Allu Sirish is all set to begin shooting for ABCD, the official remake of Dulquer Salmaan’s 2013 Malayalam hit of the same title, from next week. In the film, Sirish will essay the role of an arrogant NRI who comes to India.This evening, Sirish tweeted saying that he will reveal the name of a ‘Master’ entertainer who will be playing his best friend in ABCD tomorrow. Soon, his followers started speculating several names.

But we have come to know from our close sources that it’s none other than Master Bharath who’s going to act alongside Sirish. Master Bharath is popular among Telugu audiences for his rib-tickling, cute dialogue delivery in several hit films like Pokiri, Ready and Dookudu etc.

Sanjeev Reddy will direct ABCD and Yash Rangineni and Madhura Sreedhar will bankroll the movie together.

Although it saw good growth in collections on Friday and Saturday, Rajinikanth’s “Kaala” has not brought smiles to its US distributor.The film’s first weekend (four days + premiere) gross stands at $1.55 million, which is too low amount for a Rajini movie.Rajinikanth’s “Kabaali” grossed more than $4 million in its first weekend setting box-office on fire and its premiere gross was $1.9 million.

The producer said ok and approached the heroine.

While she quoted Rs 50 lakh as remuneration, the producer was willing to pay only Rs 20 lakh which he believed to be correct for her market. This problem got solved in an interesting way.The director agreed to slash his remuneration by Rs 10 lakh and that 10 lakh was offered to the heroine who agreed to do the film for Rs 30 lakh.

Thus, the director ants her so badly that he is even willing to cut down on his remuneration to have her on board.

Young director Venky Atluri who made a successful debut in Tollywood with the Varun Tej-Raashi Khanna starrer Tholi Prema will be directing Akhil Akkineni in his next.Tholi Prema was a classy film which did decent business at the box-office and gave Varun Tej, his second hit after Fidaa.

The film with Akhil Akkineni will also be shot in London like Tholi Prema.Incidentally, following the success of Tholi Prema, Venky Atluri left for a vacation to Thailand and buzz in the industry is that he is getting paid Rs 1.5 crore for his film with Akhil.

Not a bad remuneration at all for just his second film but then, when you consider that the cost of production has skyrocketed in recent times and the Rajamouli-Ram Charan film being made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, Rs 1.5 crore seems to be a fair price.
