Mahanati, an upcoming Telugu on legendary Telugu actress Savithri, is all in the news for the star cast it has and the kind of revelations it is going to make. Except the fact that Keerthy Suresh is playing the title role, there’s no clarity on Samantha and Dulquer Salman roles in the film, as director Nag Ashwin and makers are maintaining a planned silence on the same. Although several rumors popped up that Samantha will be a journalist in the film, there was no authenticity to the news.

But, the lead actress Keerthy Suresh recently opened about the character her co-actress is playing in this biopic film. Partly to surprise, the PSPK25 lady revealed that Samantha will be seen as ace veteran actress ‘Jamuna’ and she will be narrating the story to audiences. Given that Samantha is only signing films of her choice and some challenging roles, we assume that this character will be a major highlight in the story.

Apart from the above discussed actors, Mahanati will have Mohan Babu as veteran legendary actor ‘SV Ranga Rao’, Prakash Raj as yesteryear producer-and-director ‘Aluri Chakrapani’. And the recent sensation Shalini Pandey also grabbed a meaty role in the film. With audio tunes by Mickey J Mayor, the most-awaited trilingual film is likely to see the light in mid-2018.

Over the last couple of years, Rao Ramesh has evolved as an able replacement for Prakash Raj. Like the latter, Rao Ramesh has also earned name as an actor who can get into the skin of any character, someone who can convince audience with both extremely positive roles and trademark villainy. This naturally resulted in huge demand for the actor, and the expected hike in remuneration. We have learnt that the actor hiked his pay to a level that even a banner as big as Geetha Arts couldn’t afford him.

Director Parasuram, who last directed ‘Srirasthu Subhamasthu’ starring Allu Sirish for Geetha Arts banner, is directing his next film also for the same prestigious banner. Vijay Devarakonda is on board to play the male lead. Parasuram had approached Rao Ramesh to play hero’s father character in this film, but the talented senior actor is said to have shocked him by asking Rs 4 lakhs per day fee. Feeling that Rao Ramesh’s asking fee was too high, makers replaced him with Mega brother Naga Babu.

It may be recalled that Parasuram had cast Rao Ramesh in heroine’s father role in Srirasthu Subhamasthu. The character received immense applause for the writer-director’s impactful dialogues and the actor’s heart touching performance. Hence, the director hoped to repeat him in the Devarakonda-starrer as well but the remuneration asked by Rao Ramesh reportedly annoyed both Parasuram and Allu Aravind, pursuing them to replace him with Naga Babu.

Actor Naga Shourya & Popular DOP Sai Sriram as Director has started new film under the banner Manyam Productions. Anish Krishna (Director), VI Anand(Director), Upendhra (Director) has graced the ceremony while the Camera has switched on by Maruthi, clapped by Kona Venkat & Script given to Driector Sai Sriram by Kona Venkat & Maruthi Respectively.

Sai Sriram has worked as DOP for many popular films i.e Mem Vayasuku Vacham, Ala Ela, Supreme, Pilla Zamindar, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Chalo in past is now coming as a Director with this film. Radhan is composing the music, Cinematography is handling by Hari Prasad Jasthi, Dialogues written by Viswa Netra & the movie being produced by M. Vijay Kumar under Manyam Productions.

Regular shooting of the film will start from 1st week of January, Heroines of the film will be announced soon.

Mental Madhilo heroine Nivetha Pethuraj has impressed one and all with her acting prowess. Not many know that she has her roots in Telugu. Her father Pethuraj is from Telugu who married Tamil lady Bhavani (Nivetha’s mom). Born in Madhurai, Nivetha has a brother Nishan. The family is settled in Dubai for 15 years and recently returned to Chennai. Nivetha’s shot to fame was she has won the crown Miss India Dubai.

Nivetha says she would prefer roles with substance and not so keen on glam roles, but she quickly adds that she is open to glam show provided it is required for the script.

Nivetha says that she has directorial plans. “I would like to direct a film some day,” shares Nivetha Pethuraj.

Nivetha is apparently getting a lot of offers in Telugu and she is said to be choosy.

Though hero Sumanth proved his mettle long back, somehow back to back flops pushed him into a hero not-in-demand. Time and again, he’s trying to bounce back but even a remake of super hit film like Vicky Donor also didn’t save him. He’s now coming up with the film “Malli Rave”.

Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film happens to be the love story of Karthik (Sumanth) from Razole, who fell in love with his childhood friend Anjali (Akanksha Singh), in younger days itself. While the girl comes and goes, on and off, Karthik loves her no matter what.

The teaser’s delicate emotions, simple dialogues and intriguing background score from Shravan Bharadwaj is what worked like magic that made make audiences glue to it. But the way heroine utters the lines, ‘Karthik’ ‘Na meeda kopam leda’ all those remind of Jessie from Ye Maya Chesave.

Needless to say, the emotion in the teaser got connected to everyone instantly and many are predicting this is a fate-changing movie for Sumanth. Hope it will be!!

Star heroine Shruti Haasan always says that her personal life is something she doesn’t want to discuss anywhere with anyone. But her repeated appearances with London based guy are making her personal life more public.

Other day, Shruti’s British boyfriend Michael Corsale was caught meeting her mom Saarika in Mumbai. While he brought a bouquet of flowers to Saarika, Shruti then took both of them to a restaurant for a dinner. For a long time, Shruti lives in a separate flat away from her mom in Mumbai. So this meeting is now gaining prominence.

Rumours are coming out that Shruti actually wants to take the relationship to next level and wants to marry Michael very soon. The duo is already said to be living together in London as she’s frequenting the UK capital often these days. The Telugu remake is being directed by national-award winning director Neelakanta. Neelakanta is known for films such as Missamma. He is back to calling the shots after a longtime.

All these remakes of Queen (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions) are being produced by Manu Kumaran, son of international award winning Malayalam director KP Kumaran on their home banner Mediente Films.

People would not have expected that character Jack (Leonardo Di Caprio) dies at the end of Titanic movie. Similarly many got shocked when Dhupati Haribabu (Varun Tej) succumbs to bullet injuries in Kanche movie. The comparison here is why hero characters need to die in the end.

Talking about the same, director James Cameron of Titanic says, “Titanic is about death and separation, so it will be meaningful only if Jack dies in the end. How he died is not needed here, but he has to die because it is art. There will be no physics here”.

It seems true because Titanic is primarily the story of a sunken ship that killed thousands. At the same time, Kanche is also about innocent people getting killed in a war that doesn’t belong to them. So both Jack and Dhupati Haribabu made those films righteous with their deaths. Long live screenplay!!

Telugu girl Swathi Reddy hasn’t made it to the top though she has all qualities to become a star heroine. However, she feels that whatever she achieved till date makes her happy and satisfied. In an interview, however, she revealed about director Krishna Vamsi’s ego, albeit indirectly.

During the times of her TV stint as anchor of ‘Colors’ program, Swathi got a call from Krishna Vamsi’s office regarding chance in “Danger” movie. Upon reaching his office, Swathi and her mother asked for the script.

Swathi adds, “Stunned by our question, Krishna Vamsi took a white paper and wrote KV on it. This is enough he said. As I and my mom got shocked, he asked us, to give audition first and prove my acting talent rather asking him the story”. She confirmed that after she succeeded in the audition, KV has, in fact, told her the story.

The whole episode actually revealed how egoistic the then top director Krishna Vamsi is when it comes to narrating the story to the heroine. Most star directors of that time used to be quite hot-headed but now the trends have changed. Even Rajamouli is also narrating the story to his leading ladies.

Seems like Swathi actually revealed that ‘ego’ of KV accidentally but it led to some nostalgic recollection of memories for Tollywood.
