Three Big Hurdles For Majili At Box Office
Tomorrow, as another Friday arrives, Tollywood sees another movie hitting the cinemas. And that brings Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s Majili to theatres without much of competition other than Prema Katha Chitram 2. But Majili’s journey will not be without hurdles.
Firstly with Sunrisers Hyderabad playing in the top gear, this year edition of Indian Premier League turned pretty interesting for Telugu cricket lovers. And every day they are catching up almost all the two matches being played. This might impact first show collections of movies.
And then, Majili will be facing stiff competition from TV channels for a week as the assembly elections fever in AP and parliament elections fever in both the Telugu states is at peaks and people are glued to their television sets most of the time. Even social media is also posing a threat to films these days as many of audiences are engulfed with political discussions there.
There comes the third threat in the form of ‘comedy’. We hear that Majili is mostly an emotional drama throughout the second half of the film and generally audiences expect to see F2 like films in Summer. That might give a little blow when it comes to attracting the whole of kids and teens.
All said and done, if Majili gets a hit talk, then nothing could stop the film’s run at the box office. This 2 hours 34 minutes movie is a family drama with wife winning the love of her drunkard husband as the central theme.
#RRR Updates: Is The Team Telling Lies?
Yesterday evening, a disappointing tweet has come out from #RRR team as they revealed that Ram Charan got his ankle injury while working out in the gym. And then, they have called off the Pune schedule of the movie for almost three weeks. Here comes the shocker, however.
While Jr NTR stated that they are heading for Vadodara schedule on March 29th, which he stressed out as the longest schedule, how come #RRR team announced that their Pune schedule is canceled? Tarak also shared the air tickets of himself, Charan and Rajamouli regarding the same.
That brings us to the question if #RRR team is at least trying to tell the truth or they are just making sure that every tweet of them will get a superior hype? Are they trying to garner the attention of people with these tweets? Or there is a mistake in the tweet? Or they are just fooling around?
With so many confusing questionings mushrooming, many are waiting to find out why Pune schedule of #RRR got canceled when Charan-Tarak-Rajamouli went to Gujarat!!
Transgenders demand for Vijay Sethupati’s arrest
Tamil hero Vijay Sethupathi was seen playing the role of a transgender in Super Deluxe film and his character was named as Shilpa. The film is a critically-acclaimed one. Vijay has received huge appreciation for his phenomenal performance as a transgender.
But, many from the community are distressed and angry over the film as they believe the story portrayed them in a bad light. The plot involves Shilpa kidnapping two children and handing over them to someone else to earn money.
In reality, a few transgender people found the story very disturbing and hurting their sentiments. They have demanded the arrest of the actor Vijay Sethupathi. “We had good regard for Vijay Sethupathi but he had ruined the impression by doing this film. His dialogues were solely on a transgender person kidnapping children. Can anyone recall of such a crime committed by a transgender person? We are surprised on how Vijay did not reject the story as soon as he heard it.”
Super Deluxe film has gained both positive and negative responses global wide. The film was released worldwide on March 29.

Actress Madhavi Latha said she is not a B.Com physics politician and is quite well educated compared to many in the state of AP. Few days back this ‘Nacchavule’ lady joined BJP and also managed to get an assembly ticket. No regional party in Andhra Pradesh state has ethical values and so she preferred a national party. She is contesting from Guntur West constituency and is campaigning intensively for the past couple of days.
Speaking about her experience, Madhavi Latha said, “I have almost covered all the divisions of the constituency. The response from public is amazing and they are welcoming me like their own daughter.” When asked what she will do for the constituency, if get elected as MLA, she replied that, there are no different problems in Guntur. People want better roads, drinking water and other basic facilities.
Madhavi Latha added that she wanted to join politics in 2014 but restrained herself so as to gain knowledge about politics and issues related to the public. “The last five years, I have spent more time, learning about things and public life. But there is a lot yet to be learned,” opined she.
When asked about film actors entering politics, Madhavi Latha seems to have soft corner for profession. “Actors are good people too. They don’t have thoughts of entering politics and doing scams. Few of them come to politics without knowledge and then learn things,” added Madhavi Latha.
She said that she will still be with people and fight for their problems even if she loses the elections and is here to stay for long.

Dil Raju extends support to TRS MP candidate
Noted producer Dil Raju has extended his support to TRS Secunderabad MP candidate Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav. A meet has been organised at Film Chamber earlier today by director N Shankar and Tollywood personalities belonging to Telangana region have graced it.
Dil Raju is among the famous faces who were present at this meet and speaking he said, “TRS party got a bumper majority in the assembly elections. Now they are eager to play a crucial role in the national politics by winning 16 seats. One among the 16 is Secunderabad Lok Sabha for which Talasani Sai Kiran is contesting. We are there with him and there is a need to vote for him and secure a decent majority.”
The producer shared the support the film industry received from minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav as cinematography minister. Talasani’s son Sai Kiran is a 32 year and is contesting elections for the first time. This support of Telangana film industry people is a big push for the TRS party.
Chiru Is An Artist, I’m Not: Pawan
Curtailing down all the rumours and hopes of Jana Sena party sympathisers, Pawan Kalyan has clarified that his brother and Megastar Chiranjeevi will not campaign for the party. A section of Jana Sena is looking at Chiranjeevi and his charisma in the public. Though they wanted to ask Pawan to bring Chiru on board for the election campaign, they could not.
Somehow this inner thought of the cadre reached Pawan and he issued a clarification and settled the things once and for all. Not just this Pawan also made some comments on Chiru’s political future. “To my knowledge, he has come to a decision on politics. It’s all in his hands. The way he looks at politics is completely different from my thought process,” said Pawan.
The Jana Sena chief also added he and his brother have full clarity on what needs to be done in politics. “My brother is an artist and I’m not,” concluded Pawan.
This is an upsetting news for the Mega fans but in a way it is a good sign such that Pawan is not relying on his brother for votes and taking things on his own.
Graphics Behind Huge Crowds At Jagan’s Meeting!
These are the days where netizens are quickly identifying which director copied which scene from which Hollywood film. And they are not stopping there, they also make comparison videos of it, before uploading them on Facebook.
Right now one such video is doing rounds everywhere where people are feeling that YS Jagan and his party are actually doctoring the videos to show a huge crowd. One video says that actually the number of people that have attended for Jagan’s meeting are in less crowd but the ones that are aired on Jagan’s media house shows that there are more than 10000 crowds at the venue.
Social media folks are opining that Jagan’s men are resorting to heavy-duty visual effects for crowd multiplication which generally we see cinema folks using it. Some netizens also commented that maybe Jagan’s media got inspired by recent biopic movies where producers have used barely 100 extras and later replicated them through visual effects as thousands of supporters.
If this is about Jagan, there are also accusations that even other parties in the political fray are also resorting to a similar technique.
Telangana VROs to fight Against KCR!
Last week Telangana CM KCR has called on an ordinary farmer who posted his problem on Facebook. In his conversation, KCR informed the farmer that he is planning to scrap off the revenue department due to irregularities and corruption allegations. This news created a storm and it is going to be Village Revenue Officers (VROs) who will suffer the most.
Reacting to these reports, the association of VROs are getting ready to fight it with Telangana government. Speaking on it association president Golconda Satish said, “The loopholes in Dharani website have turned into a curse for VROs. We have made a number of appeals to the higher officials to rectify the errors in the site. From pensions to Kalyana Lakshmi and other government welfare schemes are successfully being implemented by us and so the government got a good name. Looks like our employees hard work went in vain. It is unfortunate that VROs are being framed as corrupt officers.”
The VROs association also condemned about the reports that the revenue department will be cancelled and added that they won’t let this happen and will not even spare if revenue is made part of any other department. “We will hold talks with other associations in revenue department and will announce our future course after April 11th,” said Satish.
If we go back in time, KCR in his conversation with farmer, said revenue officers would protest because of the decision he would take in the future and so asked the farmers to be on his side to take some tight measures about revenue department.
‘They tried to attack me with acid,’ Jaya Prada
Actress Jaya Prada, who joined BJP some time back, is busy campaigning for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During a public rally in Rampur, the actress-turned-politician broke down saying that she had been compelled to leave Rampur which is her former constituency.
She accused Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan that he tried attacking her. “I left my constituency and politics because they tried to attack me with acid,” she said.
Jaya, now the BJP candidate, filed her nomination papers for upcoming the Lok Sabha election. She praised the party that BJP is her strength now and she is proud to be in the BJP where women are extremely valued. “I don’t want to cry like before. I have the right to live, and I will serve you,” she said.
Now, for the upcoming elections, Jaya Prada is facing opposition from Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan, who was an ex-colleague to her. In fact, they both campaigned together in the 2004 election from the constituency.
Pawan Not Jealous On Stars Joining YSRC
The other day, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his jealousy by criticizing Telugu film stars for making a beeline to Lotus Pond to join the YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
He went to the extent of saying that the film stars were being forced to join the YSRC under pressure from Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
He alleged that KCR was threatening the Tollywood and forcing them to support the YSRC.
But, Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan reacted in a more dignified manner on the film stars joining the YSRC.
He told a television channel that film stars had every freedom to support the political party of their choice, but that would hardly make any difference in the elections.
“There is a clear cut distinction between acting and politics. It is true that people would cheer actors when they appear in public, but when it comes to voting, they have their own preferences. They don’t take actors seriously in politics, unless they have firm commitment to serving the people,” he said.
He was reacting to his close friend in movies – comedian Ali – joining the YSRC.
“Well, Ali has freedom to join any political party. He believed in Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and hence, joined the YSRC. It was his choice,” Pawan said.
In fact, Ali made several somersaults before joining the YSRC. Initially, everybody thought he would join the Jana Sena, because he is a close friend of Pawan Kalyan.
Later, he met Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, giving the impression that he would join the TDP. But finally, he chose YSR Congress party.
Chay and Sam rehearsed at home for ‘Majili’ climax
Hero Naga Chaitanya appears to be relaxed ahead of his upcoming movie ‘Majili’ release tomorrow. It’s because of the immense confident he has on the film that it will click at the box office.
From the beginning, Chay has been saying that the script is what thoroughly impressed him and then said the climax of the film is going to be highlight.
When asked about what sort of homework he did for the climax episode, the Akkineni hero revealed few details.
“Me and Samantha know about the climax episode about a month back when we were shooting for other options. Initially we had a discussion about how to perform and carry those emotions and expressions throughout the scene.
“We did do certain rehearsals at home and then went for the shoot. We are relieved as director Shiva Nirvana got convinced with our performance. Hopefully audience would also like it,” said Chaitanya.
This is something we don’t usually hear from a young hero and Naga Chaitanya is turning into a seasoned actor which is a good sign.
‘Majili’ is the first combination of Chay and Sam after the wedding. The film is carrying good hype.
