Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been forced to stop the shooting of his new film, ‘Race 3’ in Mumbai after he received death threats.

The other day, several policemen landed directly on the sets of ‘Race 3’ with the information that some armed gangsters were on their way to the Film City to kill the ‘Sultan’ star. The policemen stopped the shooting immediately and escorted Salman to his house amidst tight security. Reportedly, Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan confirmed that his son had received death threats from a gangster based in Rajasthan.

The gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, had threatened last week that he would kill Salman in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, when the actor went there to appear in the court in connection with the Black Buck poaching case. Taking his warning seriously, the Rajasthan police provided tight security to Salman until he left Jodhpur.

Now, claiming that they have information on Rajasthan gangsters coming to Mumbai to kill Salman, the Mumbai police rushed to the actor’s movie sets, escorted him to his house and advised him to stay home for a couple of days.

Every film lover will have their own interpretation and perception when it comes to a film being hit or flop at the box office. And then we have Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi, which looked like a copy of French film Largo Winch. Here is an interesting snippet about it.

Yes, if we look carefully, the central theme of Jr NTR and Boyapati Sreenu’s “Dammu” movie also has the same story. While Largo Winch and Agnyaathavaasi deal with saving a business empire, here the hero’s hiding game has something to do with pride and prestige of a family and a village. For that reason, some movie lovers are now saying that Pawan’s film is lifted from Dammu itself.

Anyway, if we could construct a hypothetical conclusion, while Largo Winch came in 2008, Dammu was made in 2011 and Agnyaathavaasi in 2018. So we may say that even Dammu is lifted from Largo Winch only. Trivia is that, all these films are not commercially viable projects.

No one except diehard fans of Balakrishna took Jai Simha seriously until Agnyaathavaasi bombed at the box office.With Agnyathavasi failing miserably, focus is now shifted to Balakrishna’s mass masala Jai Simha directed by KS Ravi Kumar.

Nothing about the film has excited cinephiles, but we can never underestimate the mass power of Balakrishna.When Mrugaraju and Narasimhanaidu clashed at the box office, not many believed Balakrishna’s film to conquer the throne and Chiranjeevi’s film to bite the dust.

Agnyaathavaasi stole all the limelight away from other Sankranthi films until its result was out. Can Balakrishna pull off a blockbuster like Narasimhanaidu with Jai Simha?The film needs to collect somewhere around Rs. 30 crore to be termed as a hit. A very easy target compared to recent biggies.

Along with Jai Simha, Suriya’s Gang also is releasing today. Suriya has been struggling to live up to expectations lately. This film is crucial for him as his graph has been going downwards from a long time.

Both the films are releasing in decent number of theaters and luckily Agnyaathavaasi is no longer a threat to them.Let us see who among these two heroes offers the right kind of entertainment for this festive season.

Sankranthi is one of the best seasons for movie lovers as they will get many holidays to celebrate with family and get entertained in theatres as well. That’s the reason many big stars banks on this season to rake in the moolah at the box office.

Many other films are also in this race, but surprisingly there is no buzz about Mahesh’s upcoming film being directed by Koratala Siva.

When other summer releases like Rangasthalam, Naa Peru Surya, 2 Point O and Mahanati got their first looks already released, Mahesh’s Bharat Anu Nenu hasn’t come up with any New Year treat or Sankranthi treat. And reports are coming that, there will no treat at least in January. Pch!!

Keerthy Suresh hoped to have double dhamaka this Sankranthi as two of her big movies are in the box-office fray. One is ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ in Telugu and the other is ‘TSK’ aka ‘Gang’ in Tamil.

However, director Vignesh Sivan says he changed the original Hindi movie and fleshed out Keerthy’s character. So, will she get at least one hit this Pongal?

While many leading stars are happy to lend their face to fairness creams, social responsibility be damned, Sushant Singh Rajput has decided to steer clear of such commercials.

Turns out, the actor recently rejected a fairness cream endorsement deal for which he was apparently being offered a fee of Rs 15 crore.

A source says, “Sushant doesn’t believe in endorsing such products. So despite it being a lucrative offer, he immediately turned it down. He feels that he needs to be responsible about the kind of products he lends his face to, as several people look up to him.”

The three-year-long deal apparently required Rajput to shoot for six commercials, which would follow the trope of the fairness cream helping an underdog elevate his social standing.

“As responsible actors, it is our duty to not indulge in sending out incorrect messages. We should not, in any way, endorse or promote the ideology of preferring one skin tone over another.”

Big heroes turning up in short films is a rarity in Telugu Film Industry. Recently Allu Arjun has come up with his own short film ‘I Am The Change’ to create awareness in the society about being responsible. And now Jr NTR and Vijay Devarakonda are likely to join this brigade.

Roping in celebs like Jr NTR, Vijay and none other than Baahubali director Rajamouli, Hyderabad Police are coming up with some unique short films. In the part of a campaign against crimes, these short films are aimed at bringing awareness to Hyderabad city’s citizens.

Till date five films are made with these three celebs each in one film and also the Censor Board certified them too. These films deal with issues like OTP fraud, social media harassments, job frauds, multi-level marketing and matrimonial fraud. It is heard that very soon Telangana government will release them officially.

So, celebs coming up to create awareness of crimes is a good thing, and police say, ‘we have picked those celebs who have no criminal records’.
