Attack on Jagan : Governor Crosses Line?
It is common knowledge by now that all is not well between AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Govenor ESL Narasimhan. And the duo’s differences have exposed once again in the wake of attack on opposition leader YS Jagan.
After the attack, Governor has telephoned AP DGP Thakur directly. This said to have irked CM Chandrababu further. Naidu is upset that how can Governor directly call a state DGP. Naidu and TDP leaders are of the opinion that Governor should call Chief Minister if he need any details about the incident.
Even CM Chandrababu Naidu has responded and openly expressed his displeasure over the function of Governor. Naidu reportedly told that Governor is crossing his line by intervening in governance. Naidu has made it clear that Governor has no right to intervene in a state government’s functioning.
Naidu recalled that the TDP had fought against the Governor-system in the past. Naidu was quoted as saying that “everyone knows who is working for whom” and “who is doing politics for whom”. Naidu stated that he won’t allow to implement Delhi’s script in Andhra Pradesh.
Why A ‘fan’ Would Attack Jagan?
While J Srinivasa Rao, identified as the attacker of YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, was immediately nabbed after the attack, the motive for the attack continues to remain unclear.
Andhra Pradesh director general of police (DGP) Ram Pravesh Thakur claimed that Rao was a “fan” of Reddy, although he did not elaborate on as why a purported “fan” would attack his “idol”.
City police, too said the same that Rao is a “fan” of Reddy though they too could not answer why an alleged fan would attack someone he admires so much.
Mahendra Patrudu, additional deputy commissioner of police (DCP), said Rao has told police that he attacked Reddy to generate sympathy for the opposition leader ahead of the assembly elections in 2019.
Interestinly, Patrudu pointed out that Rao had changed his mobile phone number nine times in the past one year.
Police have constituted a special investigation team to probe the attack, on the orders of DGP Thakur, Partrudu said. It has also sent a team to Hyderabad to interview Reddy.
Rao’s brother Subbaraju went to local TV stations to claim that Rao had been a “great fan” of Reddy and had paid for a six-feet cut-out of Reddy in Mummidivaram.
“I was surprised to hear that my brother attacked Jagan Reddy, because he is a great admirer of the YSR Congress chief. He has no health problems,” Subbaraju said.
Rao has been taken into custody by the police.
Arjun Reddy Is Now Kabir Singh
Shahid Kapoor started shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Hindi remake of his 2017 Telugu drama Arjun Reddy from October 21 at real locations in Mumbai, accompanied by his onscreen group of friends.The film produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde, has been titled Kabir Singh.
The film’s spokesperson confirmed the news, attributing the change in title to the fact that while the original was set in Bangalore and Hyderabad, the remake which targets a pan-India audience is based in Mumbai and Delhi.
“The protagonist is a Punjabi like Shahid who is best suited for the part because he emulates both power and vulnerability,” informs a source close to the development, adding that Sandeep had zeroed in on the name while scripting the remake.
“Shahid, who is known for getting under the skin of a character, has been prepping since the last two months, having grown his hair and beard. He will be in this look for a while now.”However, the film showcases four phases of the protagonist’s life, beginning as a collegian and turning into a professional, followed by a phase of self-destruction and then reformation.
“Right now, they are shooting for the portions with a bearded Shahid, after which they will move to the clean-shaven parts,” adds the source.Leading lady Kiara Advani, who recently featured with Shahid in the recreated version of Prabhudheva’s “Urvashi”, is expected to join the cast in the first week of November.
The team will move to Delhi in December-January.

Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu starring Nara Rohith, Shirya Saran, Sudhir Babu and Sri Vishnu in the lead roles seemed to be a promising thriller. Promos also looked intriguing, which generated some buzz around the film.
It could have taken a decent opening had the makers focused on the promotions, but instead they released the film two days earlier in USA hoping that it would generate positive word of mouth.The makers thought that the film’s content would appeal to the US audience. They believed that the film would trend on the social media by the time it hits the screens in India.
However, the plan miserably backfired as VBVR opened to disastrous reports from USA premieres.
It has also brought down the buzz to zero that is evident from the bookings on online ticketing websites. This will be a lesson to all those who go for such silly marketing plans.
Strange Reason for Cancelation of Mahesh’s Event!
Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for ‘Maharshi’ in New York and he has long back agreed to attend a fund raising dinner in New York on October 27.However, the event has been cancelled due to lack of sufficient ticket sales. There will no be event this weekend in New York.
The high ticket rates were the main reason for tickets not getting sold.Although Mahesh Babu’s movies run terrifically in overseas and he is considered as King of Overseas, the Telugu people didn’t show interest to attend the fund raising event due to exorbitant ticket prices.The event has officially been cancelled now. But the event company has given strange reason for the cancellation.
It said that the event has not been cancelled but postponed to later date due to security reasons.Mahesh Babu has given his consent two months back and his team has already prepared a lengthy AV and went to New York to exhibit there.
Without getting clearance from the authorities, how did they bring Mahesh’s staff from India to attend this event?“The fundraising event ‘An Evening with Superstar Mahesh Babu’ which is supposed to be held on 27th October has been postponed to a later date due to issues with venue and security,” the company said in a statement.
Fact is that it has been cancelled due to lack of sufficient sales.
Jr NTR says no For Sr NTR
The coming together of Jr NTR and Balakrishna at the success meet of Aravinda Sametha has surely stunned Nandamuri fans. They are all pretty happy for the happening as they are desiring to see from last 7-8 years.
On this note, some rumours have started that Jr NTR, who is not part of the prestigious #NTR Biopic being made by Balayya, is likely to become part of the movie. As almost all the roles in the film are filled up, some said that Tarak will be giving a voice over to the film, giving a total fillip to the narrative.
However, these rumours are not holding true as sources close to Krish revealed that there is no such plan. Neither Tarak approached #NTR team with any such idea, nor #NTR team did. That means there is no scope for Jr NTR in that biopic movie set for January release.
