Watch Hero Nara Rohit Exclusive Interview | Balakrishnudu Movie
Why These Two Want To Crush Akhil?
No matter how much craze you have as a star-kid, that defines only First Day openings. From next day, it is the content that should pull audiences to theatres. ‘Akhil’ is one of the biggest examples we could look at.
Taking long gap post his debut, youngster Akhil Akkineni is now coming up with “Hello” under Vikram K Kumar’s direction. While the release plan for this film is to hit cinemas on December 22nd, a lucky date for Nagarjuna, here comes the competitors for this one-film-old hero.
Actually, it is Dil Raju’s MCA aka Middle Class Abbayi featuring Nani and Sai Pallavi that is targeting same time. Despite various pleas from distributors we hear that Raju is keen to go ahead with December 23rd date. Now, youngster Allu Sirish’s “Oka Kshanam” directed by VI Anand is also locking horns on 23rd only.
In the wake of Christmas holidays providing a long weekend, we hear that many makers are keen to come up with a release in last week of other films. But if everyone is pitting their film against Akhil, surely the Akkineni youngster might get crushed.
Dil Raju Rejected, Gopi Signed
Apparently a commercial script narrated by debutante Chakri has been reportedly turned down by Dil Raju and it has now landed up in the hands of producer Radha Mohan. This will have hero Gopichand as the protagonist. Industry sources say that Gopi and Radha Mohan have given their nod to work with the newcomer.
Even after burning his hands with films such as Goutham Nanda and Soukhyam, Gopi has agreed to take up this commercial film. By this, Gopi is taking a huge risk given that this film is very crucial for his career at this juncture.
This is not all. The script reportedly requires big budget due to its large span. Considering Gopi’s recent track record (Gopi’s last hit is Loukyam in 2014), even this looks a risky decision.
However, Gopi is quite confident of pulling through. So, let’s hope the action hero will be back with a bang.
Why Bunny Rejected That Second?
Okka Kshanam alias One Second is the latest film featuring Allu Sirish, Surbhi and Seerat Kapoor in the leads. Already the news was broken by us that the film will hit cinemas on December 23rd, celebrating Christmas eve.
Directed by VI Anand, the first look poster of this Okka Kshanam created an intriguing impact. The logo-look poster has the background of a road with yellow painted marks on it. And then, all the matchsticks are burnt out and thrown on the ground while two are still there unburnt. And Sirish says the concept and the suspense about it are worth waiting.
Earlier some rumors suggested that Bunny has rejected this story of VI Anand and sent it to his brother as an obligation. However, it looks like Sirish made the most of the opportunity and finally came with a proper movie to make proper box office debut as dependable hero.
Whether Allu Arjun’s decision to leave off this story is right or suggesting his brother for the story is a good idea, is something we would know after the film’s release.
Finally, A Big Relief For Vijay!
Vijay might have been a top star in Tamil, but he was still struggling to make inroads into Telugu. At last, he seems to have cracked it.
With Adhirindi (the Telugu-dubbed Mersal), Vijay established certain base in Telugu. The film which released on Nov 9 in Telugu after several delays finally raked in a distributor share of Rs 6 Crore. Certainly, this is a welcome sign for Vijay.
The film became popular for the dialogues on GST which invited unwanted controversy. While it helped Mersal to become Vijay’s biggest lifetime grosser as the film earned Rs 115 Crore world-wide share, the Telugu version got another Rs 6 Crore share.
Trade talk is that Vijay’s market in Telugu right now is Rs 5 Crore. And this may help his next film to bag the fancy amount from buyers. But the moot question remains that can Vijay repeat the same feat at the BO with his next ? That we need to wait and see.
Why Chiru Visited Bobby’s House on JLK Release Day?
Director Bobby, who showcased NTR’s villainy in ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, has recently revealed that Megastar Chiranjeevi had visited his house on the day the NTR-starrer hit screens.
Narrating the happenings in a recent interview, Bobby revealed, ‘I am a huge fan of Megastar, and my father is even a bigger fan. In my childhood, he used to take me to all films of Chiru. A few months ago, when his health got deteriorated, he called me one day, and asked me if I could take him to meet Megastar.
I was moved at his request, and I really wanted to fulfill his wish, but I felt I hadn’t yet got the stature to ask Megastar that favor. I told director VV Vinayak about it, since he is close to Megastar. Within half an hour, he called me back, and said that Megastar will come to my house. I didn’t want to give him that strain, so I requested Vinayak that my father and I would instead visit Megastar’s house.
Chiru sir however didn’t want to strain my ailing father, so he came all the way to my house, exactly on the day ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ hit screens. And, he spent two hours at our home, it was the biggest gift I have even given to my father.’
Rajamouli-Charan-Tarak Pic: Gay Culture?
The moment Rajamouli shared that picture, there are critics from fanbases of both Ram Charan and NTR as we could notice in the comments that followed Jakkanna’s tweet.
While some NTR fans stated that he should have picked the likes of a Surya or Nani for a multi-starrer, Ram Charan fans asked the mega hero why he’s not pairing with either Varun Tej or Sai Dharam.
All said and done, both Tarak and Charan look fantastic as co-stars and if we have to believe Rajamouli’s work, then it will be a top-notch output for sure. And then, we have Ram Gopal Varma taking a dig at the picture in his own style.
“Being an ardent worshipper of women I strongly condemn such blatant promotion of gay culture”, RGV commented, through his Instagram page. Is Varma thinking that three guys posing for a camera with some display of affection are gay? Seriously he needs some treatment.
Bigg Boss Winner, Box Office Loser
After winning the Bigg Boss season-1 title, media has blown up Siva Balaji out of the proportion. There have been enormous interviews of him, coverage on his birthday bash and every small news of him was covered prominently. At a stage, many thought that Siva Balaji has really got the craze. There was talk that Pawan Kalyan fans stood by him.
But all that proved to be just gimmick as in reality Bigg Boss craze has not really translated into his fan base. Going by the BO figures for his just released film Snehame Ra Jeevitham, it is clear that it is all ‘Vaapu’ but not ‘Balam’ (his real strength).
Snehame Ra Jeevitham is Balaji’s first film after Bigg Boss show and not many are aware that this is his maiden production venture. Yet it has not been received well. There was also talk that Balaji has used his ‘influence’ for theatres. But looks like, nothing really helped the film. Bland promotions of the film are also reason for its bad result. Hope he would correct this and do well in near future.
Chiru Brings In 200 English Men
The shooting of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus “Sye Raa” is getting postponed frequently as the unit is treading the uncompromising path. They are making sure everything is in realistic right from the sets to people to recreate the pre-independence era.
Afresh, we hear that 200 junior artists from Britain are being brought in to Hyderabad to take part in the shooting of Sye Raa. As the film is the story of Telugu freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, and that it takes place in the 19th century when India was in the control of Britain, nearly 200 Englishmen are being specially roped in from the European country. This is an indicator of on what scale the film is going to be made.
Ram Charan is said to be pumping in nearly Rs 200 Cr on this prestigious film. Renowned actors and technicians such as Amitabh Bachchan, AR Rahman, Nayanthara, Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Ratnavelu etc. are working under Surender Reddy to make Sye Raa as the next Baahubali of Telugu cinema.
