Uday Chopra, the younger son of the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra failed to make an impact in Bollywood despite of several attempts. He made his debut as an actor in Mohabbatein and he played a crucial role in all the instalments of Dhoom franchise. He was last seen in Dhoom 3 which released in 2013. He was spotted in a toned muscular look in the film.

He was last spotted with actress Nargis Fakhri five months ago with whom he was in a relationship. He looked completely fit and now he was spotted outside the house of Emraan Hashmi. The actor turned unrecognisable and surprised everyone in a flab and bulky look. Uday Chopra is completely out of shape and gained huge weight. After Niharika Konidela, another star daughter is gearing up to make her debut in Tollywood.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, daughter of senior Tamil hero Sarathkumar, has announced her debut film in Tollywood. Said to be a multilingual female-centric project, the film is titled “Shakthi” in Telugu. Rana Daggubati unveiled the first look poster of the film’s Telugu version. The first look suggests that the actress has undergone a complete makeover for the film.

The tagline – ‘Some fear fire..Some simply become it’ – suggests that the film will be an intense drama pegged to address contemporary issues faced by women. Shakthi will go on floors in this second half of this month and will reportedly have a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam in the first half of 2018.

Varalaxmi has thus far acted in 10-odd Tamil films but Shakthi is going to be her debut in Telugu film industry. The 32-year-old actress wishes to make her mark in Tollywood with this film, whose title is same as NTR Jr’s massive disaster, ‘Shakthi’.

After seeking the services of ace film director Rajamouli in finalizing Amaravati designs, AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has now brought on board mass director Boyapati Srinu for another prestigious task.

Reportedly, Boyapati was asked to assist the CRDA officials in developing Pavitra Sangamam (confluence of Krishna and Godavari rivers) near Vijayawada as a spiritual tourism spot and also with the designs for the proposed Lord Venkateshwara temple on the riverbank. The AP government aims to develop Pavitra Sangamam area as a tourism centre.

Last evening, the director met Naidu in a high-level meeting attended by the CRDA officials and made a presentation of his ideas. Boyapati has reportedly proposed to construct the temple with water flowing beneath it, a Dasavatharam-themed Gopuram. Chandrababu will take a call after discussing with senior sages.

Boyaoati is known to be very close to Chandrababu. The director was earlier entrusted by the AP CM with the job of making a documentary during Godavari Pushkarams.

Versatile actor and national award winner Prakash Raj essayed many interesting roles in his career. Of late, he is focusing completely on charity activities and is signing only selective films. He has been quite active on Twitter and revealing his political views upright.

However, his recent slamming of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the latter’s silence on senior lady journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder case has given rise to a new discussion. Though he made some confusing statements on award-wapsi, it looks like the talented actor want to venture into politics very soon.

Sources informed that Prakash Raj is quite interested to enter mainstream politics, but confused about the place he should begin his journey. Though he was born in Karnataka, the actor has not been active in the state’s films or politics. While he directed some Kannada films, that doesn’t make him a popular filmmaker over there. But he’s local boy in both Telugu and Tamil film arena for the kind of language fluency he has and the number of films he did. And he has also adopted Kondareddipalle village in Mahabubnagar District located in Telangana, which may make him more dearer towards Telugu politics.

With Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth already gearing up for political entry in Tamilnadu, Prakash Raj may test his luck in Telugu states, feels some analysts. But now that he has raked up Gauri Lankesh’s death issue, he may pick “Namma Kannada” sentiment as well. We have to wait and see for the actor’s official announcement.

Ever since Balakrishna announced that his son Mokshagna will make his acting debut in 2018, there have been several speculations that are doing the rounds.

And as per the latest Tollywood grapevine, Balakrishna is planning to don the hat of a producer. Balayya is contemplating to turn into a producer and produce Mokshagna’s debut.

Balayya is apparently scouting for ‘perfect’ script for Mokshagna’s launch. Interestingly, Balayya is looking for a simple love story bereft of high-octane action scenes and loud punch dialogues. Although Nandamuri fans expect Mokshagna to fight and mouth heavy-loaded punch liners, Balayya wants to keep it simple and safe for Mokshagna’s debut. Considering how Akhi’s debut bombed, Balayya don’t want to take any chances for Mokshu.

While the names of Rajamouli, Krish Jagarlamudi are considered, as of now, nothing has been confirmed. If all goes well, Balayya will co-produce the film in association with Sai Korrapati.

The political map of Tamil Nadu is likely to undergo a vast change in next few months as more and more cine stars are expressing interest to join politics claiming to bring stability in the perturbed state politics ever since the death of former CM Jayalalithaa.

Two senior actors and superstars of Tamil cinema – Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are already all set to float their own parties and thus take a plunge into active politics. Now, senior actress Suhasini has divulged her plans of joining politics.

Speaking at an event, she reportedly questioned – ‘Are heroes only eligible to enter politics?’. She added that Jayalalithaa had emerged as one of the most influential leaders of Tamil Nadu despite being a woman and that she can also live up if people bestow her with such responsibility.

With such heavy statements, Suhasini has announced her big political ambitions, say political analysts. They predict that she will contest the next elections.

Meanwhile, buzz is that Kamal Haasan will announce his new political party on November 7, on the eve of his 63rd birthday. The other day, he held discussions with his fans in this regard. On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s wife Latha has recently confirmed that her husband will soon make an announcement on his political plunge.

The long wait is over. Prabhas, who has been doing more action films off late, is finally going to do a pure love story.

It is learnt that the film is a complete love story without any action elements. After Mr Perfect in 2011, Prabhas has not done a romantic drama. And ending 7-yr-long wait, Prabhas up next film with Jil director Radha Krishna is going to be a different love story in which Prabhas will be seen as a lover boy.

If all goes well, this yet-to-be-titled film will start rolling in Jan 2018 or Feb 2018. What’s more? Prabhas will simultaneously work for both his ongoing Sahoo and this untitled film to be directed by Radha Krishna.

While Sahoo will unleash new action star in Prabhas boasting high-octane action scenes with world-class VFX, Radha Krishna’s film is a total youthful  romance. The other cast, crew details are yet to be locked in.
