Natural Star Nani, who is currently at the peak of his career, wishes to remake Megastar Chiranjeevi’s classic comedy, “Chantabbai”.

Released in 1986, Chantabbai is a cult classic not just in Chiru’s elite career, but in the Telugu film history. It was one of the best works of legendary writer-director Jandhyala. The film exploited the impeccable comedy timing of Megastar, who had been doing mostly action films then.

During the promotions of his debut production venture, “Awe”, when Nani was asked which film he desires to remake, he was quick to say, ‘Chantabbai’, indicating he didn’t say just for the sake of it, but the plan has been in his mind for long.

Not many may disagree that Nani would be an ideal choice for the detective role that Chiru had essayed.

Heroine Priyanka Chopra has shocked the nation yet again, this time not with her spicy photo shoot but with her complaint filed on Modi. Common, she has lodged a case on now popular diamond jeweller Nirav Modi, who is the most wanted in the 11,400 crores scam that is going to shake Punjab National Bank from the roots.

With Punjab National Bank (PNB) unveiling an 11,400 crore fraud at a single Mumbai branch and naming diamond firms, including Diamonds R U, Solar Exports, and Stellar Diamonds, it looks like Priyanka is upset with the owner of these firms.

What is so surprising is that Priyanka has stated in 2017 that meeting Nirav Modi is like meeting of minds and showered praises on him for bringing India to the global front. But now that Nirav got locked in a scam, it looks like our heroine wants to severe her ties immediately.

Meanwhile, reports are coming that Nirav Modi has left this country along with family in the first week of January itself. It looks like this is a classic case of another Vijay Mallya, isn’t it?

Gone are the days where a film will have everything in a measurement and few characters are there just as ornaments. To be more precise, many Telugu films will have heroines only for the sake of songs and audience are not liking such portrayals now.

For example in the recently released “Inttelligent” movie, we have seen Lavanya Tripathi arriving just in a scene before the song. Whenever she appears, we could easily understand that there is song around in the next 1 minute or so. And the abruptly forced songs and Lavanya’s glamour didn’t help the film much.

Cut to Bharat Anu Nenu, we hear that this film is also facing similar issues with newcomer heroine Kiara Advani. Reports are coming that this hottie will be seen only in few scenes and whenever she appeared the movie will be going for a song. There are almost four songs on Mahesh and Kiara and not many interesting scenes between them, a source said.

In that case that will be an Inttelligent mistake being committed by director Koratala Siva because during Janata Garage also many felt that heroines are not given prominent roles in that movie. While his leading ladies have literally acted story changers in Mirchi and Srimanthudu, their absence in other films will have the affect on female fans. Let’s see what happens.

If it Nani’s film, surely people will rush to theatres to catch the film on first day first show. But for a film that is produced by Nani and without featuring him inside in any role, will the film get much needed attention and openings?

“Awe!” is the film produced by Nani and the trailer of it sounded something different for sure. At the same time, the plot looks pretty usual with many people converging at a single point (a coffee shop). We have seen many such films where lives are entwined and overlapped at one place. But the getups and attires of stars like Regina, Eesha, Srinivas Avasrala and Ajay Sharma have awed everyone, while Kajal and Nitya Menon are the main crowd pullers.

Despite having such sparkling star cast, somehow the film is not getting desired attention. While the cast has promoted the film through a couple of interviews on television, somehow the way Nani is ‘hiding’ the concept of the movie is said to be slowing down its impact. Believing on a fresh director Prasanth Varma, Nani invested quite a good amount on the film, but he should have taken Kajal, Nitya and Regina to various cities and colleges to promote the film big time.

Also he himself should have done a crucial role like the way Aamir Khan does it in his production ventures. Isn’t it? At the same time, some sort of promotional songs and good music would have helped the film get more attention than what it is now. Maybe for that reason, Nani has induced himself into the film through a voice-over as he speaks for a fish. Let’s see what happens tomorrow!!

“I can make a film with a dog rather Sandeep Kishan” is what producer SK Basheed who owned the Telugu dubbing rights of “Maayavan” movie commented. Till date, the Telugu hero hasn’t commented on this but finally opened up due to pressure from fans to speak about it.

“Though there is no rule that I should either dub or promote the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil film “Maayavan” which is titled as “Project Z”. But still, I’ve done my part. And then, Basheed who bought the film for 1 crore 50 lakhs has paid only 40 lakhs to Tamil producer and director of the film, CV Kumar. What sort of honesty Basheed is talking about by denting 1 crore to the pocket of the producer? And he released the film with Rakendu Mouli’s voice in my place, which happens to be the Censor version of the movie.

Forget about my voice, but the film didn’t have even re-recording track, or Telugu titles or any Telugu dubbing of original artists. Isn’t this illegal?” asks Sandeep Kishan.

“After producer SK Basheed stated that he wants a ‘hot’ song to be shot on me and Lavanya, our heroine started absconding from the promotions. Basheed is someone who went to jail for four times and got banned by Producers Council. I’m dealing this legally and Basheed will be banned again” he added, clarifying his views on the Telugu producer.

Adding more about his integrity towards a film, Sandeep said, “I’m the one who puts everything for a film. I acted as VJ in Maa Music for 10 days to promote C/o Surya movie. Now I toured to many cities in the USA to promote Manasuku Nachindi. I put everything in cinema. Please don’t believe in some ingenuine persons who bark unnecessarily just for the sake of attention”.
