Mahesh Babu, one of the big stars of the Tollywood, is going to grace a grand event organised by the MAA (Movie Artistes Association) in the US. This is a charity event which will raise funds to the MAA and the funds will be used to build an Old-age Home. Since this is for a cause, all big stars of the industry have come forward to grace the do.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and who’s who of Tollywood is likely to grace the do. Chiru will be the special attraction. Both Chiru and Mahesh sharing the dais is expected to cheer the crowds. A team in the US is already busy working on the preparations for the event.

Incidentally, 2018 marks the 25 years’ of Movie Artistes Association. Hence, the MAA is planning for a massive Silver Jubilee celebrations in the year involving all the stars of the industry.

A noted sand artiste will do sand art on all the 25 films of Pawan (including Agnyaathavaasi) before the event kick starts. The Madras High Court has taken a serious note of the comments made by Tamil superstar Vijay’s father about Tirumala temple, and order a probe into the matter.

Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekhar, in his speech at a local event in Chennai last month, allegedly said the offerings made by devotees at Tirumala temple are nothing but ‘bribery’.

Describing his comments as inciting, a Hindu religious group in Chennai filed a petition in Madras High Court demanding stern action against Chandrasekhar. In the petition, they alleged that the comments had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community.

Responding to the petition, the Madras High Court reportedly ordered a probe into the alleged controversial comments made by Vijay’s father, and directed the Greater Chennai Police to arrest him if he was found guilty.

When Vijay’s “Mersal” was engulfed in controversy recently, some BJP leaders targeted him by aiming at his religion. Now, this controversy involving his ‘father and Hindu sentiments’ might give another chance to detractors to sling mud at the star hero.
