Success and failure is part and parcel of any person’s career. Coming to actors, most will go on and on while talking about their hits but don’t like to even mention the name of their flop films. Young hero Ram however proves to be different. He reportedly admits that he has one of the worst success rates among Tollywood heroes. Ram has so far had 14 releases, and only one third of them became hits.

During a promotional interview of his upcoming film, ‘Vunnadi Okate Zindagi’, the actor didn’t hesitate to admit that his success rate is pretty poor. He claims to have learnt lessons from the failures, and exuded confidence in scoring a hit with his new film.

‘Vunnadi Okate Zindagi is a special film in my career. It gave me immense satisfaction as an artiste. My director Kishore Tirumala has filmed exactly as he had narrated the script to me, and I am completely impressed with his work. This film will be another hit in our combination,’ Ram said.

Ram had earlier teamed up with Tirumala for ‘Nenu Sailaja’, which became a super hit at box office. His uncle Sravanthi Ravikishore, who bankrolled that film, has produced VOK as well. Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for both these films. Anupama Parameswaran and Lavanya Tripathi have played the female leads in VOK, which is scheduled to hit screen this Friday.

Several filmmakers have realized the contribution of promotions in the success of films and are keeping aside a hefty part specifically to aggressively promote their films. The producer of hero Ram’s upcoming film ‘Vunnadi Okate Zindagi’ however seems to be going lethargic on promotional front, which could hurt this promising film at box office.

A second film from the combination which had earlier delivered a hit always generate sizable buzz for itself. However, one can’t rely only on that factor and must deploy full efforts to intensify that buzz.

VOK is directed by Kishore Tirumala who last year made a hit film ‘Nenu Sailaja’ starring Ram. The interesting trailer and the successful combination have generated buzz for the film. They however may not be enough to attract audience to theatres considering Ram’s not-so reliable track record.

The team of VOK is surprisingly keeping very low-profile on promotional front instead of going aggressively. The film is very important for both Ram’s career and Sravanthi movies banner owned by the actor’s uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, and so it is expected of them to go all out as the release date is just a few days away, this Friday.

Ravi Teja’s “Raja The Great” showed tremendous hold even on its fourth day (Day 4 numbers were 85 percent of Day 3’s, which is a phenomenal hold), and collected a gross of 4.5 Cr, with a share of 2.82 Cr from the two Telugu states. The 4 days total gross stands at over Rs 24 Cr, with a distributor share of 15.73 Cr in the Telugu states.

At worldwide box office, the film rakes in a share of nearly 20 Cr and grossed approx 31 Cr by the end of it’s 4 days run.
