Mega fans are quite upbeat until a couple of days ago that Ram Charan is going to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017. But that didn’t happen in the end leaving all of them in disappointment.

Some reports indicated that Ram Charan will take part in the Media and Entertainment related panel discussions in the capacity of a producer as he owns Konidela Production. Later it was said that as Charan is also a partner in TruJet Airlines, he will be attending the event for Science and Innovation meet. It is also said that his good friend, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao has asked him to take part in the summit.

Whatever it may be, in the end, our mega-hero hasn’t turned up at the place leaving his fans in utter shock. Talking about the same, his wife Upasana Kamineni stated, “Actually Ram Charan got busy with some other programs and that’s the reason he couldn’t turn up at GES”.

One wonders what is that important program that kept Ram Charan busy because he was actually watching Upasna on TV during the #GES2017 inauguration event.

Rumours are afloat that Prabhas would be seen in a dual role in his forthcoming action thriller Sahoo. While it is not yet clear whether it is true or just rumour, at the moment any information pertaining to Prabhas role in Sahoo has been kept under the wraps.

However, it is reliably learnt that he has two avatars in the film. “Each one is interesting in its own way and distinct in its own manner,” divulged a source in the know. Even the look of Prabhas in the teaser (unveiled along with the release of Baahubali : The Conclusion) is different from Prabhas first look from the film where he is seen hiding his face with a mask and walking against the backdrop of skyscrapers in Dubai.

Made on a whopping budget of over Rs 150 Crore, the film is made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Shraddha Kapoor will be seen as Prabhas’ love interest while Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a prominent role. Renowned music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed the soundtrack for the film while Sabu Cyril is the production designer. Director Sujeeth is said to be working hard in order to meet the mammoth expectations on the film.

There are only a few production houses in Tollywood that have reached top league in very short span, and Mythri Movie Makers (owned by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yelamanchili and Mohan Cherukuri) can easily be placed be in Top 3 in this category. Their success story is something that astonishes as well as inspires several filmmakers.

Mythri Movie Makers announced their entry into Tollywood with two back to back Blockbusters – Srimanthudu & Janatha Garage. Their next biggie, Ram Charan-Sukumar’s “Rangasthalam” is currently in production. Now, we hear that they have at least 10 projects in pipeline, at different stages.

Naga Chaitanya-Chandoo Mondeti’s ‘Savyasachi’ is already under production, a film in the combination of Nani and director Kishore Tirumala is all set to go on floors from January next year, and another new film starring Vijay Deverakonda will enter production stage from Feb 2018. Pawan Kalyan’s film in Santosh Sreenivas’s direction, Mahesh Babu’s film in Trivikram’s direction will also go on floors next year.

Besides these, films with Sai Dharam Tej, Ravi Teja, Akhil Akkineni, Boyapati Srinu, Srinu Vytla and Prabhas are in discussion stages, and most of them are likely to confirmed by the end of next year, and some of them will go on floors as well. A dozen films are likely to release from this banner in next two years.

In coming two years, Mythri Movie Makers is expected to emerge the most prolific production house in Tollywood.

The film has been passed the censor hurdle finally after the makers agreed to replace the GST term in one of its songs with EMI. The film is passed with U/A without any cuts in the film.

Apparently, Vijay and his team including senior actress Radhika has high expectations on Indrasena. Krishna Reddy, of Inkokkadu fame, is releasing the film on Nov 30 in AP and Telangana. Interestingly, the film said to have done decent theatrical business. Let’s see whether brother sentiment too work for Vijay or not.

Makers of small budget movies can’t pool funds to promote their films since they would already be investing more than their capacity to complete their films. Knowing that promotions can’t be dispensed with, they have come up with a new trend to take their films into public – Using Top Actors with whom they have good acquaintance.

We have seen Sukumar taking the services of NTR, Ram Charan, Chiru, Rakul Preet and other big names to promote his production ventures featuring lesser popular faces. Comedian Sreenivasa Reddy pulled similar stunt in the case of Jayammu Nischayammu Raa. Sunil took the help of Pawan Kalyan to recently unveil the teaser of his upcoming film, ‘2 Countries’.

Comedian-turned-hero Sapthagiri is also following the same mantra. His debut film as hero, ‘Sapthagiri Express’ garnered huge free publicity with the presence of Pawan Kalyan at the audio launch event and also with the ‘Katamarayudu’ title connect. For his new film, ‘Sapthagiri LLB’, the top comedian is using the services of heroes one after another. Ram Charan had earlier launched the trailer, and Nani has today launched the film’s 3rd song. He is reportedly planning to continue this strategy towards the film’s release date in his bid to keep his film in news.

Cine observers say that Sapthagiri has chosen the cheapest yet most effective promotional strategy, and that his Vadakam of Stars is at peaks.
