After Sunny Leone, another popular porn star is gearing up to seek a career in the Indian mainstream film industry.

Reports suggest that former adult star Mia Khalifa is ready to enter the Indian film industry with a Malayalam film titled “Chunkzz 2: The Conclusion”, a sequel to the successful adult comedy film “Chunkzz”. The film’s director has reportedly confirmed that Mia would play a key role in his film besides dancing in an item song.

The director further said that Chunkzz 2: The Conclusion will start rolling from May 2018, and he exuded confidence in establishing Mia as a bigger star than Sunny Leone in India through his film.

Mia Khalifa is one of the most popular adult film stars around the globe. She has recently quit her successful career in porn industry, and is currently working as a journalist hosting a sports show for a YouTube Channel.

Fans expect that Mia can give a tough competition to Sunny Leone since both come from same background.

Natural star Nani, who charges about one third of what star heroes charge per a film, however earns on par with them if we take the annual earnings into account.

For the past two years, Nani is making sure to have at least three releases in a calendar year. And, needless to say that he is scoring hit after hit. In 2016, he had Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gatha, Gentleman and Majnu. This year, he scored hits with Nenu Local, Ninnu Kori and his third film, ‘MCA’ is slated to hit screens in December. Next year, he has lined up Meralapaka Gandhi’s “Krishnarjuna Yuddham”, which is likely to hit screens in March, and a film each with Kishore Tirumala and Vikram Kumar, both likely to release in 2018 itself.

So ‘3 films per year’ formula is working quite well for Nani, both success-wise and financially. He reportedly charges Rs 5-6 Cr per a film, and if we multiply the remuneration by 3, his annual earnings stand 15-18 Cr. In comparison, our star heroes do only one film a year and pockets more or less the same amount that Nani earns from 3 films.

No mid-range hero except Nani comes close to star heroes in annual earnings. The actor’s success formula is offer freshness, ensure entertainment be it in the form of comedy or romance or thrills, don’t stick to one genre, and prefer script over top names.

Ever since MLA Revanth Reddy signaled that he’ll join Congress, all media and political pundits are abuzz about him. And now, the most controversial director Ram Gopal Varma joined the list to comment on former TDP leader. Calling him ‘Baahubali’, RGV expressed his happiness over Reddy joining Congress.

The decision of Superstar Rajinikanth’s “2.0” makers to push the release date from January 2018 to April month, is creating a stir in South film industry. The release dates of several biggies are likely to see major changes, including of Rajini’s own film, “Kaala”.

Earlier, “Kaala” was slated to release on April 13, 2018, on the eve of Tamil New Year. The date has now been taken by “2.0”. Following this, the makers of Kaala are now looking for an alternative date, while keeping in mind that they have to maintain at least 3 months gap between the release dates.

Predictably, rumors started circulating that Kaala will advance to January, to take the slot vacated by “2.0”. The rumors spread so fast that Dhanush, who is bankrolling “Kaala” had to clarify that their film would not make it to theatres in January. If not January, Kaala will have to move to July or August 2018 at least, a burden on the producer.

On a related note, the release dates of Tollywood biggies “Bharat Ane Nenu”, ‘Na Peru Surya” and “Rangasthalam” might also be affected with “2.0” joining summer season. Either of BAN and NPS might shift to May, and Rangasthalam is likely to advance to March end.

Actor Venkatesh’s eldest daughter Ashritha Daggubati is foraying into biscuit business. Ashritha has honed her culinary skills by doing a professional course and finally became a baker. The latest is that she decided to take her interest forward and she is soon going to start her cookies business. Apparently, she is manufacturing cookies with the help of a few and is now planning to sell them to people and retail outlets.

It is a season of politics. Many popular stars from film industry are making a beeline to start their political parties while a few others are contemplating to join the political parties of their wish.

While Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Rajinikanth’s names are strongly heard in Tamil Nadu that they would take up political plunge and Pawan Kalyan has already started his Janasena Party, it is turn of Kannada superstar Upendra who started his own political outfit. Earlier in August, Upendra had made an announcement about his political party. After two months, he has started his political party in Bengaluru’s Gandhi Bhavan. His political party is called Karnataka Pragnavantha Janatha Paksha.

During the inauguration, Upendra has given an open call to ‘interested’ people to join him, he said to have stated that he would give top priority to transparency. He said that his party would be people-centric and strives to bring change in society.

“I have just created a platform for you. Those who are passionate about the cause can join me. It has always been my dream to make a change. Our work towards helping create a better society is important. Not the person who is working towards it. The goal is bigger than individuals and the goal is what matters,” Upasana was quoted as saying by local media.

Which is the longest chase sequence ever that has featured in an Indian film? Cinephiles may come up with different answers, but all of them will be erased from record books very soon as the makers of Prabhas’ “Saaho” are gearing up to shoot a 20 minute-long chase sequence, the longest to feature in an Indian film, in Dubai.

The film’s next schedule will kick-start in the UAE very soon, where the unit has planned this spectacular chase sequence. It will involve the use of several bikes, cars and other vehicles, and it will be performed under the supervision of Hollywood action choreographer Kenny Bates, who is known for his exemplary work in Hollywood blockbusters such as Transformers, Mission Impossible, Rush Hour and Die Hard. Prabhas will undergo intense cardiovascular training, weight training, and plyometric obstacle races to prep up for the shoot of this adrenaline pumping chase sequence.

Though permissions are yet to be procured, the makers wish to shoot a major part of this sequence at the Burj Khalifa. They opine that the city’s skyscrapers make it the perfect backdrop for shooting some key chase sequences since “Saaho” is a futuristic action entertainer. If they fail to procure permission to film at the iconic tower, they have already zeroed in an alternative, Abu Dhabi’s renowned World Trade Center and Etihad Tower, to film the sequence.

A prelude to the chase sequence has already been shot in Hyderabad in the last schedule. As director Sujeeth wants to retain continuity, he has planned to kick off the shooting of this lengthy sequence within two weeks. Considering that it’s an outdoor shoot, and it will be difficult to keep Prabhas’ look under wraps, makers have planned to shoot an extended portion of this chase sequence in remote sections of Abu Dhabi.

Young tiger NTR, who is riding high on the success of back to back hits, is prepping up for the biggest film of his career yet, NTR28. The actor will be sporting never seen before look in this Trivikram directorial.

More often than not NTR is seen sporting beard in films. In his new film however, he will sport a clean shaven look. His new look will be similar to the one that he sported in “Brindavanam”, without moustache and beard, but this time, more stylish, lean and fit.

During the promotions of Jai Lava Kusa, NTR himself divulged that he had a certain look in his mind and that he will do whatever it is necessary to get that never seen before look. He sort of confirmed that he will be undergoing rigorous fitness regimes and therapies during his Europe vacation in order to get the new look.

The regular shooting of NTR28 is expected to commence in January end or February next year.
