Actor Preity Zinta, who is married to Gene Goodenough and divides her time between America and India, shared a picture with a message on her social media wishing all on the occasion of American Independence Day (July 4) from her “home away from home”.

In the picture, we can see Preity posing with a friend as she flashes a victory sign.Preity is wearing a dress which has a bikini printed on it which she cheekily mentions as “new American bikini”.The said bikini has the colours (Star Spangled banner) of American national flag on it.Preity may be living in the US, post her marriage to Gene but is certainly clued into everything that is happening back home.

Tollywood filmmakers take inspiration from Korean movies and other language films and customize the themes according to our sensibilities.Now, three films are being made which are all said to be inspired from the same source.

One is Jersey, the Nani-Gowtham (Malli Raava fame) film which has cricket as the backdrop and this fact has already been acknowledged by the makers.The other two are Naga Chaitanya-Shiva Nirvana’s film and Vijay Devarakonda-Bharat Kamma’s Dear Comrade.

While Nani’s apparently has a flashback episode with a cricket backdrop, Dear Comrade is also said to have a cricketing touch to it.Given the similarity of the backdrop, the film which releases earlier will have the advantage which can well be Dear Comrade as Naga Chaithanya’s film will go on floors on August 1 whereas Nani’s film will take some time.

When asked why he is not experimenting in stories and embracing new age cinema,

Gopichand replied that he indeed loves the movies that are being made by today’s young filmmakers. I love to do fresh stories but he laments that none are approaching him with such stories.Gopichand must be thinking that this answer would make people believe him. If he really loves to experiment, he should call any new age movie makers and initiate bankrolling these projects.

He is working with new directors occasionally but he is deliberately picking masala movies and blames that no one is approaching him with new scripts.
