Megastar’s Response to His Name in Paradise Papers
In the wake of his name appearing in the ‘Paradise Papers’ leak, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has penned an emotional blog, saying that his name is being misused, and that he and his family members are being humiliated time and again.
Paradise Papers is the latest leak of financial documents by a collective of international journalists, that could expose the secretly hoarded wealth of hundreds of Indians, to evade taxes.
The 72-year-old actor wrote in his blog post, ‘At this age and time of my life, I seek peace and freedom from prominence. To be left to lead the last few years of my life with and within myself.’
He wrote that he has been facing allegations and accusations time and again, and that while he made attempts to clear the speculations on occasions, he chose to keep dignified silence at times. He cited past examples such as the Panama Papers leak, Bofors Scandal, illegal construction rumors etc. when he and his family members had to go through humiliation for years.
‘We were grilled, declared traitors, abused and humiliated for several years,’ Bachchan wrote. He rued that despite he has denied the allegations on numerous occasions, media continues to question him based on the rumors.
Hollywood Lovers Not Amused By Garudavega?
Generally, some audiences and super-educated critics boast a lot about Hollywood movies and their content. But when ‘Garudavega’ is made on similar lines, why some critics and Hollywood are not amused by it?
Though common audiences like the film well, despite the fact that some episodes like hacking and plutonium ore are pretty not easily understandable, some film buffs have complaints. They say that the whole chase scenes, NIA room techno-research scenes, hacking episodes and the way bomb squads and investigation teams looked; it resembles more of ‘The Bourne’ series of movies, they say. That opening Dam Sequence is like the one we have seen in James Bond film ‘Golden Eye’, some commented.
Frankly speaking, the way shots are edited in action scenes and how those investing scenes are crafted, they surely have that inspiration. But everything investigating agency’s digital research and finding center looks pretty same know? And to inspire is not wrong either.
Few film lovers, however, say that the film’s narrative is good but it is far from reality as we don’t have any such special NIA teams and such actively working CC cameras and also hackers. That’s it folks, no complaints!
Mahesh Wants Sukumar, Producer Wants Boyapati?
Superstar Mahesh Babu, who is currently busy shooting for Koratala Siva’s “Bharat Ane Nenu”, #Mahesh24, is setting up an enviable line up of directors for his next films. Vamsi Paidipally and Trivikram are already finalized for Mahesh25 & Mahesh26 respectively. Now, the superstar has to choose between mass director Boyapati Sreenu and creative director Sukumar for his 27th film.
Reports emerged recently that Mahesh would work with Boyapati for an action entertainer to be produced by 14 Reels, the production house which did 3 back to back films with Mahesh – Dookudu, Nenokkadine and Aagadu. Both Mahesh and 14 Reels were impressed with the story line narrated by Boyapati, and the project seemed well on course.
Then enters Sukumar, with a novel story line, which stole the heart of Mahesh. Sources have divulged that Mahesh is inclined to work with Sukumar than Boyapati as the story narrated by the former impressed him more. 14 Reels makers however are inclined towards Boyapati. They had earlier worked with him for Balayya’s “Legend”, and have immense confidence in him.
Sources further revealed that 14 Reels makers have informed Mahesh about their apprehensions of materializing Mahesh-Sukumar-14 Reels combo which had earlier resulted in a huge disaster, “Nenokkadine”. Mahesh understood their concern, but he is unwilling to let go Sukumar’s story. The superstar will have to make a tough call indeed.

Exact Opposite to Arjun Reddy?
Young hero Vijay Devarakonda, who essayed the character of an obsessive lover in his last film, “Arjun Reddy”, is playing a completely contrasting character in his next film.
Devarakonda has teamed up with Geetha Arts for a film being directed by Parasuram of ‘Srirasthu Subhamasthu’ fame. Touted to be a love story, the film has Kannada sensation Rashmika Mandanna as female lead. In this film, Vijay reportedly plays the role of a young guy, a very subtle character, who is disinterested in the heroine, who on the other hand loves him unconditionally, and doesn’t shy away from expressing her feelings for him.
The character is completely opposite to the one he had played in “Arjun Reddy”, an obsessive, passionate and intense lover who decides the heroine as his eternal partner just at the first sight of her. He would go to any extreme for her.
Devarakonda has scored a huge blockbuster with ‘Arjun Reddy’ where he unleashed his violent and intense side, can he win box office in a completely contrasting avatar?
Bhaagmathie First Look : Anushka Gives Goosebumps
Anushka Shetty’s look in Bhaagmathie is giving goosebumps. Standing against a huge wall – which looks old, ancient, Bhaagmathie has blood stains on her left hand whereas she holds a hammer in her right hand. She looks injured, tired with various injury marks on her face, body. Bhaagmathie looks as if she was crucified. Bhaagmathie appears to have nailed on her left hand like how Christ was crucified to a cross. In the backdrop, one can see a woman’s legs tied with the chains. This whole look of Anushka from Bhaagmathie indicates that it a powerful and strong role like her Devasena from epic Baahubali.
Made with over 30 Crore budget, the film is touted to be a horror-thriller that is being simultaneously made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Ashok, of Pilla Zamindar fame, has wielded the megaphone. The film is being produced by UV Creations. While Madhie has cranked the camera, SS Thaman has rendered the music.
Jagan’s self-goal with 2 Promises
A day on which Paradise Papers named YS Jagan linking to off-shore tax haven, Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused TDP government of doing ‘high-level’ corruption. Indicating that he is dead-against to corruption, Jagan has stated that he would put all corrupt behind the bars if he is voted to power.
Jagan, who started his Praja Sankalpa Yatra today at Idupulapaya, spoke at length where he alleged that Janmabhoomi committees in villages turned into gang of thieves.
Jagan has alleged that TDP had spent over Rs 200 Crore in by-elections and won. He challenged Chandrababu to contest in 20-other constituencies and win against his party.
Liquor Ban
That is not all. Jagan even stated that he would like to ban liquor. He said that he has gumption to ban liquor.
PS:
Jagan’s comments on both corruption and liquor ban are evoking laughs from political analysts. While he himself is deeply engrossed with the allegations of corruption, money laundering, linked to off-shore tax havens and battling with several cases by CBI, Enforcement Directorate, Jagan’s promises on corruption are certainly not winning the trust of people.
On other-hand, liquor ban is a wrong promise at this juncture as the new state of AP is in acute financial crisis. Ban on liquor would further push the state into debts and hence, no government would dare to take such step in AP.
However, in a complete contrary, Jagan has expressed his wish to ban to liquor. Looks like, Jagan courted a self-goal given that this would not even accepted by people who consume alcohol.

Record Satellite Deal for Rangasthalam!
Mega power star Ram Charan’s upcoming film, “Rangasthalam” is doing solid non-theatrical pre-release business, even though not even the first look has been unveiled yet.
As per the latest reports, a leading Hindi entertainment channel has acquired the Hindi dubbing rights of Rangasthalam for a whopping Rs 10.50 Cr. The key factors for this huge price could be Charan’s popularity in North and the craze for Telugu movies in post-Baahubali era. The Hindi dubbing rights of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film, NTR’s “Jai Lava Kusa” and Bunny’s “DJ” were also sold in the range of Rs 10-11 Cr only.
“Rangasthalam” however dominated the other biggies when it comes to Telugu satellite rights. The Telugu telecast rights of this Sukumar directorial were reportedly sold for Rs 18 Cr, which is the second best non-Baahubali price, after Pawan-Trivikram film, which fetched Rs 21 Cr.
Besides, Rangasthalam fetched another Rs 2 Cr to producers in lieu of digital rights, which were sold to Amazon Prime Video.
Overall, Rangasthalam’s pre-release business is commendable considering the film’s genre is not Charan’s forte. The film is tentatively scheduled to hit screens in March, 2018.
