‘2 States’ is the novel which is loosely based on the real-life love story of author Chetan Bhagat and his wife Anusha. It became one of the top-selling novels of the author in India. Bollywood director Abhishek Varman made a movie based on this novel with the same title.

Featuring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the movie scored record-breaking collections on opening day and stood as a super hit. Now, the same movie is going to be remade in Telugu. Director Venkat Reddy who is a disciple of acclaimed filmmaker V.V.Vinayak is going to carve this romantic drama. While Adivi Sesh is the hero, senior Telugu hero Rajasekhar’s daughter will make her debut as a heroine.

There comes an interesting question now. In the Hindi version of 2 states movie, the lead pair had almost eight passionate lip-locks on the screen. Will Shivani agree to do such intense lip-kissing scenes on silver screen with her debut film As heroines who have a family background fear to do bold scenes on-screen in the initial days of their career, it would be a surprise if Shivani can enact such?

Reports are coming that Shivani signed the dotted line only after it got clarified from the makers that there are no such lip locks in the film. Let’s see.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s latest release Agnyaathavaasi which came out with high expectations utterly failed to impress the audience and became a disaster at the box office. And other day Pawan clarified that films are already out of his mind. So, the only confusion that has been eating up the minds of film industry people, what will happen to those films Pawan agreed already.

In the recent times, Pawan Kalyan recently heard a script from director Santosh Srinivas which impressed him a lot. On the other hand, producer AM Ratnam announced that he will do a movie with Powerstar and a Kollywood director is likely to helm that project. Another story claimed that choreographer Jani master also met with Pawan with an interesting script. All these rumours have started worry Pawan’s fans more.

Though Pawan has put an end of those in just one go other day, there is another side to it, say insiders. Even though Pawan won’t act in those mentioned films there are good chances that he will at least produce them. On his banner PK Creative Works, the Janasena President wants to come up with two films every year.

With a new team being formed by PK to take care of these production ventures, one could understand that soon he will turn many projects into reality as a producer. Maybe he will act in a guest role in them. What say, folks??

Director Trivikram is well known for his entertaining scripts all the time. He is often called as the ‘Wizard of the words’  for his punchlines that talk philosophy of life. But his latest release Agnyaathavaasi which became a disaster at the box office dented his image. Disappointed with the way he carved it, everyone started questioning his skills.

Reports are coming that even Trivkram felt sad about the result. As per the talk, he found fault with the team for not giving him the right feedback regarding the story and scenes. Vexed Trivikram is planning to change his team and hire some aspiring youth for his new team. For that reason, he’s said to have sacked three associate directors and will work with a new team for Jr NTR’s film.

No doubt, Trivikram is planning out each and everything carefully so that nothing goes wrong in his upcoming film. But sacking the team for the sake of a subject written by him is little foolish, in case if this rumour is true. Naturally, any guy feels that whatever the decision was taken by Trivikram is correct, going by his past track record. So there is no point in blaming the team.

Anyway, shooting of NTR-Trivikram movie is much-likely to go on sets from March or April. The film is going to be a romantic drama which features family emotions. Hope the director will make a point that he is back into form with this new venture.

In what could be a super surprise to film lovers, the Oscar Nominations that were announced a while ago have stunned everyone as director Guillermo del Toro’s fantasy romance “The Shape Of Water” got 13 nominations.

Including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor Supporting Role, Best Actress Supporting Role, Cinematography, Costume Design, Editing, Sound Design, Music, Sound Mixing and Best Original Screenplay, the film went to standing by many other iconic films that got 13 nominations. We have to see if it will also win Most Oscars on March 4th as the Academy Awards get concluded that day.

Meryl Streep’s best actress nomination for media drama The Post is her 17th for best actress and her 21st if we include other categories.

Many expected that ‘The Post’ will get yet another nomination for Steven Spielberg under “Best Director” category while Tom Hanks will get “Best Actor” nomination. But they didn’t get them, quite shockingly. The same film’s actress Meryl Streep got “Best Actress” and The Post itself got nominated for “Best Picture”.

Young Malayali beauty Anu Emmanuel might soon get the ‘Mega family’ heroine tag if she has not earned it already by acting opposite Pawan Kalyan in ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ and Allu Arjun in ‘Nee Peru Surya’.

Going by the latest reports, Anu is in talks for her third film starring a Mega family hero. Its for Sai Dharam Tej’s new film to be directed by Gopichand Malineni. The makers are considering other options too but Anu is the top contender to bag the female lead role.

The beautiful actress has earlier narrowly missed the opportunity to pair with Ram Charan in Boyapati’s film. But, to her delight, she has received another Mega family film in no time. Tej-Malineni film will go on floors after the young hero completes Karunakaran’s love story.

Meanwhile, Anu has bagged Chairu-Maruthi film and is in talks for a couple of biggies.
