Aravindha Sametha collections have come crashing down after the Dussera weekend. The film is struggling everywhere with minimal footfalls.

Collections are so bad in many centers that it is not able to earn theater rents also.

The film has run into deficits in major territories like Nizam already. In Nizam on Wednesday, Aravindha Sametha suffered more than Rs. 7 lakh deficit and Thursday would be even worse.

The film has collected around Rs. 18 crore share in Nizam, but the deficits are threatening to eat away the recovered revenues.

Even if the film sees a rise during the weekend, it will end up around Rs. 18 crore mark by the end of its theatrical run.

Meanwhile, some paid websites and PR maintained Twitter handles are claiming that the film has crossed Rs. 20 crore mark in Nizam, which is not true.

Given the drastic fall in revenues, Aravindha Sametha would fall well short of Rs. 90 crore mark and is more than likely to end up as an average film at the box office

Mahesh Babu is currently shooting for ‘Maharshi’ in New York and he has long back agreed to attend a fund raising dinner in New York on October 27.

However, the event has been cancelled due to lack of sufficient ticket sales. There will no be event this weekend in New York.The high ticket rates were the main reason for tickets not getting sold.

Although Mahesh Babu’s movies run terrifically in overseas and he is considered as King of Overseas, the Telugu people didn’t show interest to attend the fund raising event due to exorbitant ticket prices.

The event has officially been cancelled now. But the event company has given strange reason for the cancellation.It said that the event has not been cancelled but postponed to later date due to security reasons.

Mahesh Babu has given his consent two months back and his team has already prepared a lengthy AV and went to New York to exhibit there.

Without getting clearance from the authorities, how did they bring Mahesh’s staff from India to attend this event?

“The fundraising event ‘An Evening with Superstar Mahesh Babu’ which is supposed to be held on 27th October has been postponed to a later date due to issues with venue and security,” the company said in a statement.

Fact is that it has been cancelled due to lack of sufficient sales.

After an extensive schedule in Varanasi, the team of Rajinikanth starrer Petta has wrapped up shooting for the whole film. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Pizza fame, the film is slated for release during Pongal, one of the auspicious festivals for Tamilians.

The film crew has cut a cake at Varanasi to celebrate the wrap and had headed back to Chennai. Rajinikanth and Trisha have cut a cake on the sets and Trisha has shared these photographs on her official Twitter handle. Fans of the actors have shared their happiness about the film being wrapped up and local fans there in Varanasi have also taken part in the celebrations.

While Rajinikanth has arrived at the Chennai airport, media has immediately asked the actor to say what he thinks about the #MeToo, he said, ‘People should not misuse this movement. Whoever faces these kinds of allegations has to face the law and follow the protocol. Even Varaimuthu, who has denied the allegations will also have to do the same,’ said the actor.
