Balayya’s son-in-law to get MP ticket?

Share

After the demise of GITAM founder and former TDP MLC, MVSS Murthy, speculation is rife that Nandamuri Balakrishna’s second son-in-law Sri Bharath is being considered by the TDP High Command for the Vizag MP seat. Sri Bharath is the grandson of MVSS Murthy and the husband of Balayya’s daughter, Tejaswini.

It has been a tradition in Telugu Desam Party to give ticket to a family member of the leader in case of sudden demise. The same worked in case of Rammohan Naidu, son of Yerran Naidu, in case of Bhuma Akhila Priya, daughter of Bhuma and Shobha Nagi Reddy and now, with Sri Bharath.

If the TDP zeroes in on Sri Bharath, interestingly, Balayya’s both sons-in-law will be public representatives from the family as TDP is planning to field Nara Lokesh from Kuppam constituency as MLA. Meanwhile, it is a well-known fact that Balayya is also an MLA from Hindupur.

Looks like politics is going to be a full-time vocation for Nara-Nandamuri families in the coming future, even as Kalyan Ram is set to enter the fray in Telangana elections.

Unable To Find A Hero, YS Jagan Dropped

Share

Fretting some of his party men and some detractors, Andhra Pradesh’s opposition leader YS Jagan is still walking roads with a hope to find CM’s chair someday. While this is a political happening, on the other side director Mahi V Raghav is trying to bring Jagan’s father late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s life to the silver screen.

“Yaatra” is a big movie in itself provided with the fact that it is going to showcase YSR’s Paada Yaatra which led to Congress party into ruling in 2004 general elections. Back then, Telugu people who voted to Congress doesn’t know much about his son YS Jagan, but political circles know a lot about him. So what is going to be shown about him on the screen?

Actually, the team of “Yaatra” is said to be struggling to find a hero to play Jagan on the screen. As Mammootty is playing YSR, he’s said to be laying conditions about the hero who will be picked for the role. With him not giving scope to select big names like Surya and other star heroes, now director Mahi is said to have taken a strong call.

There will be not much role of YS Jagan in the film and his character will be almost ignored, say reports, coming from Yaatra unit. That’s a big shocker for sure but Jagan’s millions of fans will be disappointed to see that their favourite leader will not be inside the movie. And the more the film talks about YSR, the more Congress might walk with the honours.

Talk: Vijay Poured 4 Cr For His Film’s Release

Share

Films of even big Telugu star heroes got postponed with producer unable to clear the finances and settle dues of all the parties involved in the production of the film. And there are some heroes who have given up their pending remuneration for the safe release of their movies. Here is a hero who spent extra from his pocket.

Though general public and other celebs on twitter are able to see only those positive reviews and word of appreciation for “96”, the film’s release became pretty tough. At a time when the producer of this film failed to clear the 4 crores finance, hero Vijay Sethupathi has come forward to clear it off.

Vijay hasn’t just poured money, but he sat at the lab throughout day and night to ensure that the film will be released without any fail. Which hero these days is going to a lab to take care of his film’s release?

Giving a sigh of relief to all these tough moments, the film got acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the leads, 96 is directed by C Prem Kumar.

Jr NTR who is gearing up for Aravinda Sametha has given interviews to the media and here is what he says.

Penimiti song has gone viral. How mentally are you attached to it?

Shockingly, I shot for the song after my dad passed away. After listening to it, I have seen my mother crying. She and I have become stronger mentally after dad has passed away. The situation our family is, we could relate more to the song. My mother is devastated. Not just we, but every man and woman can relate to the song.

Have you personally changed a lot after Aravinda Sametha?

I changed right at that moment when the story was narrated to me. The characters of the film have changed me a lot. It’s a good change and people around me are happy with it.

When is Rajamouli’s film going on floors?

I don’t have any idea. We are still prepping up for it and hopefully, it has go on floors soon. It will definitely be a pan India project and I am excited about it.

What about other projects?

I don’t have anything on mind currently. The Rajamouli’s is already known and there is one with Vyjayanthi Movies, which is said to be with Atlee, but is not confirmed yet. Nothing else is in cards.

Would you like to be part of webseries?

I definitely would like to be if I am offered. I just want to do it to see how it will be. I haven’t been approached by anyone yet. Let’s see if I get any.

Heroine Showcasing The Real Bommarillu

Share

‘Bommarillu’ movie is all about a son not willing to walk in the path crafted by his father and coming out of the cocoon to make the world hear about his own choices. What will it be like if this happens in the real life, that too of a star heroine?

It’s none other than beautiful lady Shruti Haasan who has worked almost all the top stars of Telugu Film Industry in no time including that of Pawan, Mahesh, Charan, NTR and others. While it’s not her father who forced her to become an actress, but here it looks like ‘society’ has forced her to become an actress.

Of late, Shruti kept herself away from the arc lights and is not in a mood to sign any star, no matter how big a film it is. She’s busy writing lyrics for songs, composing music and collaborating with other technicians to release her own album of songs. Who would like to quit their career at the top of the game, if not Shruti? That is reminding many of Bommarillu movie and guess what, the hero in that film is none other than Shruti’s former boyfriend.

Shruti is now collaborating with popular indie-electronic music creator Nucleya and writing-singing a song for his upcoming album. She will be giving some live music performances in London as well, very soon.

Why Did Mehreen Agree to do NOTA?

Share

Mehreen has featured in several movies in Telugu in the recent times that include “Raja The Great” and “Mahanubhavudu”.At present, she is one of the few actresses that are busy in Tollywood despite not-so-great acting talents. But everyone is wondering how did she agree to be part of NOTA in which she appears exactly in five scenes.

Her role is designed in a way that any budding junior artiste could have done. It would have made no difference even a small time actress did the role.It is so inconsequential character. There are no romantic scenes with Vijay Deverakonda either. No song was shot on her. Sanchana Natarajan got meaty role than her.

Why did she agree to do this role? To act with hot and happening Vijay Deverakonda or just for the sake of good money? Or her role was chopped off?

EC today to announce election dates for Telangana

Share

The Election Commission (EC) is set to announce Saturday the poll schedules for Madhya Pradesh,Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram, the elections that are expected to set the tone for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.Except Mizoram, which is ruled by the Congress, all the other states are ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The model code of conduct, a set of guidelines laid down by the election commission to govern the conduct of political parties and candidates in the run-up to an election, will kick in with the announcement.Poll dates for Telangana assembly, which was dissolved by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in September, may also be announced today. The Congress and the TDP have already announced a tie-up in the state

Parties have already started talks for poll alliances and for finalising candidates. BSP chief Mayawati recently announced her decision to align with Congress rebel Ajit Jogi’s Janta Congress in Chhattisgarh, setting the stage for a triangular contest in the state after her talks with the Congress on seat-sharing appeared to have collapsed.

Mayawati also named 22 candidates for neighbouring Madhya Pradesh, where too her party has been in talks with the Congress, but they have been unable to agree on seat sharing.

Top political leaders have been criss-crossing the poll-bound states addressing rallies and holding party meetings. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing a rally in Bikaner and Congress president Rahul Gandhi is in Rajasthan on October 9 and 10.

Unemployment lowest in US since 1969

Share

New York: The unemployment rate in the US fell to 3.7 per cent in September, the lowest since December 1969, when hundreds of thousands of working-age Americans were serving in Vietnam, according to a new report by the Labour Department.

The report, which was released on Friday, said that the American economy was humming with the GDP on pace for its best year since the housing the mid-2000s, reports The New York Times.Consumers and businesses were the most confident they have been in years with stock market indexes near record highs, it added.

Teenagers, less-educated workers and disabled Americans have also made progress in recent months and anecdotal reports suggest that companies were becoming more willing to hire people with criminal records or to waive drug-testing requirements.

But, the unemployment rates for African-Americans and Hispanics were both near all-time lows, the report said.Republicans are hoping the strong economy will help them hold off a potential “blue wave” of Democratic victories in next month’s midterm elections.Friday’s report was one of the last before Election Day, and President Donald Trump hailed the news on Twitter.

“Just out: 3.7 per cent Unemployment is the lowest number since 1969,” he tweeted.Andrew Chamberlain, chief economist at the career site Glassdoor, views the development “as the strongest labour market in a generation”.

“These really are the good times.”
