At Last, Mersal Releasing in Telugu
At last, the Telugu dubbed version of Vijay-starrer Mersal – Adhirindi – is releasing on November 9. After witnessing several release dates, the film is finally going to release on November 9. The sources in the know have confirmed the development.
While the film was initially supposed to release for Diwali along with the original version Mersal on October 18, it got delayed as the film’s Censor certificate for the dubbed version has been held for long.
The original Mersal embroiled in a major controversy over its alleged satires on government’s key decisions such as Demonetisation and GST. Allegedly, this is behind the delay of the Telugu version as Censor Board is reportedly in a confusion whether to pass the dubbed version after the original stroked a controversy.
Finally, the film is gearing up for release in Telugu next week (Nov 9). It has to be seen how the film would fare in Telugu given that the film was the highest-grossing Tamil film (till date).
Despite a flop, Aadhi says he’ll do such films
Actor Aadhi Sai Kumar, who had a bad run with his previous releases, is coming again with ‘Next Nuvve’ on 3rd November. The actor speaking about his new release, said that it’s a concept based live story where I play a serial director, who aims to become SS Rajamouli. The film will have Brahmaji through out the film, apart from me, and he plays a prominent role.
Speaking about the new-age stories and his choices, the young actor said, ‘my last flim Shamantakamani which’s multi starrer also was a concept based story. Although it didn’t do as planned, I will continue to be part of such new-age films in future as well.’ When Aadhi was asked whether he would be part of further multi starrer films in the days to come, he said ‘yes’ without any hesitance.
‘Next Nuvve’, a remake of super hit Tamil horror comedy ‘Yaamirukka Bayamey’, has Vaibhavi Shandilya and Rashmi Gautam as leading ladies. On the work front, Aadhi finished shooting 75% of his upcoming film which is being directed by a newcomer Vishwanath.
Kajal And Tamanna’s Honeymoon Started
Both the senior starlets are yet to get married, but they have started their honeymoon already. And if you could notice that mehendi on the hands of these two hotties, there is no denying that their marriage is over.
Currently, Tollywood’s most celebrated hotties Kajal Agarwal and Tamanna Bhatia are enjoying their time at the French Riveria. Did they go for a joint tour, taking a break from work? No, not at all!
Like it is being said from a long time already, both Kajal’s Paris Paris and Tamanna’s Telugu film are being shot at the same place. To be more specific, yes, both these girls are shooting for ‘Queen’ remake in Tamil and Telugu at the same place, near the city of Nice, France. Enjoying the stay at Villa La Maresque they are said to be having a gala time.
In case if you’re wondering, why that Mehendi on hands, the film is about a girl who goes to honeymoon even after her marriage gets halted hours before the wedding. She goes to the honeymoon all alone and then discovers herself. While Tamanna shared her mehendi pic before she landed in Nice in an airplane, Kajal has flaunted her hot curves in a white spaghetti and jeans.
And, Kannada ‘Queen’ heroine Parul Yadav also wore mehendi and landed in Nice along with Tamanna. Yes, she too with Mehendi, and for a honeymoon.
Interval Talk: Karan Johar Reminds Us Of Bunny!!
Recently while promoting his latest production venture Ittefaaq, producer-director Karan Johar made some interesting comments. When someone questioned why films like this, which deal with thriller and suspense genre, are not encouraged by Bollywood much, Karan told this way.
‘8 out of 10 films do suffer post the interval and end up the disastrous box office. This is all because we have to rebuild all that momentum built in the first half again in the second half and that’s where many go wrong. Especially in thriller movies, if you give 10 minutes break, the momentum is lost. You may fail to rebuild it. I’ve to say Interval is the real culprit’ says Karan Johar.
And then, why this talk reminds anyone Allu Arjun? Because recently this mega-hero has highlighted this interval thing from the other side of the rainbow. While promoting DJ Duvvada Jagannadham, Bunny stated that South Indian films are great because our films will have this thing called ‘interval’ which no other films in the world have. So, Karan thinks interval is the culprit, and Bunny feels that we’re great because we are dealing that dangerous interval.
Well, but in reality, is interval along the real culprit? And what about the cliched characterizations, stories, and flawed screenplays. That’s another debate anyway!!
Pic: Then & Now, Virat & Nehra
Here is the classic ‘Then and Now’ picture of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli, who had once received an award from Nehra when the former was young, is now seen giving a befitting farewell to Nehra.
Nehra, who is retiring from all forms of cricket, got a grand farewell as India thrashed New Zealand by a record 53 runs. Interestingly, this is India’s first T20 victory against New Zealand. India has outwitted Kiwis in all three areas – batting, bowling and fielding. Thus it became a historic moment too. Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi became the witness for this great cricket.
After the match, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan carried Nehra on their shoulders and gave him a perfect send-off.
Speaking about Nehra’s retirement, Kohli said he knows how hard Nehra had worked and he deserved this kind of farewell with crowd cheering for him.

Lyricist Says #MeToo, Accuses Lady Director
The whole of tinsel towns around the globe is getting shaken with Hollywood’s big producer Harvey Weinstein episode. And then, this campaign called #MeToo started on social networks, with various celebs and other women revealing the sexual harassment they faced.
Joining this tirade, now popular lady lyricist Sreshta revealed how she got forced by a Lady Director to come to a party. In an interview given to international Telugu channel BBC Telugu, Sreshta revealed that a lady director for whose movie she wrote lyrics persuaded her to come to Goa for partying. Sreshta revealed that the lady director told her that a guy wants to propose to her.
‘Later that so-called guy whom I never met has called me and told that Lady Director herself offered me to him. Also, he said that as I came to industry, I am prepared for any such acts. I threatened with police case and then distanced from the film industry for years’, said Sreshta. Later she also added about a producer’s wife who asked her to cooperate with her husband.
This lyricst wrote for films like Ko Ante Koti and Jabardasth, and then she got her major break with PelliChoopulu and Arjun Reddy. Sreshta says, ‘Giving my response for #MeToo at least alerts others. Also in the film industry, not just guys, but women are also enemies to women’.
