Sick CM’s Video Message From US
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who has been undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment at a hospital in the US since 69 days, has finally released a video message.
While Opposition Congress has been demanding for a full-time CM in the absence of Manohar Parrikar, BJP leaders have telecast the video of Manohar where he said he would be back in few weeks. The video message was played at a BJP workers’ meeting that was addressed by party president Amit Shah. BJP leaders of Goa also confirmed that Manohar would return to the state in May itself.
Presently, a three-member advisory committee, comprising cabinet ministers, is looking after the day-to-day affairs of the government, in the absence of the CM Manohar Parrikar.
62-yr-old Manohar has left to the US on March 6 for the treatment for a pancreatic ailment. Earlier, Manohar was treated at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital and he was discharged. But after a few days, his health suffered again. That’s when he has left to the US for the treatment.
Meanwhile, an emotional letter of repentance purportedly written by Manohar Parrikar was circulated online. However, BJP leaders and the CMO has later clarified that the letter was not written by Manohar.

Pic Talk: When Savitri Was Given The Title ‘Mahanati’
Being honored with the Royal elephant ride on Hyderabad streets in this iconic photo moment is the legendary actress Savitri. The actress’ husband Gemini Ganesan is also seen riding on the elephant along with his wife.
The photograph was captured in 1964 when the Andhra Mahila Sabha conferred the title ‘Mahanati’ to Savitri in a grand felicitation ceremony. Even though Savitri had won numerous laurels in her glorious career, ‘Mahanati’ remained as the true testimony of her impeccable legacy.
Mahanati, the biopic on Savitri’s life and career, received rave reviews for translating Savitri’s aura onto the silver screen and is ruling the roost at the box office.
Petrol and Diesel Prices Touch Record Highs
After a 19-day pre-Karnataka poll hiatus, petrol price was today hiked by 17 paise a litre and diesel by 21 paise as PSU oil firms began passing on the spike witnessed in international rates to consumers.
Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 74.80 per litre from Rs 74.63 while diesel rates were increased to Rs 66.14 a litre from Rs 65.93, according to a price notification issued by state-owned oil marketing companies.
With this, diesel prices have touched a record high while petrol is at a 56-month peak. Oil PSUs, who had kept rates unchanged for nearly three weeks before Karnataka went to polls despite input cost spiking, reverted to daily revision in prices no sooner had the state voted to elect a new government on Saturday.
Petrol and diesel prices were last revised on April 24 when they were hiked by 13 paise each. But prices were frozen thereafter considering elections in Karnataka.

Sridevi’s Daughter’s Mothers’ Day Post Melts Hearts
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor has melted the hearts of millions with her touching post. Janhvi, who lost her mother earlier this year in Dubai. While who’s who of Bollywood have been taking to their social media accounts and sharing their pics with their moms, Janhvi posted an emotional post on her Twitter page.
Sridevi will receive a special salute for her contribution to cinema on May 16 at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2018. It will be part of an event, Titan Reginald F. Lewis Film Honours (a celebration of diversity and excellence in cinema), at Le Majestic Beach, Cannes Film Festival 2018.
Earlier she also won this year’s National Film Awards honour. Sridevi posthumously won the Best Actress award for her role as an avenging mother in the Hindi film Mom (2017).
‘BJP Is Winning, Will Give In Writing’
Former Karnataka CM and BJP’s CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa said he will “give it in writing that the BJP would win the Karnataka Assembly elections with full majority and get 125 to 130 seats. He claimed that there is a strong wave in BJP’s favour in Karnataka.
“I have been in Karnataka politics for long… I will give it in writing. BJP is winning with an absolute majority in the Karnataka elections. You can verify it once the results are out,” Yeddyurappa told media. Yeddyurappa said his calculations had never gone wrong in his political career and he expected the BJP to win 125 to 130 seats.” To a query, Yeddyurappa said there was no possibility of a hung Assembly.
Asked to react on Siddaramaiah’s “mentally disturbed” comment about him, Yeddyurappa said the chief minister was saying such things because he knows he would lose both Chamundeshwari and Badami seats from where he is contesting.
Siddaramaiah had called Yeddyurappa “mentally disturbed” when asked to respond to BJP’s chief ministerial candidate’s statement that he would form the government on May 17.
Asked about the possible formation of a BJP government in the state, Yeddyurappa said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and other leaders are confident that the party would win with an absolute majority.
Kanna Episode : Upset Somu Not Reachable
The split within the BJP leaders of AP is out in the open. The appointment of Kanna Lakshminaryana as the AP state unit president for the party has not gone down well with aspirant Somu Veerraju and his followers.
Until evening, Somu Veerraju’s team had told that it will abide by party’s decision. However, after 8 PM on Sunday, Somu Veerraju’s followers have submitted their resignations to party posts.
East Godavari district president Mala Kondaiah, Rajamahendravaram Urban district president Bommula Dattu, and a few other members in these two district committees have quit their party posts against party’s decision to appoint Kanna as the new chief. The resignations have been sent to national president Amit Shah and general secretary cum AP incharge Ram Madhav.
Somu Veerraju had been criticizing Chandrababu & TDP to the core. He has been expecting president post from very longtime and even publicizing that he would be the next chief of BJP in AP. But party’s decision to appoint Kanna as new chief has come as a huge setback to Somu Veerraju & Co.
It is buzzed that several other BJP leaders in other districts are also likely to quit their party posts one after the other. Somu Veerraju is reportedly leading the revolt. However, party’s senior leaders assure that all will be well and this well soon end as a storm in a tea cup.
Tamanna Demands 1.2 Crore, Loses Role!
Tamanna is apparently demanding a huge remuneration of 1.2 Crore. When the makers of Santosh Srinivas and Ravi Teja film have approached Tamanna for the film’s second lead, she reportedly quoted the bomb.

The film’s story was originally planned for Pawan Kalyan, however, the actor’s political entry has changed the plans and finally, Ravi Teja has been cast for the protagonist.
Koratala Siva’s Next Hero Finalized!
After delivering four blockbuster films in a row, writer-turned-director Koratala Siva is one of the most sought-after directors in Tollywood today. And all eyes are on who will be his next hero and next producer.
Here is the exclusive update about Siva’s next. After directing stars such as Prabhas, Mahesh, Jr NTR, Siva is going to direct Nani. Apparently, Siva has given an impressive narration to Nani and Nani too readily agreed to work with Siva.
The film will be bankrolled by Siva’s close friend and film distributor Sudhakar. Sudhakar, who distributed several films in Krishna district, is making his production debut with this film. Sudhakar was originally supposed to produce Jr NTR and Koratala Siva film.
With this, Nani seems to have got huge breather after his last film Krishnarjuna Yuddham turned out to be a dud at the Box Office. A formal announcement on Koratala Siva-Nani film is expected to be made soon. However, Siva wants to take some time for the film’s shoot. On the other hand, Nani is also occupied with his films.
Lavanya Signs Nikhil’s Mudra
Lavanya Tripathi has been zeroed in on to romance young hero Nikhil Siddharth. Lavanya will play Nikhil’s romantic interest in his ongoing film Mudra, the Telugu remake of Tamil film Kanithan. Lavanya has signed the film on the dotted line and expected to join the film’s shoot from tomorrow.
Nikhil will be seen as a journo and plays the role of Arjun Suravaram. The makers had considered several names before roping in Lavanya. The names of Catherine Tresa, Shalini Pandey ( of Arjun Reddy fame) and Megha Akash (Lie and Chal Mohan Ranga) were considered but finally, director and producer said to have voted for Lavanya.
TN Santosh, who had directed original Kanithan in Tamil, is going to direct the Telugu remake as well. After producing Spyder with Mahesh, Tagore Madhu is bankrolling Mudra.
Secret Understanding Between BJP, YCP Exposed?
The allegations of a secret understanding between Modi-led BJP and Jagan’s YSRCP are not new and they have been there from a longtime. BJP is wooing YCP and so YCP, while the BJP slowly ignored TDP by keeping aside the rightful demands of AP.
Be it the last Union Budget or in Parliament session, YCP has supported Modi. Jagan’s right-hand man Vijay Sai Reddy had touched the feet of Prime Minister Modi in Rajya Sabha much to the shocker of people of AP. If this is not enough, Vijay Sai Reddy’s frequent visits to PMO at a time when TDP severed its ties with BJP had added fuel to the speculations that something was cooking between BJP and YSRCP.
Amidst all this, TDP had quit NDA and declared war against Modi. Even now, neither Jagan nor Pawan have criticized Modi thus proving themselves as B-teams of BJP.
If this is not enough, the appointment of Kanna Lakshminarayana, ex Congress minister in YSR’s cabinet and close aide of Jagan, as BJP new chief has once again confirmed the discreet understanding BJP and YCP has.
In fact, Kanna was in plans to quit the BJP and join YSRCP. He even had talks with Jagan and stage was all set for Kanna’s inclusion into YSRCP. However, due to some change of plans, Jagan apparently wanted Kanna in the BJP itself. TDP leaders allege that as per Jagan’s advise, Kanna was even made BJP president of AP. This whole episode has once again proved the strong ties between Jagan and Modi, say TDP leaders.
