After taking an utterly poor opening on Day 1, just 2 Cr share, Sai Dharam Tej and VV Vinayak’s “Inttelligent” has slid further over the first weekend, hinting the occurrence of a massive disaster.

Trade reports suggest that Inttelligent collected under 3 Cr share in its opening weekend i.e. the action entertainer recovered only 10% of buyers’ investment. It seems the film has been rejected by all sections of audience and in all the territories.

After looking at the massive drop and taking into consideration that several theatres have already taken off the film from first Monday, trade experts predict the film to wind up around 3 Cr share in its full run. In such case, Inttelligent will become the new lowest grosser in the history of Telugu cinema among notable films. The loss percentage will be over 85% i.e. the biggest disaster in terms of percentage loss.

Superstar Mahesh wants to come up quickly with his latest movie such that his fans will forget the injuries caused by Spyder and Brahmotsavam. From a time, they are waiting for his treat such that they could rejoice in the showers of a blockbuster.

Koratala Siva’s Bharat Anu Nenu is the upcoming film of this star hero and the shooting is nearing a conclusion very soon. Actually, the climax parts and other crucial scene were already wrapped and the unit is focusing on comedy track now. Meanwhile, there is an interesting episode that will come up in the first fifteen minutes of the film and it has to be shot in the United Kingdom.

Reports are coming that Mahesh will be flying to London along with his unit members to wrap these scenes. His most recent outing to London is none other than the 1-Nenokkadine movie where large parts of the film are shot in the UK capital and also in Ireland. Now for Bharat, he will be seen as CEO of a company in London and will return to Telugu state after his father, a Chief Minister, expires, a source reveals.

Though Mahesh’s film didn’t work, London has been the backdrop for some hit films like Nannaku Prematho and Tholiprema in the recent times. So Bharat Anu Nenu is also expecting that positive turn for their project.

Mega hero Ram Charan seems to have taken complete control of his ongoing film Rangasthalam into his hands. Apparently, Charan is the one who is calling all the shots regarding the film.

Recently, a general teaser of the film was initially planned by director Sukumar. But that teaser has been dropped and a new modified teaser was prepared under Charan’s supervision. The released teaser saw introducing his character Chitti Babu from the film.

Post this, Charan wanted a teaser on Ramalakshmi’s character (Samantha) and a teaser on Sam was subsequently launched. Sam even publicly thanked Charan for the initiative and gave him the credit.

Buzz is that the film’s pre-release event is now being planned in Vizag next month (likely on March 18) that too as per Ram Charan’s directions. The event may have Chiranjeevi as the chief guest. It’s buzzed that Rangasthalam is being shaped up with Charan’s guidance.

Rumour mongers in industry opine that Ram Charan has taken the control of Rangasthalam into his hands totally. After a class film Dhruva, Charan is aiming to reach to masses like never-before. So, Charan is leaving no leaf unturned to make the film a big hit and is pulling out all the stops.

Audiences watching films in theatres often wonder, why our heroes and filmmakers don’t change much. Generally, filmmakers blame audiences whenever they come up with masala films. But even if it is a masala film, one has to find the right hero to which the script suits.

Going by the trailer of upcoming release Juvva movie, which has Congress politician Botsa Satyanarayana’s cousin brother’s son Ranjith as a hero (his family produced the film too) one could understand that the youngster has starred in an out and out mass action movie. Those are the types of films some big stars like Allu Arjun and Nani do, but they are not for freshers, isn’t it?

We have Nikhil Gowda’s Jaguar, Ishaan’s Rogue, Naga Anvesh’s Angel and Ganta Ravi’s Jayadev, which give us some valuable lessons. All these heroes hail from influential families and got their debuts sound like pakka mass films but only flopped. Because a hero will not be accepted as a mass start until he impresses them with some talents. Even after showcasing his talent in Yevade Subramanyam and Pellichoopulu, Vijay Devarakonda’s mass movie Dwaraka has bitten the dust.

Despite all such films biting the dust at the box office, heroes coming from rich-families still want to debut with mass movies, probably with the intent that they will become a mass-star overnight. Otherwise why no lessons are learnt even after hands are burned, is the question.

In an industry where the opportunities follow success, the story of bubbly beauty Megha Akash is quite a big surprise. Even after making her Tollywood debut with a disaster, she has been offered her 4th film in no time.

Megha debuted in the Telugu film industry with Nithiin’s 2017 release, LIE. Although the film became a disaster, she was surprisingly signed for Nithiin’s immediate next film itself. Titled ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’, the romantic entertainer is bankrolled by Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram. Megha’s third film is the debut project of Kalyaan, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law. The film was officially launched very recently.

According to the latest reports, Megha has been approached to play the female lead in the Telugu remake of Tamil hit film, “Kanithan”. Nikhil plays the lead role. After talks with Catherine Tresa, the female lead in the Tamil version failed, makers considered several newcomers but finally found Megha as the ideal choice for the remake. When approached, the LIE actress has reportedly given her verbal consent to act in the film.

If Megha can get so many films even after debuting with a disaster, imagine how busy she will become if her second film, Chal Mohan Ranga becomes a hit!

The remake of Kanithan, which will be Megha’s fourth Telugu film, is an investigative thriller. The film will go on floors soon.

The stardom of a hero is directly proportional to the collections of his flop film. For example, even the disaster of a Pawan, Mahesh, Charan and Allu Arjun are likely to collect more than 45+ crores and that’s why they are called big stars. And here is a hero trying to enter that zone.

For the second time in a row, mega hero Varun Tej proved himself that he’s into that 5 crore opening day zone in case his films get a hit talk. His earlier flops like Loafer and Mister collected around 3.2+ crores ‘share’ on the first day while his biggest hit Fidaa made 4.9+ crores on the first day while Tholiprema lived up to it with a staggering 5.1+ crores share. That shows how Varun Tej is cementing his market at the box office.

Moreover, with no big holidays and holiday seasons around, if Tholiprema could go ahead to collect somewhere around 35+ crores share, then Varun Tej will fall in that bracket of some proven stars like Nani. That will solidify his film’s market between 30-40 zone where only Nani is hanging around from a long time with others like Nikhil, Sharwanand and also Sai Dharam Tej constantly failing to reach there.

While Tholiprema did extremely well on Saturday and Sunday, we have to see how collections graph is going to stay on Monday (today). With many multiplexes and A-centre theatres seeing 60% occupancy rate in morning itself, trade pundits are predicting a solid first week for the film. Let’s see.

Some say that he’s giving better output for a better package, ie the package being paid to him. Few, however, disagree with this opinion as they say that only better content drives him to deliver such a staggering output. By now, you should have understood whom we are talking about.

So far 2018 has seen only two big hits and they are none other than Anushka’s Bhagamathie and Varun’s Tholiprema. Both these films have one unseen hero and it’s no exaggeration to say that Thaman saved these films big time from getting typecast as an average film. Because his lilting and soul-stirring background score got these two films a new flavour.

For Anushka’s semi-horror treat, without Thaman, you can’t get such a terrific hair rising feel in many scenes. Especially the predictable second half is saved to a large extent by this awesome BGM. And then in Tholiprema, more than story and actors, it is Thaman’s music that stood as a hero in saving each scene. Even a simple walk looked like an epic, due to that enchanting re-recording given by him.

As they say, he is the real hero of these two films, why his music sounded substandard in Inttelligent and Gayathri is something to be discussed. Like we said already, some say it’s the package that made the different, some say its the content. What do you say, folks?

We have already reported that Varun Tej’s next will be a Space film, the first of its kind in Tollywood and second in India. Now, here is some more information about the project that will raise expectations even higher.

The film’s producer, Y. Rajeev Reddy divulged that Varun would play an astronaut in the film, which would be directed by Sankalp Reddy of ‘Ghazi’ fame. Next month, Varun and Sankalp will go to Kazakhstan for month-long training in Zero Gravity conditions, as major part of the film will be shot in space setup (zero gravity conditions). Once the principle cast is finalized, they will also be trained in zero gravity conditions.

The producer added that they would rope in stuntmen from Hollywood and shoot major part in Georgia where special sets and rigs will be built. The regular shooting will commence from April. Gnana Sekhar VS, who had worked on “Gauthamiputra Satakarni” has been finalized to crank the camera. Sankalp is currently busy finalizing rest of the cast and crew.

‘Tholi Prema’, Varun Tej’s follow up to his sensational hit, “Fidaa”, is performing exceptionally good at the domestic as well as overseas box office. After taking the Mega hero’s career best opening, Tholi Prema was rock steady on Day 2.

According to reliable trade information, Tholi Prema had a phenomenal Sunday (day 2) in the Telugu states. The romantic drama collected Rs 3 Cr share on 2nd day, which is 25% higher from Day 1 figure if we consider worth collections, demonstrating how well positive talk can help a film at box office.
