranjeevi has completely stayed away from political world.
He has not even changed his stance when his own family members tested their luck in polls.
He didn’t campaign for his brothers Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu who contested for assembly and parliament seats respectively in the recently concluded elections in Andhra Pradesh.
He didn’t either budge to the request of his daughter-in-law to campaign for Vishweswara Reddy, who contested as MP from Chevella parliament constituency in Telangana.
With this stance, he clearly sent a message to all that his political career is over. He has moved on in his life like Amitabh Bachhan had done in the past.
Amitabh who joined congress on the request of his friend and then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi later bid good-bye to politics after some bitter developments. Amitabh never returned to politics though his wife joined Samajwadi party later.
Megastar Chiranjeevi too is following Big B. He wants to focus on his acting career only. He is shooting for “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”.
There is honesty in Naga Chaitanya: Koratala Siva
Director Koratala Siva who graced the success meet of ‘Majili’ said there is honesty in hero Naga Chaitanaya and that reflects in the roles he do.Speaking at the event, Siva further said, “Hero Naga Chaitanya knows his strengths and weakness. As Poorna in the film, he reached top league with his performance.”
He added that stories like this which are close to reality are needed.
“From the story to the title, I like everything about it. Majili is a genuine film and I congratulate the entire cast and crew,” said Koratala Siva.Director Anil Ravipudi also graced the event and added that Naga Chaitanya evolved as a complete actor.
“While I was watching the film, I could see only Poorna character and that’s that amount of involvement, the film took me to. Director Shiva has come up with a sensible subject and the performances of all the actors was equally intense and engaging,” said Anil Ravipudi.
Hero Naga Chiatanya thanked both directors Koratala Siva and Anil Ravipudi for their kind words. He whole-heartedly thanked director Shiva Nirvana for giving a memorable and special film in his career.
‘Majili’ success meet was also attended by music composer SS Thaman, Rao Ramesh, Posani, Divyansha, Subbaraju and others.
