Even as Natural Star Nani gears up for his next big project, The Paradise, his recent blockbuster, HIT 3: The Third Case, has landed in a legal storm. Now, Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa, starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna in the lead roles, appears set to break the trend, opening to positive reviews and strong word‑of‑mouth.

Suriya’s 45th Film Karuppu Targets August Release
Actor Suriya is currently juggling multiple projects, and his 45th film — directed by RJ Balaji — is nearing completion. Except for a few patchwork scenes, the shooting is almost wrapped up, and post‑production is progressing swiftly for an August release.
On the occasion of RJ Balaji’s birthday, the team unveiled the official title: Karuppu. The film is named after the revered folk deity Karuppusamy (Black God). The first poster showcases Suriya in a commanding avatar, holding a sword, with the deity’s silhouette in the backdrop.
Karuppu marks a special reunion for Suriya and Trisha, who last shared the screen in Aaru (2005), after a gap of 20 years. The film also brings Suriya back with the producers of NGK — SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
Billed as an action‑adventure with a unique concept, Karuppu will also feature RJ Balaji’s signature humour. The film has GK Vishnu handling cinematography, while rising composer Sai Abhyankar provides the music.
Sahu Garapati Enters Mollywood with Vyasana Sametham Bandhu Mithradhikal
In recent times, many Telugu producers have been venturing into other film industries. Allu Aravind and Dil Raju have already made their mark in Bollywood and Kollywood, with Dil Raju producing Vijay’s Varisu, and Mythri Movie Makers backing films like Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly (Tamil), Adrishya Jalakangal, and Nadikar (Malayalam).
Now, renowned producer Sahu Garapati — currently producing Megastar Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi’s Mega 157 — has made his debut in the Malayalam film industry. He came on board as a co‑producer for the recently released Vyasana Sametham Bandhu Mithradhikal, a dark comedy set against the backdrop of a funeral that explores themes of family relationships and societal quirks.
Starring Anaswara Rajan in the lead role, the film premiered on June 13 and has been receiving a positive response from both critics and audiences alike. It is also being screened in several multiplexes across Hyderabad.
With the success of this Malayalam venture, it remains to be seen if Sahu Garapati will continue to expand into other languages under his Shine Screens banner.
Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom Release Date Dilemma
The release date of Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom remains undecided, as the film has already been delayed multiple times. Initially slated for May 30, and later pushed to July 4, the team is now considering two possible dates — July 25 or August 1.
However, the recent postponement of Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is reportedly eyeing a July 24 release, has added to the confusion. If HHVM arrives in that window, producer Naga Vamsi may opt out of the July race altogether, making August 1 the viable option for Kingdom.
Even then, the film faces a challenging timeline, with big‑ticket movies like War 2 and Coolie lined up for August 14. This means Kingdom would have only a two‑week window to perform well at the box office — a highly critical and difficult period for its survival. Meanwhile, delays have already started creating a negative buzz around the project, and the team is wary of starting promotions prematurely.
With time running out, a decision on the release date must be taken soon. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, Kingdom stars Bhagyashri Borse alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
