Sridevi’s daughter Jahnvi Kapoor made terrific debut with “Dhadak”.The film has been declared as a hit by the Trade as the film received Rs 43 Cr in its five days in India and is set to cross Rs 50 Cr mark by this weekend.This is a huge amount for a newcomer’s movie.Seeing the craze that Jahnvi has got, Tollywood producers are now queuing up to Boney Kapoor.

Jahnvi’s father Boney Kapoor has strong relations with some Tollywood biggies like Suresh Babu, Ashwini Dutt and Allu Aravind.Ashwini Dutt wants to introduce Jahnvi to Telugu audiences.Her first film in Telugu will definitely get the same craze and hype that her debut Bollywood film got.So everyone wants to cash this in on. However, in her interviews, Jahnvi made it clear that she has no plans to debut in South movies at this moment.

She wants to establish herself as a big actress in Bollywood though her mother Sridevi had done numerous movies in Tollywood and Kollywood.

One of the most ambitious high budgeted films that are going to enthral Telugu cinema lovers after “Baahubali” is none other than “Sye Raa”. Featuring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the role of earliest known freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the film is bankrolled by Ram Charan.

While Charan is getting himself busy with his own films, somehow costs of the project are getting escalated. Say it due to the presence of many big stars and Hollywood technicians or due to Surender Reddy taking extra time to carve some scenes, or due to rains halting the shooting, investment over Sye Raa is said to be growing big.

To keep a tab on this budget, now Ram Charan got Chiranjeevi’s admirer NV Prasad as a partner in crime, who happens to be a popular distributor, producers and investor from Ceeded area. He made movies like Rachha earlier with Charan and will be now taking care of Sye Raa production. Maybe he will pouring some money as well, says a source.

However, there is budget worry for Sye Raa because apart from Ram Charan, they have Lyca Productions as well backing the project.

From a time there is a debate going on Film Nagar as to who is playing the ‘gay role’ in Nartanasala. After few rumours did rounds, it’s said that actor Ajay will be seen as a gay while Naga Shourya is the hero. Here comes a stunner.

Actually “Nartanashala” story is about Arjuna turning into a transgender, acting incognito, in the Matsya kingdom of Virat, where they spend their 13th year in ‘agnyathavasm’ after 12 years of ‘vanavasam’. If we have to go by that story, then lead actor Naga Shourya should pretend like a transgender now.

Cut to some sources, we hear that Nartanasala is about two friend, Shourya and Ajay, pretending to be gays and finding shelter at a dance studio run by a lady. Does that ring any bell? The story is pretty close to Hindi film “Dostana” where Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham lie to Priyanka Chopra that they are gays, in order to woo her.

Directed by Krishna Vamsi’s erstwhile assistant Srinivas Chakravarthy, the film is already on the floors and shooting is going in picturesque locales of Italy. Let’s see how it shapes to be anyway.

Miryala Ravinder Reddy, the young producer is unlucky guy. He has been putting in money in projects that have craze but he is only getting losses from them. He began his career with Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo’.

He invested in the movie as it was the second film in the combination of Naga Chaitanya and director Gautam Menon after the blockbuster ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ and later he produced ‘Jaya Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ as it was Boyapati’s movie. Both the movies brought him huge losses.

Now, he put in money in Karthi’s ‘Chinnababu’. Since Karthi recently delivered a hit with ‘Khakee’, he felt it would bring him luck. Though the film is running well in Tamilnadu, the Telugu version has ended up as a flop.Miryala Ravinder Reddy burnt fingers with his bad calculations and lost money on all three projects.He is now demanding Boyapati to do another film as the director promised to do a movie for him to compensate the losses of ‘Jaya Jaya Janaki Nayaka’.

The theatrical release date of ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ is confirmed on December 21st. Starring Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, Hanu Raghavapudi is directing the movie.Very recently the film has wrapped up a long schedule in Kolkata and a still of the lead pair is also released on the conclusion. The last schedule is slated in Nepal and with that the shoot will come to an end.

Director Hanu is known for poetic love stories and we can expect a cool breeze entertainer for Christmas.The first look of both, Sharwanad and Sai Pallavi have garnered good response and their pair looked fresh and appealing. Sunil and Murali Sharma are playing supporting roles.

Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing music for ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ and is being produced by Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas banner.

The shoot of Mahesh Babu’s 25th film is progressing at rapid pace. The movie recently completed its shoot in Dehradun and will it head to USA and Europe shortly.The latest buzz is that the film is partly inspired by Aamir Khan’s blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’. However, it is neither remake nor is it a completely copy.

Buzz says that Mahesh Babu’s characterisation is similar to that of Aamir Khan’s in the movie.In ‘3 Idiots’, Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi had played three friends. In this film, Mahesh Babu and Allari Naresh are playing two friends.

However, this film is said to be dealing with more serious issues like farmers’ crisis and village development, etc. It is nothing to do with our educational system.Director Vamshi Paidipally earlier bought the remake rights of a French movie and directed a beautiful movie in Telugu ‘Oopiri’ with Nagarjuna and Karthi.

If he really wanted to make it based on ‘3 Idiots’, he would have bought the rights, a source says denying this speculation.

But some elements are inspired by this Bollywood flick, say close sources.

Multiple delays in the shoot have turned out to be a headache for the makers of Savyasachi.The film starring Naga Chaitanya and directed by Chandoo Mondeti was supposed to be out in summer, but the filming is not complete yet. A two weeks schedule will kick off soon, which should wrap the filming.

Mythri Movie Makers wanted to release Savyasachi in August last week to avoid the rush in September.However, Naga Chaitanya’s finished product Sailaja Reddy Alludu has been scheduled for release on August 31.Savyasachi makers want to release their product first as it started many months prior to Sailaja Reddy Alludu.

Clash between the films looked inevitable at a point that Nagarjuna had to step into solve the issue.The latest we hear is that Naga Chaitanya suggested the makers of Savyasachi to not to hurry and compromise on the quality. He suggested them to take some time and release the film on a favorable date than wrapping up it in a hurry.

Both Chay and Nagarjuna have immense confidence in Savyasachi to work at box office. As per latest developments, Savyasachi may target Sep 28 release.
