Trailer Talk: MI6 – Breathtaking Stunts
The second trailer for the upcoming Hollywood biggie ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ is out recently and it instantly wows with its breathtaking action sequences. Fallout is the sixth edition of the superhit action movie franchise Mission: Impossible and Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt yet again.
Fallout’s trailer is all about Tom Cruise going rogue and his nerve-wracking stunts (he also broke his ankle while performing a daredevil stunt) apart from the quintessential espionage drama that prominently features in all MI movies. The skydiving stunt in the trailer has left the franchise lovers in awe.
As the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie mentioned in one of the interviews, Fallout’s plot is mostly about Ethan Hunt’s past decisions coming back to haunt him. Ethan Hunt’s mission is to capture Solomon Lane even as he is hunted by August Walker.
Misson: Impossible – Fallout is gearing up for release on July 27 in North America. The date for this Paramount Pictures distribution venture’s Indian release is yet to be announced.
Fight At Mahanati Theatre: Hari Teja Breaks Into Tears
How much privacy do celebrities will have in public? This is the question being asked time and again. Because if heroines come to shop openings they get molested by frenzy crowds and if they go to theatres, people pass lewd comments at them.
Other day when A..Aa and Big Boss show fame Hari Teja went to a theatre to catch the latest blockbuster ‘Mahanati’, it’s heard that she got insulted big time by a co-viewer that too a woman.
“We, including my mom, dad and sister went to Mahanati theatre to catch the film. And suddenly we thought of readjusting our seats and asked our dad to sit at the far end while my sister is sitting there till then. But when my dad is about to sit there, the woman in the adjacent seat started abusing us. She said, ‘My daughter will not be comfortable if your dad sits here. We’re not cinema people like you to sit beside males and enjoy’. How ruthless and cheap that is?” said Hari Teja breaking down into tears.
Recalling the incident, she’s into tears all over and stated that those people working in movies are also normal persons like anyone and it’s not fair to insult them with such cheap comments. “If you buy a ticket with 100 rupees that doesn’t mean you have right over all the artists” she adds.
While the cynical mindset of these common people could be understood, some say that Hariteja should have purchased two extra seats showcasing her celebrity range and leaving the space on either end to her family.
Uday Kiran Biopic: Rumour? Or Dropped?
From the last two days, there is news of Uday Kiran’s biopic doing rounds everywhere. Also, some sources confirmed about the possible casting of the film too. But director Teja has now claimed that everything is just a figment of imagination.
When contacted to talk about this rumoured biopic, talented filmmaker Teja feigned ignorance and expressed anguish as to how such rumours emerge in the first place. “I don’t how it started, but I have no such plans of making any movie on the story of Uday Kiran. I have not even thought about it. My next film is a regular commercial masala movie with loads of action” said Teja, while speaking with a leading media house.
Teja also condemned that any title he has registered in the recent times is regarding some other films but not any biopic. Though he refused to talk about his exit from NTR’s biopic, he has confirmed that there is no interest for him to do any other biopics.
But how come such ‘smoke’ erupted about this project when there is no ‘fire’ at all. Some say that Teja has got excited about the idea of making a biopic on Uday Kiran, but the pressures from some industry bigwigs have made him go back from the project, dropping the whole idea. Only Teja knows the truth about this.
And few feel that it’s too early for a biopic to be made on an actor like Uday Kiran and in the current scenario it looks only like a cashing game.
Nayantara’s BF Thanks For The Right Song
From the last couple of days, the song Kalyaana Vayasu from Nayanatara’s upcoming film Kolamaavu Kokila (CoCo) is taking the internet by a storm. Composed by Anirudh, the song is written by hero Sivakarthikeyan. Not just the song, but the visual montages featuring comedian Yogi Babu and the top heroine of South is just mind-blowing.
Guess what, now Nayantara’s real-life boyfriend, director and lyricist Vignesh Shivan has taken to his social media page to talk about this song. Sharing a picture of Nayantara and him, he wrote, “Naekku #kalyaanavayasu dhaan vandhuduthu dee #wait pannavaa #kolamaavukokila #nayanthara thank u for the right song my dear brothers Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan”. And now netizens are busy discussing his comment.
The song’s lyrics mean that he is waiting to get married as the right age has come and with Vignesh calling this is a ‘right’ song at the right time, people are speculating that he’s hinting about marriage. After the marriage of Samantha, are we going to witness another star heroine’s wedding now?
For now, Nayan is busy wrapping a couple of big films including Ajith’s next that was shot in Hyderabad till yesterday and now moved to Mumbai.
Writer-Director Clarifies On Suicide Rumours
It was a shocking news other day to hear that writer and director Rajasimha of “Okka Ammayi Tappi” and “Rudramadevi” fame has attempted suicide at his stay in Mumbai. Though none knows what happened, speculations did rounds that he has taken an overdose of sleeping pills to give up this life fearing lack of work.
Taking to his social media page, writer Rajasimha clarified over what has happened. Though he hasn’t touched the suicide angle of the stories doing rounds, he stated that chronic health issue led to his unconsciousness. “I’m actually a diabetic patient. Last night when I didn’t take medicines, I’ve slipped into unconsciousness. It has become a big news as no one is around me. I’m hale and healthy now” said Rajasimha.
He further added that after coming back to Hyderabad in next couple of days he will throw more light on what has happened. Though Rajasimha didn’t make it clear, it looks like he hasn’t taken the extreme step of taking his life. However, the fact remains to be explained that why many talented writers and directors are ending up workless in the recent times.
Meanwhile, a movie camp in Hyderabad is said to have shocked with Rajasimha’s suicide rumours and they have sent a message to the director to meet them immediately after coming to Hyderabad. Looks like they will be giving him an offer soon.
Trivikram’s Surprise Tomorrow ?
Director Trivikram is not being seen anywhere in the film events that happened in the last few months. They say that the flop show of Agnyaathavasi has hit him hard and that is the reason he’s not facing cinema lovers at events. But he has started his next film with Jr NTR in a swift time.
Into its second schedule already, #NTR28 is being carved by Trivikram at jet speed, they say. However, the director is mending one of his old habit where he loves to release first look and title of his movies only after he wraps the shoot. Just weeks before release, we come to know about titles like “A..Aa” and “Agnyaathavasi”. But now, Trivikram is deleting that ‘waiting’ option from his diary.
Rather making NTR’s fans to wait until October as the film is set for Dasara release, Trivikram will be sharing the title and First Look tomorrow. On the eve of Jr NTR’s birthday on May 20th, the first look of this movie is being released on 19th evening along with the title. That’s a first of its kind from Trivikram for sure.
As per rumours doing rounds, “Asamanyudu” is the title of this film but they say that there is another title that is picked by Trivikram and his team. Whatever it may be, the secret will be out in two more days. Get ready folks.
Why Purandeshwari Was Ignored By BJP?
Much to the surprise of many and shock of some Mr Kanna Lakshmi Narayana was elected as the Chief of AP BJP a few days back. While some say it’s a wise decision keeping the community based voters in point of view, others say that BJP ignored a bigger better choice for this position.
Experts opine that had Purandeshwari was given the position, there would have been a better attention from all corners. Purandeshwari is well known in entire nation as the daughter of Late NTR and that would have certainly attracted the eye balls of national media as well. Positioning a woman in such powerful position also would have made sense. She would also had got a better opportunity to prove her mettle to her party. She is capable of holding that responsibility as well, as many say. But why she was ignored is the big question.
Inside sources say that she was first approached by the BJP top heads, but she denied the proposal quoting some personal reasons and only then the buck was passed on to Kanna Lakshmi Narayana.
NPS: Flop Here, Hit There!
Allu Arjun might have undergone rigorous workout and hard work for the role of army soldier Surya in his patriotic drama Naa Peru Surya. While the film bombed in Telugu big time, all his efforts are not gone waste as at least, the film said to have got reasonably good reception in Malayalam and Tamil. Apparently the film did decently well in Malayalam and Tamil versions.
According to the film’s unit, the Mayalam version – Ente Peeru Surya Ente Veedu India – said to have grossed Rs 5 Crore in Kerala in 12 days and is still running strong in 80 screens. They are expecting that the Malayalam version of Naa Peru Surya is likely to cross the Sarrainodu record of Allu Arjun in Kerala.
Sarrainodu (released as Yodhavu in Malayalam) said to have grossed Rs 7.60 Cr in its full run. Naa Peru Surya is likely to cross this mark this week.
On the other hand, the film also said to have performed better than what was expected. This is the blessing in disguise moment for Allu Arjun and his fans. Fans seem to be happy that at least their hero’s film did well in other states by once again proving his strong base outside Telugu states. Even Mahesh’s Bharat Ane Nenu did moderately well in Tamil than it was expected. Thanks to his last film Spyder which seems to have helped Mahesh in Bharat. On the whole, it’s good sign that the Telugu films are doing good in other states, other markets.
Kar’nataka’ : This Is The Only Option Before Supreme Court
All eyes are on Supreme Court in the ongoing political crisis in Karnataka. Challenging the decision of Governor Vajubhai Vala who invited Yeddyurappa to swear-in as the CM despite not having required numbers, Congress and JD(S) combine has moved the Apex Court on Wednesday late night. The SC bench has asked for the letters submitted by Yedyurappa to Governor dated May 15 and May 16 claiming stake to form the government in state. As Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing for the Centre and Yeddyurappa, is supposed to produce these letters today, the entire nation is looking at Supreme Court on what will happen.
Supreme Court Cannot Compel Governor
Article 163, 164 grant powers to the Governor to act according to his discretion while appointing a chief minister and a council of ministers. So, there is no precedent or any previous judgement of Supreme Court on how the Governor should exercise his discretion while appointing a government.
The Governor can also refuse to be a part of the proceedings citing his privilege and protection under Article 163 which grants him limited discretionary power to him along with immunity from any court proceedings. It will be a bold argument for the Executive to make before the Supreme Court and refuse to give any list.
If the Governor through the Attorney General refuses to share names or details of people who are supporting the BJP, the Supreme Court cannot force or compel. They can call for a constitution bench or pass a verbally criticizing order but cannot cancel swearing-in of a Chief Minister of a state because he could not show names to the Supreme Court since it is not possible under the present law.
Anti-Defection Applicable Only After Swearing-In
When the topic arises that how BJP would get its numbers as independents are only 2 and it needs 6 more MLAs to get magic figure, the question is how will the BJP manage without being caught on the wrong side of anti-defection law? The answer sounds legally correct from AG’s point of view.
Anti-defection law is applicable only after swearing-in of MLAs. This is a strong legal point. Attorney General Venugopal has already raised this before the SC in the last hearing. The argument of AG representing, Governor and Karnataka CM, is when MLAs have not taken oath yet, then anti-defection is not applicable.
But what about the faith reposed by the Constitution on elected politicians and what about the trust, faith of people who voted them. This is subjected for hot discussion and wide debate.
Reduce the Time of 15 Days
This is the only option that Supreme Court has right now. So far when matters of horse-trading or poaching or alleged abuse of power by Governors have emerged, courts decided to reduce the time in order to minimize such acts.
In many cases, the recent being Goa, the Supreme court asked the floor test to be done within 48 hours to avoid poaching of MLAs. The Congress team backed by top lawyers such as Abhishek Singhvi is very much aware of the fact reducing the 15-day time period is the only practical result that they can legally achieve.
PS: What Governor of Karnataka did could be morally, ethically wrong. But legally, he can easily get away and so Yeddyurappa. Only after weighing all these options, BJP seems to have made its moves. But the only possible way is the reducing deadline for the Floor Test where BSY has to prove his majority within the deadline. Even Congress and JD(S) are wanting this in order to defeat Yeddyurappa in Floor Test. One has to wait and watch, what Supreme Court would pronounce in today’s much-awaited hearing.
