Some producers hang on to few heroes whenever they are struggling with financial difficulties. We have seen many such producers getting dates of that hero and making a film only to sell it at profitable rates such that they could come out of debts. Even producer AM Ratnam, who once made big-ticket films, has expected similar help from Pawan Kalyan.

While Ratnam kept saying that Pawan Kalyan is going to do a film for him, it never happened and the Janasena president took a political turn after completing Agnyathavaasi. Then Ratnam’s director son Jyothikrishna who made Oxygen with Gopichand also scored another disaster. Buzz has that Jyothikrishna who has earlier written story for Chiranjeevi’s Sneham Kosam has now narrated another story to him. And this is part of a rescue plan hatched by AM Ratnam, they say.

We hear that if Chiranjeevi likes the story then he will suggest the appropriate mega hero for the film other than Pawan Kalyan such that Ratnam would make a film with that hero. That would be a great help to this struggling producer who wants to come out of the financial mess.

Some people close to Ratnam say Chiru would set right the failed promise of Pawan Kalyan. But honestly speaking, will Jyothikrishna ever write a new and intriguing story that would work at the box office?

From Rudramadevi to Ghazi, Rana Daggubati became a known actor for his tryst with historical films. And then he has the likes of Baahubali under his arm where his larger than life villain in an epic drama. Then, he’s getting ready to don a big avatar in a mythological fantasy drama as well.

After working together in Rudramadevi, both Rana and director Gunasekhar have grown closer developing a big rapport. For that reason, now creative director Guna wants his next film to feature Rana as the lead man. He’s coming up with a big-budgeted fantasy that deals with King Hiranyakashipa and his son Prince Prahlada’s story. Rana will be playing the cruel king who gets killed in the hands of Lord Vishnu who bears Narasimha avatar to kill him.

From a couple of years, Gunasekhar is working on the script and we hear that the pre-production is almost nearing an end. Touted to be a 150 crore budgeted VFX extravaganza that will be shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Rana’s presence is bringing many Bollywood companies as co-producers to Gunasekhar. From August, the film will get on floors if we have to say.

While the negative role of Hiranyakashipudu will be a cake walk for Rana, we have to see who is going to play his son Prahlada in this film.

“When I was working in south films, I didn’t understand films. In my first ever shot (read Devadasu movie) a big shell was dropped on my belly and director told me that it would look beautiful. I wondered ‘really? but why and how?’. Each time they told me I got a very attractive waist. But I didn’t understand it” said Ileana, speaking with a Bollywood media other day.

After moving to Bollywood, Ileana struggled a lot to get some offers and right now she’s finding some housewives kinds of roles in Hindi movies. And then she has resorted to this attack on South to get some instant publicity yet again, isn’t it? She further said, “There used to be a lot of shots on my waist and I always thought of finishing them fast. South Industries haven’t changed and still, they are obsessed with navel treats. In Bollywood, at least, I don’t see that happening very often”.

Speculations were rife that young and happening hero Sharwanand would team up with director Srinivasa Raju of Dandupalyam fame. It all began when Srinivasa Raju had divulged a few media persons that he would be making his Tollywood debut with a straight Telugu film with Sharwanand.

Reports spread like wildfire since Sharwa has scored back-to-back hits such as Shatamanam Bhavati and Mahanubhavudu. Since he even has  interesting films in pipeline, naturally, trade and many in industry were shocked with the reports of Sharwa teaming up with Srinivas Raju.

However, sources close to the actor have quashed them as rumours. It is learnt that Sharwa hasn’t given his go ahead yet and he is yet to confirm the project.

As per sources, as of now, Sharwa has committed for only two films – one with director Hanu Raghavapudi which is currently in shooting phase and the second one with director Sudheer Varma which is likely to go onto the floors. Sharwa is expected to take a call on his up next film only after wrapping up of these two films.

Even before the shoot of Rangasthalam is yet to be wrapped up, Ram Charan has headed to the US for a brief vacation. Charan, who has been working on Rangasthalam, wanted to take a break despite the fact that the film’s shoot is due.

After he returns from the US, Charan will join the shoot of his most anticipated film with director Boyapati Sreenu and Kiara Advani. Also, he would take part in the shoot of Sukumar’s Rangasthalam to complete the balance portions.

It can be noted that Charan had never before worked simultaneously on two films. But breaking this tradition, he would now work for Boyapati Sreenu film and Rangasthalam. While Charan would be seen as a hearing impaired, the film set in 1980s to have a political backdrop i.e Mandal elections and also expected to deal the sensitive issue of caste factor in that era.

As the film’s deadline (March 30) is fast approaching, shoot being pending is raising concerns. Many in film nagar circuits are wondering what made Charan to leave to the US suddenly.
