Buoyed by the confidence that Telugu audiences have started embracing novel attempts, young heroes are showing keenness in attempting conceptual cinema. Nithin’s latest release ‘LIE’ also is a novel attempt to some extent but the response from audiences has been pretty mixed.

Confessing the same, Nithin said that LIE had opened to mixed talk. Speaking at the Thank You meet held by the makers, Nithin said, ‘On Day 1, about 60 percent people liked our film, and it grew to 70 on day 2 and 85 percent by the weekend. There was mixed talk initially but it is veering towards positive talk day by day. A novel attempt always takes some time to reach people”.

Nithin also said that they couldn’t get as many theatres as they want since two more films were in contention. ‘The collections however are improving as the positive talk is slowly spreading. We are confident of the film’s success in long run,’ Nithin added with an optimistic view.

The ‘Jayam’ hero heaped praises on director Hanu Raghavapudi and said that he would become a top director irrespective of the result of LIE.

Finding a heroine for Prabhas is not tough provided with the huge popularity the actor amassed after the success of Baahubali at the box office. But finding a happening heroine is said to have turned quite costly and also with heroine’s getting only simpler roles, some Bollywood sirens have rejected the offer.

For “Saaho”, finally, we hear that the hunt for heroine has come to an end with “Aashiqui 2” and “Baaghi” fame Shraddha Kapoor giving nod to the movie and also allocated her dates. However, this heroine who has no bigger heroes films on hand is heard demanding a bomb from the makers. Some birdies in Bollywood have revealed that she’s charging a whopping 8 crores to romance Prabhas in this movie.

As there are a couple of solo hits in her kitty, Shraddha is now charging somewhere between 2-4 crores for crazy Bollywood projects. But “Saaho” happens to be a big ticket entertainer and the makers are on the look out for a Bollywood actress from a time. Cashing on this opportunity, Shraddha readily accepted the offer but only if her remuneration is doubled. Eight crores is a price being paid to some happening Telugu star heroes, but now a heroine charging such amount became the talk of the town.

“When you’re releasing your film in three languages, and making the movie with huge budgets, definitely that is not a huge budget for a heroine. It’s like you’re paying for three films as the makers also market and sell the film in three languages. So it’s no big deal”, a Bollywood PR man commented.

Directed by Sujith, Saaho is produced by UV Creations while Prabhas will star as a mafia man. The film is likely to hit cinemas in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi all at once.

Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, this Kollywood film has music by D Imman and cinematography by S Venkatesh. Hitesh Jhabak produced the film which is being promoted as India’s first space film. The Malaysian-based actor Aaron Aziz is doing the antagonist role and the film will have no romance and songs.

Young Rebelstar Prabhas attended the pre-release event of Anando Brahma which has been touted to be a crime comedy.Prabhas revealed that Anando Brahma will hit the screens on August 18th and he wished the entire team all the best.

“First time in India cinema, a ghost is fearing men, and I liked the concept. I’m happy for Mr Perfect girl for becoming a beautiful ghost. Producer Vijay always talks about films whenever we meet, and we have to ‘aapara babu’ to stop him. Anando Brahma releases on August 18th. Vijay, has to throw party that day”, said Prabhas.

Taapsee will be playing a ghost in the movie, and Sreenivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore and Prabhas Seenu played the lead roles in the movie which has been slated for release next week. Mahi V Raghav directed the film!!

General notion is that NTR picks only directors who score hits, but he changed that attitude of late. Whether it is Sukumar or KS Ravindra, he’s not worried about the director’s previous film result. And he’s extending that now to another director as well.

Young Tiger NTR has been thriving for interesting roles and his recent films prove that he has been signing interesting scripts. After a massive hit like Janatha Garage, NTR surprised everyone by signing a film for KS Ravindra (Bobby) and the film Jai Lava Kusa is hot in trade for Tarak essaying three different roles. Tarak has been occupied with many big films and he will work with Trivikram and then with Koratala Siva in the coming days. Buzz has that he gave a nod for yet another interesting project that will be helmed by super creative filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti, whose last outing Manamantha got appreciation but not box office result.

Liking an idea narrated by the director, we hear that Tarak asked him to come with the full draft as the plot is quite convincing. Chandu directed some critically acclaimed films but he failed to score a massive commercial hit. This is the first time, Chandra Sekhar Yeleti will be directing a star like NTR. If things fall in place, Tarak will work with Chandra Sekhar Yeleti after he wraps up the shoot of Trivikram’s movie. And the result of this film is likely to push the director into a big league, while NTR is getting appreciations for okaying a director whose previous film is not hit but a flop.

Jai Lava Kusa directed by Bobby has been announced for September 21st release. Nivetha Thomas, Rashi Khanna are the female leads and Nandamuri Kalyanram is the producer.
