We have recently informed that ‘Fidaa’ beauty Sai Pallavi was almost confirmed to play the female lead in Sharwanand’s new film to be directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. We has now exclusively learnt that she signed the film today.

Sai Pallavi was Hanu’s first choice for his film. When he approached her, she liked her characterization, and gave a verbal consent to do the film. She took some time to sort out her dates, and signed the agreement today.

The film is said to be a pure love story, like Hanu’s debut film, ‘Andala Rakshasi’. Major part of the shoot will be held in Nepal. The regular shoot will commence soon.

At a time when reports are coming that newcomer director Vivek Aatreya’s “Mental Madhilo” is not garnering enough collections despite a positive talk, the makers are having a different story to tell.

Released by Suresh Babu, this romantic tale of a confused guy got thumbs up from many critics and audiences alike. As per the collection report, the film made 2.25 crores gross in first 3 days, including that of 1.39 crores from India and 86 lakhs from the USA. At overseas box office the film collected $ 25,277 from previews, and went to collect Fri $ 32,853, Sat $ 48,207, Sun $ 27,699 making to a total of $ 134,036 (86+ lakhs).

Going by these 3-day collections the film has made 1.12 crores share from the box office. And the digital rights of the film are sold to Yupp TV at a whopping 1.25 crores. That’s the reason to feel that Mental Madhilo is already a profitable venture with nearly 2.4 crores in producer’s kitty.

Made on a shoe-string budget that is below 1 crore, Mental Madhilo may not repeat a Pelli Choopulu range magic for Suresh Babu and producer Raj Kandukuri, but the film stands as a profitable venture. With many films biting dust despite huge budgets for production and promotion, Mental Madhilo stood tall against all the tough times for sure.

Starting the year on a blockbuster note with Khaidi No.150, Kajal scored another hit with Rana’s ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’. She then had Vivegam and Mersal, opposite two of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema, both films were dubbed in Telugu. She signed Kalyan Ram’s “MLA”, the Telugu remake of “Queen”, and both these films are currently in production stage. The numero uno beauty has now signed young hero Sharwanand’s new film too.

Makers of Sharwa-Sudheer Varma’s new film have considered several actresses before locking Kajal and Nithya Menen. Kajal was approached very long back but she couldn’t sign the film then, despite very much liking the character she was offered, because of her busy schedule. As the film got delayed, makers had once again approached her, and she signed the film this time.

This is the first time Kajal is working with Sharwa whereas this is Nithya’s third film with him. Said to be an intense crime thriller, the film will have Sharwa in dual role. The regular shooting will commence from December/January. Sithara Entertainments will bankroll the film.

Comedian turned hero Saptagiri’s latest outing as the leading man is Saptagiri LLB. It is a remake of critically acclaimed Bollywood hit Jolly LLB.

All in all, Saptagiri LLB trailer focuses less on content and concentrates more on hero elevation. Saikumar as the antagonist is the only plus point about it.

If we have to say frankly, the present situation of Telugu Film Industry is very bad at the box office because of the success rate. While it is raining films in theatres, they are just being emptied out of screens in three days from the date of release.

Due to various factors including bad promotions, poor content, lack of theatres and big-film hurdles, small and medium films are suffering big time. Looking at statistics and doing a small math, we could easily say, from last three weeks there is not a single hit and more than two-dozen films failed miserably at the box office.

A week after Raja The Great reaped hefty collections, Garuda Vega scored well after releasing on November 3rd, while same-day releases like Next Nuvve and Angel failed big time. Later we have C/o Surya and Okkadu Migiladu hitting cinemas, but they too have bitten the dust. Other releases in the next Fridays including London Babulu, Lovers Club, Snehamera Jeevitham also failed to impress. Last Friday, films like Balakrishnudu, Devi Sri Prasad, and Jandhyala Rasina Premakatha tumbled big time. Only Mental Madhilo has impressed big time, but the collections are not impressive.

At the same time, dubbed releases like Detective, Khaki, Julie 2 and Hey Pillagada got some attention due to star-cast but haven’t made their presence felt at the box office.

In all the films mentioned above, there is notable star cast who got some trendsetting times but still failed to manage a victory. All in all, we have to say that the content is pretty weak in some movies and promotions are quite low in other movies. Definitely, it’s a pitiable situation because huge money is at stake with these flops.

November is gone, without any considerable hit, so hope December is going to change the situation to a better.

Ever since Rajamouli shared a picture that features him with two big star heroes of Tollywood, it became trending in no time breaking the internet. That pic of Ram Charan and NTR posing candidly with Rajamouli led to many discussions and unofficially got confirmed that this is the beginning of a multi-starrer movie.

Till date, none from the three stalwarts in the picture have uttered a word about the film. However, Rajamouli’s father confirmed off the record that the story is being worked out. While promoting his latest movie Jawaan, hero Sai Dharam Tej was shown that internet breaking picture and asked to make some comments. In an interview, he revealed that the picture stunned him and when some friend told him that a project is coming off them, he called his cousin to clarify.

‘Era Nijamena? I asked him. He said. ‘Avunraa’. Then I got elated and shocked as well’ revealed Saidharam, indicating that he called upon Ram Charan over the picture and got a clarity from him. Should we not see this as a first-ever confirmation about the film?
