Anupama is apparently charging a decent fee for her ongoing film – Nani’s Krishnarjuna Yuddham. However, the latest is that she is charging triple the amount for her next film which she signed later. What’s more? With this newly-signed film, Anupama Parameswaran too almost joined 1 Crore club. The 21-year-old actress has got into 1 Crore club, thus setting a new benchmark. She is going to be the youngest in the 1 Crore club for sure.

Needless to say that the new-age heroines are minting money like never-before.

The much-anticipated Bollywood release Padman, starring Akshay Kumar, Radika Apte & Sonam Kapoor, released globally to good response from critics.

But, the Akshay Kumar’s film didn’t see the light in neighboring nation Pakistan as its censor board (Federal Censor Board) denied NOC (No Objection Certificate) for film’s release.

Directed by R Balki, the film is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social activist who first designed a very low-cost sanitary napkins for women. For the rejection, the board members offered a clarification that ‘we cannot compel our (Pakistan) distributors to buy a film that’s against our traditions and culture.’

Speaking about this ban, a Pakistani filmmaker Sayyed Noor opined- ‘there should to discussion among distributors and exhibitors before importing the films from foreign nations. Not just Padman, the Pakistan Censor board did not clear Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ for negative portrayal of Muslims.’

In India, Padman was denied to release by Punjab Film Censor board as it speaks out on ‘menstruation’ problems and sanitary napkins.

On other hand, the film based on real-life is making some whopping money at the box-office. According to reports, the 2-day collections of Padman is close to 25 Crores.

He was one among the big shot directors in the Telugu film industry. But after back-to-back duds, the once star director has now been put on a hold by many. However, he is now on comeback mode and fortunately convinced a popular hero to do a film with him. Since both the director and the hero are in flops, the market for their film would also be less.

Aware of these market dynamics, the film’s producer told the director to finish the film in reasonable budget. In fact, the producer told director that he can’t pay him remuneration but offered to pay him a few lakhs monthly just for his regular expenses. Since the director has no other option he has agreed for all the conditions.

Once upon a time, the same director used to charge in double digits (crores) during his peak days. But now, the whole situation got reversed and his life turned upside down. Getting a salary of a few lakhs monthly during the making of a film is more or less equal to the salary of an associate director under a big director. Certainly, it’s a very sad state for the top director who once almost ruled the T-town with blockbusters.

Ohmkar, probably the first male anchor to break the monopoly of female anchors’ domination on Television, is gearing up to make his comeback to TV after a brief stint in the film industry.

After the release of ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’, his third feature film as a director, Ohmkar penned a sports backdrop subject and approached Bellamkonda Sreenivas. The project was heard to have materialized, but the latest reports suggest that it has been cancelled for unknown reasons.

Ohmkar is currently busy overseeing the pre-production work of a TV show, through which he will be staging his comeback to small screen as a Host. The reality show will be aired on Star MAA.

As she is currently shooting for Sharwanand and Hanu Raghavapudi film in Kolkata, she said to have visited famous Kalighat Kali Temple at 5.30 AM in the morning and returned to the sets by 6 AM as the film’s shoot is at 7 AM in the morning.

The unit people are said to be shocked over her maintenance of time and her passion towards work. It’s learnt that she is also very god-fearing.

The unit people divulge that the Fidaa beauty is very cooperative and not a single problem she ‘created’ and hence they all feel that she is very comfortable to work with. However, all said and done, Sai Pallavi is also said to be charging huge for a film and industry people feel that she is worth as many are coming to her films to see her acting prowess thus she’s bringing revenues to her films.

From sometime, senior actor Mohan Babu is sending feelers related to politics. However, he has never opened up on his current political inclination but only confirmed that he’s politically neutral and not with any outfit.

In his recent interview, he clarified that Chandrababu Naidu was once a friend and relative but not now. And also added that if his daughter Lakshmi is getting a ticket from TRS party to contest in Hyderabad he will encourage her. Recently we have seen many filmmakers writing the English spelling of their films’ title in a rather different way. This is due to belief in numerology and believing that the changes will bring success. For example, we have Agnyaathavaasi and Bhagamathie whose spellings look unusual due to the numerology connect which added few letters.

Treading in the same path, mega hero Sai Dharam Tej’s latest movie also saw an addition letter with ‘Intelligent’ being written as “Inttelligent”. But the numerology effect might have helped Anushka this year, however, both the mega heroes have bitten dust big time. The spelling correction of title hasn’t helped Sai Dharam escaping from a disaster at least. A flop would have been more honourable in this moment.

Trivia is that even the likes of Tamanna believe in this and she added extra ‘ah’ in her name, making it Tamannaah. Anchor and director Omkar also added ‘h’, making in Ohmkar. Whether they succeeded or not is something we are seeing in live.
