With director Puri Jagannath is being projected as the prime accused in ‘Drugs case’, makers of his upcoming film ‘Paisa Vasool’ as well as fans of Balayya look worried, but not Balayya.

Last night Puri spoke to media and he was visibly quite upset. He blamed media for blowing the issue out of proportion, and is reportedly tensed about the blood test and also the subsequent inquiry of his friends in film industry. His reputation also took quite a beating with this case.

Fans of Balakrishna and the makers of ‘Paisa Vasool’ are worried that the pressure caused by the prevailing circumstances on Puri may affect the film. As per reports, about one week of shoot is still pending and the post-production work has just commenced.

Going by the proceedings in the drugs case, the investigation may continue for a long time. And, Puri may not find peace until the case is subdued or he is given a clean chit. Fans worry that the ongoing disturbances in Puri’s life may impact Paisa Vasool.

Balayya on the other hand is quite unperturbed of all this. There have been plenty of examples where he didn’t care much about the ongoing hassles. For instance, when his ‘Chennakesava Reddy’ received divided talk and makers were skeptical of shooting the pending song, Balayya suggested them to go ahead with the initial plan notwithstanding the result. Years have passed but Balayya still possesses the same attitude.

Director Sukumar is popular for churning out those logical emotions that sound brilliant and intelligent as well. All these logically emotional stories are however spinning producers out of expectations because our director is crossing the limits. Here is why.

Actually, when the expected budget is something, it is said that Sukumar is always making the producers invest more than that. And that budget is touching a saturation point where the films collect just a few crores beyond the investment. For example, touted as a brilliant film, 1-Nenokkadine budget touched nearly 55 crores and the film failed to collect it. At the same time, Nannaku Prematho got hailed for its emotional content and the budget of the film touched 65+ crores while makers got only 70 crores finally.

When a small film like Pelli Choopulu that was made with 2 crores investment, including print and publicity, fetched 10 crores profit to producers, how much a film made with 50+ crores should bring? That’s what they call business logic and Sukumar is missing it out all the time, say trade experts.

Even for the recent film Rangasthalam 1985, the makers are right now building a village set with almost 5 crores investment. Rather going to some real village and shooting the part, why building a set with such huge investment is the question. And these small-small investments (for a film that has Ram Charan in the lead this may look small) is finally blowing out of proportion. And when they sell the film at above 100 crores to distributors for theatrical release, any slight mismatch would result in losses.

And other celebs who are rumoured to have got the notices are really attending the investigation in next couple of days. So, how could media get all this information? An exclusive source revealed that media folks are spending lakhs to get information from insiders. This is not a new thing to offer some perks to ‘insiders’ in any place, whether it is a corporate company or a government department, by media folks.

And we hear that some middlemen took more than lakhs to pass on information about the people involved in drugs, as revealed by arrested Goan drug peddler Calvin Mascarenhas. Apparently, some rumours like music director Chakri lost his life due to drug overdose and other stuff appearing as ‘rumours’ in media are said to be some genuine information bought over money.

In that way, media has spent some lakhs to extract information related to Puri Jagan as well which was collected by Excise Enforcement department. However,  the opposite giving shedding information for money may not always tell truth. Sometimes they might divulge misleading information such that the original investigation will not get tampered. In such situation, media will process the information and take a final call basing on their gut-feel. It might go wrong as well.

Meanwhile, today cinematographer Shyam.K.Naidu turned up at SIT office to take part in the questioning session by Excise Enforcement officials.

As a contestant has to obey all the rules of the reality show – should stay away from connecting with outside world through mobile, internet, etc, should have no access to time and should stay with the other contestants in the house as per the Big Boss. Since the rules are quite stringent, it is not easy for the organisers to find the replacement for Bharath in a very short time.

Apparently, Kathi Mahesh said to have readily agreed to join the 14 contestants and thus untimely demise of actor Bharath said to have given opportunity for Kathi Mahesh.
