Just popularity not enough for politics, Prakash tells actors
Actor-filmmaker Prakash Raj on Sunday said actors should not take to politics only because they are popular and said fans should vote not as fans but as responsible citizens.
Prakash tweeted: “Actors should not come into politics only because they are popular. It is a disaster.
“They should come with a clear perception of the issues facing the country and win the trust of the people. And we should not vote as fans, but as responsible citizens.”
Why is Naidu silent on Jagan’s challenge?
YSR Congress party on Sunday demanded that TDP president and AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu quit his post as he was unable to prove the charges against YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the presence of latter’s name in Paradise Papers leak.
Party MLA Buggana Rajendernath Reddy said Naidu had backtracked on accepting the challenge of Jagan on proving the latter’s connections with Paradise Papers.
“Instead, he has unleashed false false propaganda quoting some newspaper clippings which cannot stand the scrutiny of any measure. Being in the government they can bring out authentic documents but they are evading that as what they are telling is a pack of lies,” Reddy said.
As Naidu could not prove the charges levelled against our leader Jagan, he has to quit the office and a corrupt person cannot speak of morals and the serious charges he has been facing right from the cash for vote case, he has no moral right to speak about corruption.
The linkage of our leader through a person, whose name figures in the list has no relevance as he is known to Congress leader Chiranjeevi and film star Akkineni Nagarjuna as well and the association with a person cannot be read as being involved in the alleged issue.
When one of the director’s name of Heritage Foods, the company run by Chandrababu Naidu family, appeared in the Panama Papers there was no reaction from the Chief Minister who ran away from the city after he was named in the cash for vote case and started staying in a house which has no permission and was built illegally.
Finance Minister Yamala Ramakrishnudu has been speaking without any coherence and it was former TDP MLA Revanth Reddy who categorically said that Yanamala’s kin has contracts of over Rs 2,000 crores in Telangana state, Reddy said.
NTR Biopic Faces First Hurdle
The much controversial matinee idol NT Rama Rao’s biopic – “Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham” shooting has been obstructed by police on the first day only.
Full arrangements were made to shoot the film at NTR Ghat near Hussainsagar Lake in Hyderabad on Sunday morning. Before capturing first shot, police entered the scene and asked Director Kethireddy Jagadeeswar Reddy to wind up shooting on the grounds that the production unit did not seek any permission to shoot in the historical Ghat.
As the director failed to furnish required permission letter from the government, the production crew packed shooting equipment and left the place. The film, being produced by G Vijaykumar Goud, received strong opposition from NTR wife Laxmi Parvathi. She alleged that the film script distorted the facts and showing her in bad light.

An interesting development has taken place on the sixth day of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Padayatra in Proddutur town. The party MLA from Proddutur Assembly Constituency R Prasad Reddy staged dharna against Jagan yatra.
Reddy said he was not invited to meet Jagan and his followers are also not allowed to have a meeting with YSR Congress Chief during his night stay in the town. The MLA along with his supporters staged a dharna and demanded to permit them to meet Jagan. They also took out protest rally parallel to Jagan yatra for some time.
Sensing the dharna will send a wrong a message, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy swung into action and convinced the MLA and his supporters.

Young Director Angry on Sree Vishnu
Sree Vishnu these days has cemented his position as a bankable actor. Post Appatlo Okadundevadu and recent Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi, Vishnu is choosy as he only opts for roles with substance. Apparently, he got many offers earlier, but has signed only a few. Not many know that he had willingly lost Samanthakamani. This has come out a bit late.
When he was approached for multi-starrer Samanthakamani which also has his friend Nara Rohith, Vishnu reportedly turned down the offer citing that it wasn’t etched well. Apparently, this said to have invited anger of the film’s director then. However, Vishnu had stuck to his decision which is later proved to be right as the film failed to work at the BO despite having four known actors.
Now Vishnu is gearing up with his next Mental Madhilo, from the makers of Pelli Choopulu. This film is releasing on Nov 24. So, one has to wait and see whether Vishnu would click as a solo actor or not.
How Revanth’s Follower Joined TRS?
In a major shock to Revanth Reddy, his staunch supporter, follower Kancharla Bhupal Reddy has joined TRS. Many thought that Bhupal Reddy would join Congress along with Revanth Reddy in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Bhupal’s name was featured in the list Revanth submitted to Rahul that his supporters would join Congress along with him. In fact, Bhupal Reddy had accompanied Revanth when the latter met Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati to say his good-bye to party.
In between, what happened is the story that is worrying many TDP leaders and Congress leaders. Apparently, Kancharla Bhupal Reddy is expecting a ticket from Nalgonda Assembly seat which Revanth couldn’t give him a promise.
Since Komati Reddy brothers are strong in Nalgonda from Congress and Komatireddy Venkatreddy is a sitting MLA who won over five times, it is highly unlikely that Kancharla Bhupal Reddy would be given ticket in the place of Komatireddy.
Whereas TRS has cashed in on this situation on time. CM KCR has directed Nalgonda district TRS leaders and Nalgonda TRS MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy to join Kancharla Bhupal Reddy. With all necessary promises from TRS along with a promise of offering ticket in the next general elections, Kancharla Bhupal Reddy has changed his mind in the last minute.
Bhupal has skipped to go to Delhi along with Revanth. Instead, he stayed here and held deliberations with TRS. The final outcome is that Bhupal joined TRS which is now a dead-against to Revanth.
Bhupal has good following in people. He has support from masses. He had successfully drawn public for Revanth Reddy’s Padayatra since then he has become so close to Revanth. However, now, both are two poles apart politically.
5 Days On, Jagan Suffers From Back Pain
Just five days into his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan is suffering from back pain. Jagan, who began his Padayatra on Nov 6, has been suffering from back pain. A team of physiotherapists have treated Jagan’s back pain and advised him to wear a belt. Even as there is no relief from pain, Jagan resumed the yatra.
Four days after the yarta, Jagan took a break on Friday and attended the CBI Court in Disproportionate Assets case. He restrated the yatra from Saturday. Apparently, a team of physio is traveling along with Jagan for his safety.
YSRCP leaders, party workers are said to be worried over Jagan’s health as he has to go a long way in order to reach his goal of doing 3000-km Padayatra in a stretch of six months. Jagan’s yatra is just six-day-old and he has to do it for six months to complete the yatra. So there are many doubts surrounding his yatra.
Sr Hero Talks About Trisha Bathing Clip
A fake clip circulated in media circles and the then newly born TV Channel made the best of it. Though that clip and the news is out of video sharing websites like YouTube as those sites aren’t there then, other day hero Rajasekhar spoke about it.
Expressing his discontent over the way news is being created and rumors are spread by few media and web folks, this senior hero felt that people should have self-introspection before writing such stuff. “Trisha’s bathing clip or Tara Choudary news, or rumors on Rashmi, they are all created for views and money. I myself suffered from many such fake stories” he says.
Adding more, along with his wife Jeevitha, he opined, “There should be laws to take stringent action against people (media houses) who spread such false news to make money out of it. At the same time, Jeevitha added, “It is better to collect coins thrown on the corpse for those guys rather biting the dust for money in this way”.
Looks like Rajsekhar and Jeevitha are quite upset with the way some media houses are functioning. We have to see if rumor mills will pay attention to them.
