The Kabir Khan Directorial about 1983 World Cup Indian Cricket Team is being produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri Founder of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and Phantom Films.

Ranveer Singh riding high on Padmavathi will play another real-life character of the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in one of his upcoming films based on 1983 world cup being directed by Kabir Khan which will go on floor during mid-2018. Kabir Khan recalls that he’s watched this memorable match as young schoolboy. “I had no idea then that from that day on cricket in India would change forever. As a film-maker, the journey to that win, filled with the raw energy and sheer passion of a young Indian team, is probably one of the most exciting stories I have worked on. It’s great to have Ranveer come on board as Kapil Dev, as honestly I could see no one else in the role since I started working on the script,” says Kabir.

The 1983 world cup is also remembered for the remarkable 175 not out scored by Kapil Dev in a do or die match against Zimbabwe and the final was low scoring game where India was defending 183 runs in 60 overs against the might West Indies.

Vishnu Vardhan Induri founder of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and Vibri Media, who is co-producing this incredible journey of Team India is excited to have both Kabir and Ranveer on board. “With his energy and passion, we feel that Ranveer I a perfect fit to play Kapil Dev, one of the greatest sporting legends India has ever produced,” he exults. There are talks that Rajamouli will fly to London to finalize the plans with the architect firm based in London. In this process, he will also interact with the team of Syeraa in London and will extend his support with his valuable suggestions that will help the film.

Anasuya will be seen as Ram Charan’s Menatta in the film. She will be seen in a complete traditional outfit as she would be seen as a village belle. Already a glimpse of Anasuya’s costume was revealed by her on her social networking page.

Ace director SS Rajamouli’s latest statement on making the much speculated and highly expected magnum opus ‘Mahabharata’ is contradicting his father and writer Vijayendra Prasad’s earlier statement.

Prasad, who has penned almost all the stories of the films directed by his son, has during the promotions of ‘Srivalli’ claimed that Rajamouli would make Mahabharata on a never before imagined scale. Movie lovers obviously got excited with his statement as that Hindi epic is the perfect material to make India’s biggest film and that Rajamouli is the most able and visionary director to make such epics.

The ‘Baahubali’ director however has shocked the film fraternity and film lovers by clarifying that he wasn’t planning to make ‘Mahabharata’. Speaking to national media, he reportedly quoted, ‘I just said that my dream is to make Mahabharata but I am not planning to make it now. It will be a long time to get to that.”

Rajamouli shouldn’t be blamed for causing this huge disappointment to fans as he had been stating time and again that he wasn’t having the requisite expertise to make ‘Mahabharata’ and that he would think of making it probably after a decade. Some people close to him have allegedly made fans believe that he was going to make Mahabharata next.

Adding further, Rajamouli said that he hadn’t yet started work on his next project and that he was enjoying the break.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu confirmed that he had been in discussions with Rajamouli and that a project would materialize in near future. Possibility of a film with Ram Charan can’t be ruled out. As of now, Rajamouli keeps everyone guessing.

Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone has been busy shooting for her next film  Padmavati which is said to be a periodic drama and is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The makers unveiled the first look of Deepika from the film which has been trending all over.

As per the public voting, Siva Balaji has won the title of the Bigg Boss reality show. As per the game rules, the title winner gets a prize money of Rs 50 lakh. While the other finalists are Hari Teja, Navdeep, Adarsh and Archana.

‘If I am the ‘Mahanubhavudu’ in the film, then Prabhas Anna is the Mahanubhavudu in real life. Generally, everyone has 4-5 best friends who would anything for them. Prabhas Anna has 25 such friends, which explains us the kind of person he is. He knows nothing but sharing love,’ Sharwa said.

He added that when he had scored a hit with ‘Run Raja Run’, Prabhas had celebrated and enjoyed the success more than himself. ‘He selflessly wishes for the success of others, a quality not many people possess,’ Sharwa said.
