Niharika Started Her First Phase Of Campaigning

Share

We has revealed well in advance that both Varun Tej and Niharika will be campaigning for their dad Nagababu who is contesting on Janasena ticket for Narsapuram MP constituency. And now, Niharika has started her first phase of promotion and will be soon joining the cadres at Bhimavaram.

What is that first phase of promotion anyway? Without taking the name of Pawan Kalyan or Janasena party other day Niharika has given an entry into Jabardasth to promote her latest movie, today’s release Suryakantham. Apparently, the mega siren has turned up in Gabbar Singh getup, holding an empty tea glass in her hand.

As she flaunted that tea glass to all, it’s a clear indication that she is asking everyone to vote for Janasena. While all the sections of audiences that love Janasena are not going to like this, surely this is a stunner pulled by Niharika in the show.

And recently she confirmed that after the film’s release she will join her father in the campaigning blaze in Narasupram constituency.

Dil Raju’s Bollywood Debut Confirmed!!

Share

Ace producer Dil Raju is going places these days with his choice of films. He started off 2019 on a bang even though he pitted his F2: Fun and Frustration against legends like NTR Kathanayakudu and Vinaya Vidheya Rama. On that note, he’s now venturing into Bollywood too.

Reportedly the Telugu producer didn’t sell the rights of his super blockbuster F2 but he is now going to become co-producer of the film in Hindi, thereby making his Bollywood debut. Along with Boney Kapoor, now Dil Raju will remake F2 with a huge star-cast in Hindi, with Anees Bazmi being picked as the director of the film.

Reports are coming that they will be meeting Akshay Kumar to play the role of Venkatesh, while Arjun Kapoor is most likely to reprise the role of Varun Tej. Anyway, with Dil Raju going to Bollywood, we have to see if he will also score a mega hit like Allu Arvind whose last film Ghajini created many new clubs in Hindi hinterlands when it comes to box-office revenues.

I Don’t Know That’s Compliment Or Insult, Says Samantha

Share

Today it happens to be the release of Samantha’s latest film. No, her “Majili” with husband Chay is getting released on April 5th, but her recent Tamil movie “Super Deluxe” has hit cinemas today.

Quite surprisingly Samantha played the role of a vamp in this flick, where she gets into an affair with someone after her husband stands to ignore her. Then she conspires with her paramour to murder her husband. And the first reaction of some audiences and critics has surprised Samantha big time.

Apparently, with a comment coming out that Samantha should just retire from films because she has delivered her career’s best performance in Super Deluxe, the actress got stunned. “I don’t know if I’ve to take that as a compliment or insult” she felt, over those comments.

Featuring Vijay Sethupathi in a transgender’s role and the likes of Ramya Krishna and Faahad Fassil in other crucial roles, Super Deluxe is being termed as epic by many critics, but we have to see what general audiences will say.

Lakshmi NTR : Review

Share

The last phase of NTR’s life has been omitted from the biopic made by Balakrishna and Krish for obvious reasons. So Ram Gopal Varma jumped into cash in on the sensational and most controversial phase of NTR’s life in Lakshmi’s NTR.

What is it about?

Rama Rao (Vijay Kumar) is dejected after the defeat in 1989 polls and then enters Lakshmi Parvathi (Yagna Shetty) into his life in the name of writing his biography. They develop a bonding and decide to marry that doesn’t go well with Rama Rao’s children and son in law Babu (Sri Tej). Rest of the film is about how Babu plots a conspiracy to grab the ‘Mana Desam’ party from Rama Rao that eventually leads to the demise of the actor cum politician.

Performances:

Vijay Kumar appears like a stage artist and couldn’t do justice to the NTR character. He appears pale and dull in long shots that the directors purposefully shot close ups to make him appear like Rama Rao. Actor Sri Tej is very impressive as Babu and Yagna Shetty is overly dramatic portraying Lakshmi Parvathy’s role.

Technicalities:

Ram Gopal Varma’s mark is present in the scenes showing the power of NTR. He also did well in portraying the negative shades of Babu just by camera angles. However, too much focus on the so called love story of Rama Rao and Lakshmi turns out to be a big headache for viewers. Ram Gopal Varma blatantly made this film with one-sided view point showing Lakshmi Parvathi as the true admirer of NTR and victim of a political conspiracy.

Production values are pretty ordinary. Camera angles are innovative in few scenes but the music is pretty loud. There are many songs that are absolutely needless. None of the songs are catchy too. Editing is not up to the mark with many scenes dragging for no real purpose.

Thumbs Up:

Few scenes showcasing the conspiracy behind NTR’s fall

Thumbs Down:

One sided take on NTR’s last phase

Unnecessary songs

Dragging scenes

Excessive Drama

Analysis:

Ram Gopal Varma has been stressing that Lakshmi’s NTR is a truthful take on the late legendary leader’s life and his second marriage. However, anyone could say that he has inclined fully towards Lakshmi Parvathy to showcase NTR’s family members and especially Chandra Babu as the villain. Ram Gopal Varma deliberately tried to showcase that the love between Rama Rao and Lakshmi Parvathy is eternal and pure.

There is not a single scene where Lakshmi Parvathy appears to be cashing in on the image of NTR’s wife. She remains ‘Sathi Savitri’ from the beginning to the end. RGV went on to create sympathy on her by focusing camera on her after NTR’s death. She is seen pushed away by everyone and is left behind the crowd when her ‘husband’ dies. RGV shows that it was NTR who proposed to marry her and he was the one who asked her to join him for the canvassing.

Chandra Babu is shown like a cold blooded villain who had plotted everything to snatch the party and CM post from his father in law. There are a few unintentionally funny scenes that depicts the romance of Rama Rao and Lakshmi. RGV does a fine job in choosing the actors for key roles. He did well in filming the scenes that lead to the Viceroy incident and after. However, the drama towards the end highlighting the plight of Lakshmi Parvathi has gone overboard.

Hardcore haters of Chandra Babu may enjoy the film for obvious reasons. But as a film it is yet another mediocre effort from Ram Gopal Varma who just focused on making it a propaganda film rather sticking to the facts and without taking sides. The story is about Lakshmi’s NTR, but it turned out to be Ram Gopal Varma’s glorification of Lakshmi Parvathy.

Verdict: RGV’s Lakshmi!

When Tabu Became Cynosure Of All Eyes

Share

Tabassum Hashmi aka Tabu is a popular heroine both in Telugu industry and in the Bollywood too. Other day she was in Hyderabad to attend a wedding reception, and guess what, her presence has just radiated the scene there.

At the reception of hero Daggubati Venkatesh’s daughter Aashrita, actually, the 47 year old actress Tabu became the cynosure of all eyes. Though there are other senior heroines like Nadiya, Kushboo, Radhika and Meena are also present at the venue, Tabu’s gorgeous looks are said to have smitten everyone.

Tabu still had that terrific glamour side in her, say onlookers, and her photos from the event are proving the same. However, she is looking forward to taking up mother roles in Tollywood and already she is in talks with Trivikram regarding turning mother to Allu Arjun on the silver screen.

And at the same event, even Shruti Haasan has dazzled in a black outfit, where her glamorous attire and also that golden neckpiece grabbed all the attention.

Unexpected Shock To Vijay Deverakonda

Share

Vijay Deverakonda has received an unexpected shock from Tamil superstar Suriya. Suriya’s most-awaited film NGK (Nandha Gopalan Kumaran) which also stars Sai Pallavi is now slated for May 31st release clashing with Vijay’s Dear Comrade. Since Suriya’s NGK is also planned for simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil like Dear Comrade that is releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on 31st May, Vijay is said to be in shock.

While Arjun Reddy did notably well in Chennai and garnered him star image, his next NOTA was an average in Tamil while the film bombed in Telugu. Now, Vijay wants to make his moves well as he is planning to expand his base. Vijay is now taken aback with the announcement of Suriya’s NGK.

Vijay is said to be asking Mythri Movie Makers to postpone Dear Comrade by a week in order to avoid clash with Suriya. Since distributors have already been informed about 31st May release in multiple languages, Mythri Movie Makers are in a fix. Will Dear Comrade be postponed? Or Will it clash with Suriya’s NGK?

Niharika Is Original Choice, Not Keerthi Suresh

Share

The talk in Film Industry is always that like Lakshmi Manchu, even Niharika Konidela will do movies only that are scripted with her role as a nucleus of the whole story. Is there any truth in that? What has the Konidela lady to say about this?

Calling that as a weird rumour, Niharika revealed that she never asked anyone to come up with a story that completely revolves around her character. “If there is a good enough role for me, definitely I will do that movie. There is no truth in the weird rumour that I will do only films that are centered around me. In fact, I am asking others for such offers where they could give me good characters” said Niharika.

Adding further, she stated that in fact, she should have done ‘Nenu Sailaja’ movie, in the role that starred Keerthi Suresh. “Actually they offered me the lead role in Nenu Sailaja movie. But by that time, I am still in the process of convincing my parents and family that I will become a heroine. The film unit has waited for nearly a month, but still, I couldn’t say them an yes. So I lost that film” she says, sounding a bit regretful in her voice.

Of course, anyone who comes to know that Niharika is the original choice for Nenu Sailaja will surely feel pity for the mega daughter. Because doing that film would have given jet propulsion to her career.

Owaisi says KCR could become PM!

Share

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has become a bosom friend of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao so much so that he is dreaming to see KCR as the next Prime Minister of the country.

Owaisi told a section of media that there was every possibility of a non-BJP, non-Congress front forming the government at the Centre with a regional leader emerging as a Prime Minister. There would be no surprise if the regional leader could be KCR as well.

Owaisi said the upcoming Lok Sabha polls will be an open election and there will be a fight for every single seat of the total 543 constituencies.

“Unlike 2014, there is no Modi wave this time. It is an open election and there will be a fight on every seat, including Hyderabad,” he said.

The MIM supremo said his party would be definitely a part of the non-BJP, non-Congress front led by the TRS chief.

“This front would be necessary to represent India’s political diversity and there are many regional leaders who are much more capable than Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi,” Owaisi added.

He, however, did not share details how the non-BJP, non-Congress front will take shape post polls nor did he disclosed probable prime ministerial candidate who can lead the front, even as he expressed confidence that the regional parties will play a decisive role in the national politics.

Owaisi, referring to a report, said there is a direct fight between the BJP and the Congress in 100 out of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. But in over 320 seats, there is a triangular fight between the BJP, the Congress and the regional parties.

“Regional parties will play a key role in national politics. We tried the 280-plus NDA government, we tried 210 government of UPA, What came out of it? I want India’s diversity should be represented. Wait for the results,” he said.

The BJP will not gain much in the five southern states, which comprise 130 Lok Sabha constituencies, except for a few seats in Karnataka. The saffron party is likely to lose its lone seat in Secunderabad this time, Owaisi added.

Testing Time for Kondiela Suryakantam

Share

Niharika Konidela who has been trying to score a hit in Tollywood has pinned all her hopes on ‘Suryakantam’ that releases this Friday. The film is directed by Pranith Bramandapally who successfully made a webseries named Muddapappu Avakai with Niharika.

Although the film’s trailer is uninteresting, she has confidence on the director as he presented her well in the web series and is confident that this would give her first break as actress in Tollywood.

Despite no success, Niharika is hitting the headlines thanks to her popularity on social media. She is daughter of Naga Babu that is another reason for her popularity. Her father fondly calls her Suryakantam. So, will this name and film bring her luck?

Hits or flops, she wants to continue acting. I am serious about this, she said.

KCR’s ‘over confidence’ to prove costly for TRS!

Share

It was a ‘cake walk’ for TRS in upcoming Lok Sabha polls. But KCR’s ‘over confidence’ has turned the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana as a ‘tough battle’ between TRS and Congress in few seats and TRS and BJP in few other seats.

After resounding victory in Assembly polls in December last, KCR has turned over-confident and arrogant.

This was reflected in his ‘wrong selection’ of candidates for 10 Lok Sabha seats. KCR fielded only seven sitting MPs. In the remaining 10 seats he made ‘experiments’, which may prove costly for TRS.

KCR fielded new faces for five seats, who are contesting elections for the first time. They include G Ranjith Reddy (Chevella), Marri Rajasekhar Reddy (Malkajgiri), Manne Srinivas Reddy (Mahabubnagar), Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy (Nalgonda) and Talasani Saikiran Yadav (Secunderabad).

In other five seats, KCR has fielded ‘old faces’ but they are contesting elections from TRS for the first time.

They are Nama Nageshwar Rao (Khammam), P Ramulu (Nagarkurnool), B Venkatesh Nethani (Peddapalli), Maloth Kavitha (Mahabubabad) and Puste Srikanth (Hyderabad).

Of this, Hyderabad seat is a ‘namesake contest’ to help MIM win.

Worse still is Nama Nageshwar Rao and Venkatesh Nethani were given tickets on the same day when they joined TRS.

With this both these candidates are still seeking votes for cycle and hand symbols respectively out of confusion.

All these ten candidates are yet to connect with people or TRS cadre, while the polling is just two weeks away.

KCR has fielded only seven sitting MPs, who include his daughter K Kavitha (Nizamabad), B Vinod Kumar (Karimnagar), Boora Narsaiah Goud (Bhongir), Pasunuri Dayakar (Warangal), BB Patil (Zahirabad), Kotha Prabhakar Reddy (Medak) and Gadam Nagesh (Adilabad).

Even in these seven sitting seats, TRS is facing tough fight from Congress and BJP in Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Bhongir.

KCR’s over-confidence is giving jitters to party leaders and cadre.

If results come otherwise, KCR may have to face the consequences for future developments in the party.
