Janasena President Pawan Kalyan took a temporary break from his Porata Yatra and is spending some quality time with his family. Throughout his tour, Pawan constantly targeted Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu on various issues.

This morning, Pawan took to Twitter and quoted British historian and politician Lord Macaulay’s piece on  ‘theory of exploitation of resources through destruction of nativity & indigenous culture’. Pawan said that the exploitation is still in practice but by our own native political elites. Pawan went on to say that he had experienced it throughout his tour in Uttarandhra.

Pawan also said that he could see a tremendous “soul force” in the Land of UttaraAndhra, which reminded him of the fighting spirit of Veera Telangana. Pawan’s tweets made everyone wonder if he is hinting at a separate Uttarandhra statehood movement.

For the last few months, Pawan has been frantically trying to find some issues to turn them into his campaign tools. His lackluster efforts in fighting for special status yielded not much result. It remains to be seen if he will eye the Uttarandhra statehood movement.

Other day writer-actor Posani Krishnamurali has taken to a special press meet to blast Chandrababu Naidu and gave many pieces of advice to others. Involving his own Kamma community, he made some interesting remarks. What has social media to say about them?

“I’ll give my daughter to a Kamma guy, but only to a Kamma bridegroom with good habits, good job and good money, good education. I won’t give my daughter to any Kamma boy. Similarly, vote for a good politician with a character, but not to a guy like Chandrababu thinking that he’s from your caste” added Posani. Is this ideology correct anyway?

“When caste system in itself is a wrong thing and whole of educated India is trying to blur the lines, advising the ideas like good Kamma and bad Kamma is the worst thing to do” opined many on the social media. They say that a celebrity like Posani should make healthy remarks and shouldn’t himself limit to speaking crass things.

An FB user pointed: “Despite being Kammas, many celebs like Manchu kids, Jagapathi Babu’s daughter, Ashwini Dutt’s Daughters, Raghavendra Rao’s son and others married people outside from their community. If someone has guts, they need to talk about that. But thinking that Kammas are always voting for Kammas is a foolish thing on Posani’s part. Like all other castes people, Kammas are there in TDP, YSR C, Congress and former PRP also”.

Looks like Posani has a major foot in mouth moment other day with his community based remarks.

Hours after BJP patriarch and three-time Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee hospitalized, great tension prevailed among party leaders, workers and his die-hard fans. Amidst this, AIIMS doctors team has released a health bulletin released on Monday late night in which it stated that the veteran politician was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and BJP sources confirmed that he is put on dialysis.

Appropriate treatment is being administered to Mr. AB Vajpayee ji under the supervision of a team of doctors, it added. AIIMS doctors and BJP leaders are confident on the quick recovery of Vajpayee.

Earlier, the hospital had said 93-year-old Vajpayee, who had not been keeping well for long, was admitted for routine check-ups and investigations and that his condition was stable.

PM Narendra Modi, who visited the hospital, met the doctors and enquired about Vajpayee. He also met Vajpayee’s family members. The prime minister spent nearly 50 minutes at the hospital.

BJP veteran LK Advani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, party chief Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda, Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan and Congress president Rahul Gandhi were among those who paid a visit to the ailing leader.

Vajpayee was thrice elected the prime minister between 1996 and 1999 and is the only non-Congress prime minister to complete the full term of five years, from 1999 to 2004. As his health deteriorated, he had slowly withdrawn himself from public life and was confined to his residence for years.

Ending a long wait, finally, the two world leaders and once dead-against have finally met and shook hands in Singapore’s Sentosa Island. The US President Donald Trump and North Korea president Kim Jong-un have met on Tuesday and welcomed the beginning of a “terrific relationship”, a momentous step in an improbable courtship that has opened a new era for the worlds largest nuclear power and the most reclusive one.

In a carefully choreographed encounter, Trump and Kim strode towards each other, arms extended, in the red-carpeted reception area of the grand Capella Hotel, in Singapore’s Sentosa Island.

This is the first time a sitting American President and North Korean leader have ever met. The two leaders then shared a 12-second handshake in the courtyard of the British-colonial style hotel against a backdrop of American and North Korean flags.

Posing for photographs, Trump put his hand on the younger man’s shoulder. Then the two, alone except for their interpreters, walked off to meet privately in an attempt to resolve the crisis over North Korea’s nuclear programme.
“I feel really great,” Trump said.

“It’s gonna be a great discussion and I think tremendous success. I think it’s gonna be really successful and I think we will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt.”
Kim spoke in Korean, saying that “the old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward, but we’ve overcome all of them, and we are here today”.

The goal of the summit was to ratify the outlines of a joint statement, to be released before the two men left Singapore later on Tuesday, that laid out a framework for additional talks.

After their one-on-one meeting which lasted for about 45 minutes, the two leaders were joined by senior aides for an expanded bilateral meeting and working lunch.
Asked how the earlier discussion went, Trump said: “Very, very good.”

On the US side, Trump’s team included Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, National Security Adviser John Bolton, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and US Ambassador to the Philippines Sung Kim.

The North Korean delegation included Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, Vice-Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui and Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Yong Chol.
