Two Former TTD Chairmen to Battle it Out in Polls

Tirupati: Two former chairmen of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will lock horns in the Tirupati constituency in the April 11 assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.

Chadalavada Krishnamurthy, who has been fielded by the Jana Sena, will be pitted against another former TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy of YSRCP.

Interestingly, this is the first time two former TTD chairpersons are locked in an electoral battle in the temple town, which will witness a multi-cornered contest also involving sitting TDP MLA M Suguna.

Krishnamurthy, who belongs to a dominant Balija community, quit the Telugu Desam Party led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu last year and later joined actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party.

Krishnamurthy had served as chairman of the TTD Board, which administers the cash-rich ancient Lord Venkateswara temple at nearby Tirumala among others in 2015 while

Karunakara Reddy held the coveted post in 2006. Krishnamurthy had quit the TDP last year after levelling corruption allegations against Suguna.

Trivikram likes to cast veteran heroines in elderly roles in his films. Nadhiya played Pawan Kalyan’s Attha in Atharintidi Daredi and Kushboo played Pawan’s step mother in Agnyathavasi.

Now he is thinking to rope in yesteryears dream girl Tabu as Allu Arjun’s mother in his upcoming film #AA19.

Allu Arjun and the other team are reportedly excited with the idea of casting Tabu in a key role, but Trivikram is yet to meet Tabu and offer her the said role.

We have to wait and see whether Tabu is willing to play the mother character or not.

Trivikram has finished the script work and getting the pre production work done before the film starts rolling.

The film is likely to hit the floors in April. Meanwhile, there is buzz about the film’s title in a section of media. Nanna Nenu is the title in consideration according to media speculations.

He will join Jagan’s party this evening. Naga Babu backstabbed Shivaji Raja in recently held Movie Artistes’ Association elections in which Naresh won over Shivaji Raja.

Shivaji Raja suspected that Naga Babu had changed tracks in the last minute as his brother Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena has made backdoor alliance with Telguu Desam party.

It is now open secret that Jana Sena is B-Team of TDP but back then Shivaji Raja didn’t aware of this. Hence, Naga Babu’s volte-face shocked him.

Shivaji Raja is joining YSRC party as tit for a tat. He will now take on Naga Babu and Naresh head on.

Hero Nithiin has signed a new film and it will be directed by Ramesh Varma. Also the film’s genre is also revealed with few details.This is going to be a love story on the lines of ‘Ishq’ and ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’ which are the best romantic entertainers in Nithiin’s career.

As per the sources, Nithiin was highly impressed by Ramesh Varma’s script and so he formally gave a nod.So this combination of Nithiin and Ramesh Varma will start rolling from August. ‘Rockstar’ Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music and Natarajan Subramanian (Natty) will handle the cinematography.

Koneru Satyanarayana will produce the movie under A Studios banner. Currently this production house is bankrolling Ramesh Varma’s directorial ‘Ratsasan’ Telugu remake which has Bellamkonda Sreenivas in the lead role. ‘Ratsasan’ remake is likely to release in May.

‘Special Status’ is a boring subject: PVP’s Video Goes Viral

Producer and YSR Congress party Vijayawada MP candidate Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP) has said that ‘special status’ to Andhra Pradesh is a boring subject and he wouldn’t talk about it. The above statements were made at CII summit and the video of PVP is currently going viral in the social media.

PVP’s statement is creating a storm in AP politics and realizing that it ran out of hand, he issued a clarification. Speaking to the media, he said, “I deliberately did not want to make any controversy on ‘Special Status.’ The summit is an apolitical event and all the speakers had time limit, so I said I would like to avoid the subject as it would take long. The video is just 17 seconds and people who have leaked it should come up with the full video of my speech.”

The TDP came down heavily on PVP and also targeted YSRCP for it’s stand on ‘Special Status.’ TDP Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani said this shows the attitude of YSRCP and PVP is a financial defaulter. He also is involved in many financial crimes internationally and also has no basic knowledge about common man’s problems.

The first look of ‘Brochevarevarura’ featuring Sree Vishnu is released by the makers on the occasion of Holi festival.Along with Sree Vishnu, the first look poster has comedians Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna.

The trio is seen on a scooter with Vishnu on the driver’s seat. Referring themselves as ‘R3 Batch’, the costumes of all three are also quite colorful.Bottom to the poster, as seen in the concept video, there is set up of a film production i.e, a director with cameraman, hero with heroine and producer with his assistant.

‘Brochevarevarura’ is written and directed by Vivek Athreya while Nivetha Thomas is playing the female lead role.

The film is done with the shooting and the makers are aiming for May release.

US opens premium processing of H-1B

In good news for Indians with job offers in the US, the country’s citizenship and immigration services (USCIS) announced on Tuesday night the opening of premium processing for H-1B cap applications for the next fiscal year.

The first phase of premium processing for fiscal 2020 (year commencing October 1, 2019) will be open to cases that require a change of status. This will include international students currently holding F-1 student visas and working under an optional training programme (OPT), where the employer has sponsored them for H-1B work visas.

The second phase of premium processing for fiscal 2020 will include all other H-1B cap applications.

Filing of H-1B cap applications for fiscal 2020 commences next month from April 1. The earliest that a beneficiary (employee), allotted the work visa, can begin work is October 1.

Owing to the large number of applications for the annual H-1B quota of 85,000 (which includes a Masters cap of 20,000 reserved for those with a US degree); typically the quota is reached within the first few days of April.

USCIS then runs a random lottery to select the applications for further processing, which lately is taking up considerable time and leading to delays.

After this, the H-1B visa is either granted or the application is denied. In this backdrop, premium processing is a boon.

Against a filing fee of $1,410 per application paid by the sponsoring employer, USCIS commits to processing the application within 15 days.

Starting April 1, for H-1B cap applications relating to change of status, employers can concurrently file the request for premium processing.

A release by USCIS points out that the first phase of premium processing will commence later, but will definitely be available before May 20. Premium processing for all other fiscal 2020 capsubject H-1B petitions will not begin until at least June.

“Our two-phased approach to premium processing will make the process more effective and efficient for employers and USCIS,” L Francis Cissna, director, USCIS, has stated.

USCIS has also announced the launch of a data hub on its website, which will make public certain details of H-1B sponsoring employers and filings.

Chiranjeevi to Leave for Japan During Polls?

Megastar Chiranjeevi will not be in India during the election period.

While his brothers Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu are contesting the polls for the first time, Chiranjeevi will be sweating out on the sets of “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”.

Chiranjeevi and his team are planning to leave for Japan to film some key sequences. This sequence was originally planned for shooting last year but they didn’t get dates of required actors.

Since the film is in the last leg of shoot, the team wants to can the Japan episode early next month.

Chiranjeevi will not be campaigning for his brothers. He will completely stay away from Jana Sena. Andhra Pradesh assembly polls are scheduled for April 11, 2019.
