After Revanth, Motkupalli Troubles TDP!
After TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy made sensational comments against AP leaders of his own party, another Telangana Telugu Desam leader Mothkupalli Narasimhulu brought fresh trouble to the party with his political statements.
Taking U turn to his earlier stand on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TDP leader extolled the CM for introducing slew of developmental programmes. Narasimhulu also claimed he was close friend of KCR since 1986 in TDP. Till KCR quit the TDP, he maintained good rapport with the CM.
The TDP leader also made it clear that he is in favour of political partnership with TRS in the next elections in Telangana. His comments received strong criticism within the party as parry President N Chandrababu Naidu already instructed the leaders to maintain silence on poll alliances with other parties till 2019.
‘Raja The Great’ Troubling Common Man!
After two disasters like Kick-2 and Bengal Tiger, Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is back with yet another entertainer ‘Raja-The Great’, released on 18th October. But, a scene in film is turning out to be an embarrassment for a common man in Vishakapatnam’s Anandapuram village.

Going into the details, his contact number ’80******22′ is widely circulated among netizens after hero’s mother (in film) tells this random number to antagonist. So, assuming that it is Ravi Teja’s number, fans began to uninterruptedly call on this number to praise and wish him.
Annoyed with frequent phone calls, Gopi switched off his mobile and informed his friends about the episode that he’s faced. Ravi Teja and Mehrene starrer is running well in theaters and it is minting good mulah at box-office, all thanks to the long Diwali weekend.
Sye Raa’s Shoot Postponed to December
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ambitious period drama “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” which was launched amidst much fanfare in the month of August is facing initial hurdles. The film’s regular shoot has not yet commenced.
It was to begin on October 20, but now the makers have pushed the date to December. The reason cited is the change of key technicians in the crew.
Cinematographer Ravi Varman has already opted out from the film and Rathnavelu will be handling the camera now.
There was a talk that even A R Rahman has expressed his unwillingness to continue for this project, but Ram Charan went to Chennai and convinced him to stay back. He reportedly cleared all confusion about Thaman.
With fans and others congratulating Rahman for the background score done by Thaman, he is said to have felt bad. Now Ram Charan is said to have given word that Thaman will not interfere in the project.
These minor issues are being sorted out. So, the team is planning to get complete clarity before commencing the regular shoot. Taking all these into account, the team is now gearing up to commence shoot in December.
Who Brokered The ‘VELKAM’ Deal?
The latest buzzword doing rounds in the Telangana politics these days is ‘VELKAM,’ which sounds like ‘welcome.’
And the meaning of it is quite obvious: the new-found love between Velama and Kamma groups. To be more specific, it is the understanding between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Telugu Desam Party.
However, sources say it is not exactly a new-found love. Ever since TRS president and Telangana CM KCR dealt a master stroke on the TDP with the cash-for-vote scam two years ago and forced TDP president and AP CM Chandrababu to shift his base lock-stock-barrel to Vijayawada and Amaravati.
Since the episode, there had been a lot of backroom negotiations between the TDP and TRS leadership.
While it was Tummala Nageshwar Rao who operated from the TRS side, it was his close relative and TDP Rajya Sabha member Garikapati Mohan Rao who played a major role in the deliberations from the TRS side. Needless to say, Garikapati is also a Kamma and a close confidant of Naidu.
It was only after this deal that the TDP has decided against moving a petition in the court seeking disqualification of the defected MLAs.
The earlier petition filed by Errabelli Dayakar Rao became infructuous as the latter, too, joined the TRS. Though Revanth wanted to move a fresh petition, Naidu prevented him from doing so, say the sources.
Sources said as per the VELKAM deal, the TRS leadership reportedly offered 17 Assembly seats and two ministerial berths for TDP in 2019, besides Rajyasabha seat to Motkupalli Narsimhulu in 2018 and second Rajyasabha term to Garikapati Mohan Rao in 2020.
In return, the TDP will mobilise the Kamma voters in the Telangana in support of the TRS in the assembly elections.
This has angered Revanth Reddy and other Reddy community leaders of the TDP, who have been waging a war against the TRS.
Obviously, Revanth cannot keep silent if the TDP has an alliance with the TRS and hence, he has decided to join the Congress party.
Disha Patani replaces Shruti Haasan in ‘Sangamithra’
Actress Disha Patani has replaced Shruti Haasan as the lead in upcoming Tamil historic drama “Sangamithra”.
Disha took to Twitter on Saturday to share her excitement over the project.”Really very excited for ‘Sangamithra’. Can’t wait to start shooting for this wonderful film,” Disha tweeted.
Shruti earlier opted out of “Sangamithra” due to “unavoidable circumstances”.To be helmed by Sundar C. and produced by Sri Thenandal Films, the film will also be released in Telugu and Hindi.
The film, which will also star Jayam Ravi and Arya, will have music by A.R. Rahman.”Sangamithra” will start shooting in December.
Venky to pick a Nara Or Akkineni Hero
Victory Venkatesh is one of the most prominent actors of Telugu cinema. As years passed, the actor stepped away from regular commercial films and is keen on essaying roles that suit his age.

Top Stunt Director Works for PK’s Introduction
Well-known stunt director Ravi Varma has supervised the introduction scenes of Pawan Kalyan in his landmark film – PK 25 – directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Pawan’s intro scenes were recently wrapped up in a quick schedule in Bengaluru. The introduction scene said to have shaped well.
Apparently, Trivikram specially wanted Ravi Varma to direct the action scenes of Pawan’s intro in order to meet high expectations of fans. For beginners, the untitled film has already set a new precedent in terms of pre-release biz and shocked trade as huge money is at stake. While Pawan will be seen as a software engineer, Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emanuel are playing his romantic interests in this action entertainer laced with family elements.
Tentatively titled as Agnatavaasi, PSPK 25 is slated for Jan 10, 2018 release.

Raja The ‘Weak’ in Overseas
Not every film that performs exceptionally well in domestic market works in Overseas and vice-versa. The latest example for this is Ravi Teja’s ‘Raja The Great’.
Producer Dil Raju and team has already started celebrating the success of the film showcasing the film’s exemplary performance in the Telugu states and neighboring territories. But, what people are ignoring is the film’s weak show in US, where the film could so far pool just $200K even after registering Ravi Teja’s career highest gross from premieres. The average word of mouth has played spoilsport for the film’s prospects in overseas and led the film to take nosedive on the second day itself.
In local market however, the film is gaining from strength to strength. The release strategy especially, more than the content, helped the film at box office. The film was released on non-holiday, but decent collections were ensured since it was the opening day. The film made merry on the second day, which was Deepavali holiday. By putting up impressive show on the third day, Friday, and also indicating an exceptional Saturday and Sunday in store, Raja The Great is predicted to post humongous first weekend total.
The film has so far collected 13 Cr share from the Telugu states and 16 Cr overall. A 23-24 Cr first weekend looks well possible. The film reportedly needs to collect 32 Cr worldwide share to be called a safe venture.
Jawaan Release Date Locked
After numerous delays and some rumored reshoots, the release date of Sai Dharam Tej’s new film ‘Jawaan’ has finally been locked as December 1. The release date has been officially announced by Sai Dharam Tej himself.
