Impressed! Ivanka invites KTR to America

Share

The young leader of Telangana, who has been inviting the laurels from the leaders across the nation, has now impressed US president’s daughter with his rhetorical & progressive approach as a IT Minister. The man we are speaking is Sri K Taraka Rama Rao. Read on…

Telangana IT Minister, who’s instrumental in making 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit a grand success, has received an invitation from Ivanka Trump to meet her in United States during his scheduled visit to their country early next year.

According to the principal secretary of IT, Telangana – Jayesh Ranjan, KTR will lead a delegation to visit Harvard University in US on 12 Feb, 2018. During this tour, KTR will also meet the advisor of US President Trump (Ivanka) for a bilateral meeting. For having conducted a terrific global summit, Ivanka too expressed a big ‘thumbs up’ to India.

More than 300 venture capitalists who’ve participated in GES-2017 have exuded confidence in Hyderabad. This will attract more investments to the state of Telangana, said J Ranjan. ‘The two day-visit of Ivanka to Hyderabad grabbed the eye balls of entire world and the state government deserves the credit.’ he added.

‘Chiranjeevi A Big ‘Saapam’ For Pawan Kalyan’

Share

TDP senior leader and Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy made sensational comments on film star turned political leaders Chiranjeevi and his younger brother and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan.

He said Chiranjeevi is a big liability (Saapam) for Pawan to pursue a political career in Telugu state politics. Chiranjeevi has done the mistake of merging his Praja Rajyam party with Congress. ‘Chiru sowed seeds but failed to wait for the harvest from the crop’, he added.

Reddy said Pawan will have to struggle hard and convince Andhra people that he will not repeat the mistake committed by Chiranjeevi in the politics. Pawan should create confidence first among people that he will not bid adieu to active politics like his elder brother.

Agnathavasi: Pawan Kalyan Goes to Mallu

Share

Pawan Kalyan’s landmark film (PSPK 25) Agnathavaasi directed by Trivikram Srinivas is going to be released in Kerala.

The interesting update is that the film is not being dubbed into Malayalam, but instead the straight Telugu film will be released across prominent theatres in Kerala. The majority will be multiplexes.

This is a treat for PSPK fans in Kerala who could watch their boss in straight Telugu. Apparently, even Pawan’s Mallu fans would come to theatres just to see Pawan and his action (irrespective of language).

Makers are highly confident of the film. What’s more? Since the film has Mallu actresses Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emmanuel, it is buzzed that the exhibitors in Kerala are coming forward with great interest to screen this film.

The film’s music is by Anirudh who is also popular there in Kerala, all thanks to his Kolaveri Di song. The makers of Agnathavaasi are planning for a wide release of the film on Jan 10, 2018 cashing on PK’s craze.

Oxygen Movie Review

Share

After getting delayed for many months, Oxygen is finally in theaters now. Directed by Jyothi Krishna the film is an action thriller with a social message. It is a pretty ordinary attempt from the director that even Gopichand’s screen presence couldn’t save it.

Story :

Krishna Prasad (Gopichand) is an NRI who comes to India to marry the daughter (Rashi Khanna) of a village landlord (Jagapathi Babu). Krishna Prasad saves their family from their enemies, but there is something that he is hiding from them. He comes there with a plan to avenge his parents and girlfriend’s (Anu) death.

Performances:

Gopichand’s screen presence and his performance is the biggest plus for this otherwise tiresome film. He excelled in action scenes and did his best to keep the film alive despite boring narration. Surprisingly a dubbing artist was used for a few portions. Rashi Khanna has nothing much to do. Anu has an important role to play in the main plot and she is alright. Jagapathi Babu is getting typecast in such roles lately. Ali’s comedy didn’t click. There is not a single noteworthy performance from the remaining star cast consisting seasoned actors.

Technicalities:

Jyothi Krishna’s script is seriously flawed with too many holes in it. Entire first half is plain bore to sit through. Second half focuses on the action part and Jyothi Krishna fails to narrate the film in an interesting manner. Elementary level direction made mockery of the things to an extent that it looks like a stage play at times.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is mediocre. He didn’t even leave his mark with the background score. Even the Cinematography is ordinary compared to the films of this class. There’s nothing much for an editor to do with such poor content on hand. Production values are surprisingly average in spite of AM Ratnam’s brand.

Thumbs Up:

  • Gopichand
  • Interval twist

Thumbs Down:

  • Pointless narration
  • Aimless direction
  • Meaningless execution

Analysis:

Oxygen is primarily a revenge drama but with a twist. First half is a futile exercise just for the sake of bluffing the audience so that they could be surprised with the twist before the interval. Although it takes us by surprise, it doesn’t raise curiosity over the second half as it can be easily guessed at the intermission point only.

Second half focuses on the flashback portions of the protagonist that are not even mildly engaging. He loses his brother and later his parents and girlfriend all because of some greedy businessmen. Now he is after them to put an end to their illegal business. It would be a huge spoiler if we get too much into the details of this flashback part.

Once the flashback is done, protagonist goes after remaining bad men to complete his mission. Despite nonstop action, nothing seems to be exciting due to poor characters and awful writing. Not even a single scene makes an impression. It is lazy and amateurish in its approach to characterization and narrative.

Pre climax and climax scenes are unintentionally funny. Even the predictable climax twist doesn’t help the film to redeem a bit. On a whole, Oxygen suffocates its viewers with terrible writing and equally worse execution. Even the masses cannot tolerate this amateur stuff. You can look for better options if you are planning for an entertaining weekend at the cinemas.

Verdict: On a ventilator!

Bhallaladeva – Haathi Mera Sathi

Share

Post Baahubali, Rana has opted for different cinema – Ghazi, Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Continuing the trend, Rana has signed an unique film based on animals, especially elephants. Said to be a trilingual (Telugu, Tamil and Hindi), Rana has signed the film on the dotted line.

To be directed by Prabhu Solomon, of Gajaraju (Kumki) & Prema Khaidi (Mynaa) fame, the film is franchise of Haathi Mera Saathi which was a 1971 classic film based on Human-Elephant Dosti.

However, Prabhu and Rana seem to have chosen a story that is inspired by real life incidents. The film is said to boast extensive VFX and spectacular visuals. Prabhu’s films always have a great dose of nature. Nature plays a pivotal chracter in his films. This will be repeated in Haathi Mera Sathi.

The film’s shoot will be kicked off in January in Thaliand followed by several authentic locales in India. Apparently, this is a tribute from the makers to Rajesh Khanna who was seen in the original.

Like original, the franchise also revolves around a beautiful relationship between man and elephant. Trinity Pictures, of Eros International, is bankrolling this trilingual film.

Movie Disaster, Heroine Tells The Reason

Share

Despite several attempts in Tollywood and Kollywood, the hot beauty Lakshmi Raai is not the most-wanted by the makers down south. So, she decided to test her luck in Bollywood with an erotic film like ‘Julie-2’. But, that resulted as a disaster at the box-office.

Disappointed with its failure, Lakshmi has blamed it on promotional content which she said were delusive. Given hot content in film’s first teaser, audiences assumed it as a sex-film with much more skin-show. But, they were in for a shock after seeing no such scenes in the film, also the critics teared apart film on release day – agreed the hot lady who’s still a favorite for her fans.

Apart from taking it as her mistake, Raai said that it’s a great learning experience for her and she’s confident that it doesn’t impact her career in big way.

Em Matladutunnav Brother? Asks Sai Dharam Tej

Share

When a chance is going to ask some critical questions, definitely media folks bring few personal questions into place. That’s what happened with Sai Dharam Tej as well as the mega hero is busy promoting his tomorrow’s release “Jawan” big time.

Apparently, a journo questioned Sai Dharam Tej, ‘Why do you imitate Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan in your acting?’. Pat came a reply from the Mega Menalludu.

“Em Matladutunnav brother? (What are you talking, brother?). I’ve grown looking at them in awe. Also, i’m their nephew. Definitely, there will be both seen influence and genetic influence as well. What’s wrong with that?” he clarifies.

At the same time, some even questioned him, if Ram Charan is close to him and if he asked him to not remix particular song of Chiranjeevi. This is in connection with the rumours that Sai Dharam is close to Pawan and all is not well between Pawan’s fans and Chiranjeevi’s fans in the Mega family itself.

Sai Dharam gave a more striking answer this time. “If I remix a song, Charan will tell me it that is good or not. But he will never tell doesn’t do this, don’t do that kind of stuff. Also, we’re good friends since childhood and he comes to our house regularly. Why would you get such doubts?” he articulated.

Maybe journo folks should come up with better questions next time.

Lobbyists Trying To Influence Rajamouli?

Share

BIG is a small word before what SS Rajamouli is going to do if the feat of Mega and Nandamuri multi-starrer dazzles the screen with utmost magnanimity. Other than sharing a photo that features him with Tarak and Ram Charan, however, Rajamouli didn’t spill anything about this project.

Ever since the news of this project was confirmed by Jr NTR to his friends and admirers, and Ram Charan to his well-wishers, we hear that a batch of lobbyists started trying to influence Rajamouli. So what do they want? These lobbyists are not trying for any cast and crew related things, but something which anyone would expect.

Apparently, they are said to be advising the Baahubali maker about the way he should make content for this movie. Some are reportedly advising him about the kind of scenes he should keep to satisfy Nandamuri fans and mega fans. Some are warning him about the consequences if the mega-nandamuri thing is not balanced.

All said and done, Rajamouli is said to be giving good smile to all these lobbyists indicating that he doesn’t care a damn about their advice. Absolutely he’s the master craftsman and there is no need to advise him, isn’t it?

Chiranjeevi Should Shutdown That Checkpost

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi is being seen as the next Big Dad of Telugu Film Industry after Dasari Narayana Rao’s sudden demise. Because there is no other big shot here who could take care of the well being of all producers, directors and other technicians who have some issues to be resolved.

In the recent times, many big and small stars, technicians and others are seen meeting Chiranjeevi at his house. And that strengthened the speculation that he will now lead the show when it comes to dispute solving. But another version is that he’s inaccessible to many Tollywood people.

Apparently, if someone has to meet Chiranjeevi, the process is little tough as simply they can’t knock his doors. They have to take an appointment and wait for him for a couple of days to catch up. While people who know corporate ways of approach are at ease with this, those traditional-style working folks are feeling indifferent with this.

Approaching Chiranjeevi is not as easy as reaching out to Dasari due to various technical and practical hurdles. But still, if Chiranjeevi could get that Check Post on the way to his house in Jubilee Hills removed, we mean if they act more like a grievance cell than a security team, then many would be meeting him to get things done.

Pic Talk: What Is This Mad Rush Hyderabadis?

Share

Other day Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the much awaited Metro Rail in Hyderabad and dedicated it to the nation and Hyderabadis. Since then, almost every Hyderabadi is eagerly waiting to take a ride in this newly developed modern transport system that is constructed with almost 16,000 crores budget.

In fact, many people want to get the real feel of the modern urbane metro station which is located mid-air and stands on the only couple of pillars. At the same time, they want to travel through the cabins once and have a look at Hyderabad from a top elevation. Guess, what that desire has resulted in?

At stations in Miyapur and Ameerpet, Miyapur and also Nagole, huge crowds are seen thronging into. It is almost chaos as many failed to catch the train in a couple of attempts. Some scenes have reminded of the Mumbai MMTS where hundreds of people are seen swarming themselves into small spaces.

Going by the onlookers, we have to say this is just a mad rush to have a look at Metro station and train. Be careful folks, such enthusiasm is risky as well lest any untoward incident happens.

Hello, Teaser Is Back!! Akhil Says ‘Pheww’

Share

It was a shocker yesterday as the teaser of Akkineni Akhil’s much-awaited film “Hello” was taken down from YouTube due to a copyright claim.

Later it was revealed that the soundtrack used for the teaser happens to be ‘Exosuit’ composed and produced by ‘Really Slow Motion’ and ‘Epic North’. For that reason, the teaser was removed.

However, late in the night, the teaser was back into action and Akkineni Camp is fully elated about the thing. Because their silence throughout the day about the missing teaser gave a shocker to fans also.

“8 million and counting on social media. As producers of the film, we have to clarify the false copyright claim on our teaser. We are proud to have collaborated with really slow motion for an amazing background score. Pheww! What havoc for no reason!” tweeted Akhil, after the teaser went live on YouTube again.

A source tells us, “Earlier the makers have forgotten to list ‘Teaser soundtrack: Really Slow Motion’ in the credits that are given beneath the video. Though you buy music, giving credit is a must. Now that the credit is added, the video is back”.

Unlike in India where we just lift music from other sources and not even credit them, in other parts of the world, it looks like you have to credit the source though you have paid them. Pheww!!
