Following the police custody of Telugu film actor Samrat allegedly in a dowry case filed by his wife, Samrat’s mother Jaya Reddy has hit back at her daughter-in-law and Samrat’s wife Harshita.
Alleging Harshita of ‘torturing’ Samrat, she told media, “Harshita is never fond of Samrat acting in films. Even before marriage, she had put him a condition that he shouldn’t act in films. But Samrat didn’t accept it. She agreed and married him. After the first month of marriage, she started forcing him not to act in movies. But Samrat has been passionate about acting and films. She doesn’t like anyone taking even pics with him.”
“Finally, both Samrat and Harshita have decided to go for divorce with mutual consent. We even agreed to pay her over 30 lakh alimony. But to everyone’s shock, she started filing false cases against him. She has lodged a ‘false case’ of theft against my son,” shared disturbed mother Jaya Reddy.
With the allegations and counter allegations arise, it needs to be seen how the cops would deal with the issue. Since it is subjected to civil case, it has to be dealt in court. More details are yet to be awaited.

Here is the official announcement regarding the release date of Natural star Nani’s promising film, “Awe!”. It will release worldwide on February 16. The theatrical trailer will be released at the pre-release event to be held on 31st January.
The enigmatic teaser that was released earlier this month has already raised curiosity and expectations on the film, which is Nani’s debut production venture. Besides bankrolling the film, Nani lent his voice to the central character, a fish. Written and directed by debutante Prashanth Varma, the film has an ensemble cast – Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Esha Rebba, Avasarala Srinivas, Regina, Murali Sharma and others.
In an embarrassing incident to the Hyderabad police department, an Inspector of their own, has caused a ruckus on the city roads by driving his four-wheeler in heavily drunken state. As a result, two persons suffered injuries and three vehicles damaged.
Identified as Girish Rao, who works as an Instructor at Police Training Centre in Medchal, was found to have more than 230 mg blood alcohol content (the permissible level is 30-35 mg), when subjected to breath analyser test. Passers-by stopped his vehicle, a SUV with a red colour ‘POLICE’ sticker on it, and thrashed him when he was trying to run away after damaging the vehicles that were parked by the road. The injured couple was shifted to a nearby hospital.
The local police rushed to the spot and detained Rao. A criminal case has been registered against him and departmental disciplinary action is likely to initiated. The vehicle in which the cop was driving has four pending challans.
Sandeep Vanga, director of last year’s cult hit, ‘Arjun Reddy’, has recently revealed that reigning Bollywood star Ranveer Singh turned down the offer to act in the film’s Hindi remake. This puzzled the fans of the cult Telugu film as they couldn’t believe that a hero as bold as Ranveer could reject such a potential film. Even Sandeep didn’t reveal why Ranveer turned down the remake.
The star hero himself might have just revealed the reason. During a recent interview post the release of ‘Padmaavat’, Ranveer revealed that he could go maniac on silver screen but he would never play a drunkard. The actor revealed that he was recently offered a film where he had to play an alcoholic and that he had rejected it since he is a teetotaler.
He didn’t take the name of Arjun Reddy movie, but he sort of conveyed the same. Ranveer could fake drinking on screen if its for one or two scenes, but being a believer in ‘method acting’, he doesn’t want to fake it throughout a film.

On Monday, the veteran CPI leader made his financial details public while filing nomination papers for the upcoming assembly polls in the state. As per his latest affidavit, he has a bank balance of just Rs 2410 as of January 20 this year. Interestingly, the amount is significantly less than Rs 9,720, which he had in his bank account when he made his financial details public during the last elections in 2013.
Sarkar also claims to have a non-agricultural land measuring 0.0118 acre, jointly owned with his siblings, the only inherited movable asset. That’s it! This is what this CM has after being in power for five consecutive terms!

Subramaniam Reddy said, “There were no such wealthy persons around Jagan when he was in jail. Only a few loyalists and his family was with Jagan when he was jailed. But whereas, after he came out of jail, a lot of rich people came to him. He has now offered all of us to the rich.” Subramaniam added that he is in politics to serve people.

We have exclusively learnt that Rajamouli gave his nod to play the role of a Doctor in the new film of his assistant, Karuna Kumar. The latter has earlier made his directorial debut with Nithin and Priyamani starrer, ‘Drona’. The film was a box office bomb.
After a long sabbatical, Kumar has materialized his new film, in which two newcomers will play lead roles. Rajamouli’s character will be a crucial one. The film will go on floors next month. Writer-director Hari Prasad, who made his directorial debut with “Darsakudu”, has penned story and dialogues. He is the associate of director Sukumar.
So, despite the newcomers in lead, the untitled film has ace director SS Rajamouli, his assistant Karuna Kumar and Sukumar’s associate Hari Prasad working for it, which looks enough to draw attention of movie buffs.
