Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ has been postponed to next year leaving all the distributors worried.

The film was to release this summer, but was postponed to August/ Deepavali. But latest reports say it has further been pushed to summer of 2019.

Several distributors who bought the film for many areas and paid huge amounts in advance have started calling the producers to return their money.

Their argument is that they will not be getting any profit if the film continues to get postponed since the interest on the advance amount will be mounting.

Although the producers cite the reason for the delay as the graphics taking time, the distributors suspect finances must be the reason.

It is rumoured that the makers have run out of money to invest on this project. They have already put in huge money. They are reportedly trying hard to adjust money further for the VFX.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu gave her Instafam the best possible Sunday treat. She shared a video, which has glimpses of her and Naga Chaitanya’s wedding, which took place in Goa in October 2017.

The video has several BTS moments of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s fairy tale wedding.

Like in any other wedding, there were glitches – like when the groom couldn’t find his tie before the wedding and Samantha’s bridesmaid were nowhere to be found. But they laughed and smiled and eventually everything went smoothly.

The video has snippets from what appears to be a sangeet function where Samantha danced her heart out. It also shows how the bride and groom tackled their nervousness and smiled away.

Blockbuster movie ‘Mahanati’ is the biopic of yesteryear screen goddess Savithri. Keerthy Suresh amazingly portrayed the role of Savithri while her husband superstar Gemini Ganesan’s character was essayed by Malayali heartthrob Dulquer Salman.

The movie directed by Nag Ashwin continues its dream run at the box office, earning positive reviews from both viewers and critics alike.

While critics hail Keerthy’s performance in ‘Mahanati’ as her career best, Dulquer Salman too has won many hearts in the Telugu industry.

Many scenes were deleted from the final cut owing to the length of the feature film. Now the crew has released one such scene which is grabbing the attention of the movie lovers on social media.

Gemini Ganesan was already having an affair with an actress called Pushpavalli when he fell in love with Savithri.

The screen icon even had kids with Pushpavalli. Actress Rekha, the glamorous diva who conquered Bollywood with her dreamy eyes and charming smile, is the daughter of Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli.

The makers have released the dropped scene in ‘Mahanati’ where child Rekha is introduced as Ganesan’s daughter.

Actress Priyanka Chopra has apologised for an episode in her American TV series “Quantico” which portrayed Indian nationalists as terrorists who were trying to frame Pakistan in a terror plot.

In the episode, Priyanka, who plays Alex Parrish, is an anti-terrorist officer who plots a nuclear attack in Manhattan to frame Pakistan for it, just days before an India-Pakistan summit is to be held. The episode drew intense criticism from Indian fans.

“I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of ‘Quantico’. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I’m a proud Indian and that will never change,” Priyanka tweeted on Sunday.

According to reports, the episode titled “The Blood of Romeo”, aired on June 1. Priyanka’s character, FBI agent Alex Parrish, thwarts a terror plot just days before a summit between India and Pakistan is to be held.

During her investigations, Parrish finds a religious Hindu symbol — a Rudraksh chain — on the neck of one of the suspects leading her to conclude that the plot was devised by Indian nationalists to frame Pakistan in a nuclear terror attack.

The producers at the US network ABC Studios that airs the show also extended an apology on Saturday, saying they regret stepping into “a complex political issue”, and they did not intend to offend anyone.

The statement read: “ABC Studios and the executive producers of ‘Quantico’ would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, ‘The Blood of Romeo’. The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it.

“She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.”

They also stressed that “Quantico” is a work of fiction.

“The show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds but in this case, we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue. It was certainly not our intention to offend anyone,” the statement read further.

“Quantico” will not be getting a fourth season. The third season is on air in India on Star World.

The cast also included Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, Alan Powell, Marlee Matlin and Blair Underwood.
