Modi Eyes Telugu Newspaper Head

Share

Venkaiah Naidu’s vice-presidentship will cut off the right-hand man of AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu.

There is already talk that in the coming days, YS Chowdary and Ashok Gajapathi Raju could be made to resign from the Cabinet.

Given this backdrop, looks like the Prime Minister is slowly headed towards severing ties with TDP in AP. Of late, the state BJP leaders have also become quite vocal about the same.

Meanwhile, talk from New Delhi is that Prime Minister Modi has now set his eyes on a newspaper head who has been writing stories against BJP and in support of TDP.

News written about Modi has been communicated to the PM and he is said to have directed for some internal details from his party members.

Latest talk on this front is that the BJP has gathered some crucial information that is likely to become a huge hurdle for the said newspaper head and land him in big trouble.

Though the media head was hoping to make it to the Rajya Sabha, looks like there is trouble ahead for him.

Well, those who behave recklessly are likely to face trouble in future.

There have been reports that Anushka has slimmed down drastically but truth is that she is far from svelte avatar.

She was recently spotted at producer Shyam Prasad Reddy’s daughter’s wedding. Those who have seen her in real say she is almost the same as she was few months ago. Not much difference to her overall physique.

Although Anushka has been trying to slim down with various methods, nothing is working out for her.

She tried yoga, gymming and international weight loss methods. With all these, she reportedly lost just 5 or 6 kgs.

Anushka put on weight heavily when she tried to gain flab for the role of “Size Zero”. Since then she has been trying to lose all that but in vein.

Anushka doesn’t want to resort to surgery or other medical methods due to hormonal issues.

‘If Sukumar Wouldn’t Call Me, I’ll Kill Him Know’

Share

“Many persons have told me, Sukumar is promoting Darshakudu movie with other stars but not inviting you. I told them, ‘why wouldn’t Sukumar call me?’. If he won’t call me, I’ll surely kill him know”, said Allu Arjun jokingly, adding “If Sukumar has his style of ego to love me, I’ve my own set of ego to love him in my way”.

As it is known that both Sukumar and Allu Arjun got a big break together in Tollywood with “Arya” movie, their bonding continues since then with each one calling the other as ‘darling’. “It’s really tough to produce films while keeping busy as a director on the other side. I said that will not be possible, but Sukumar made it a possibility through Kumari 21 F, the film that drives me mad. If I’ve to say ‘I love you’ to some men, then Sukumar’s name will be sure in it”, quips Bunny.

Meanwhile, he called Director’s job as the toughest one on sets. “What would a director do to anyone is, he will give life to all. While there are 24 crafts in film making, the 25th craft is ego management and director should excel in it. That’s why directors are great”, he says. Allu Arjun congratulated Sukumar and director Jakka Hari Prasad for this movie and wished hero Ashok, Eesha and Poojitha all the best.

In the trailer of Darsakudu movie, the hero character who is playing a film director will walk off the sets calling it ‘pack up’. Producer Dil Raju says that attitude belongs to Sukumar only, explaining about the traits of this creative director.

I’ve Made Allu Arjun A Real Hero

Share

Who could claim that way, other than Allu Arvind or a Megastar Chiru? But here comes director Sukumar who stated quite sharply, “I’ve made Allu Arjun a real hero, and you have to believe and accept this”. But just for delivering a film Arya, is he giving such statements? No.

Actually during the shooting of Arya movie, in one particular scene where the heroine jumps off a boat, the balance was lost after her jump and Sukumar who was standing at the far end of boat slipped into the water. “Everyone out there was shocked and watching me drowning. I had felt like those were the last moments of life. But immediately Allu Arjun dived into the waters and tried to save me. I’ve sabotaged his efforts by pulling him back into waters twice, but still, he saved me” said Sukumar.

And he adds, “As I’ve fallen into the water, Allu Arjun got a chance to save my life and become a real hero. So it’s me who made him a real hero, isn’t it?”. This is the kind of logic he applied in films like Arya and Arya 2 as well and got succeeded. But other day Allu Arjun fans are shocked to hear about this statement from our creative director.

So, when would this combination do an Arya 3 movie? For that, we have an answer from Allu Arjun. “The hero in Arya is little eccentric and in Arya 2 he’s much more eccentric. So what should be his role in Arya 3? Maybe he should be a mad guy. We’ll see when the script occurs and when we could make Arya 3 possible”, he says.

No Money For Panipuri, But Wears Branded Shirts??

Share

A hero lives in slums because he hails from that slum only. And he won’t have even 10 rupees to buy a plate of Panipuri nearby his house. Guess what, he always appears wearing branded shirts and t-shirts. These are some regular scenes we watch in Telugu films and latest Gowtham Nanda is no exception.

This double-action thriller has its up and downs but when a slum-dweller Gopichand appears in Bossini t-shirts at home and wearing Louis Philippe casual shirts to meet the heroine, we surely get shocked. For the kind of living that character is having, definitely buying shirts with a couple of thousands will be tough. And audiences are quick enough to grasp it.

In the recent times, we have hero Ram also playing similar stuff on the silver screen. In Sivam movie, he plays the role of an orphan who is dependent on friends for food and bread. But he will be wearing ultra-costly Superdry brand clothes throughout the film.

Earlier people don’t know about these brands and how much they would cost. But now that we have many e-commerce websites available, selling all international brands to door step, audiences do know about all these brands and their prices as well. So, filmmakers, start thinking in reality now!!

Aishwarya to Romance Kalyan Ram

Share

Telugu people who have become ‘Fidaa’ over Malayali girl Sai Pallavi in Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Fidaa’, should get ready to welcome another potential Sai Pallavi.

Malayali model-turned-actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has reportedly been roped in to romance Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in his new film to be directed by Jayendra (Siddarth’s ‘180’ fame). Lekshmi thus will be making her Tollywood debut with this romantic drama. It is heard that she has been finalized after considering several fresh faces.

Interestingly, Lekshmi is a Medicine student just like Sai Pallavi, and both hail from Kerala. Following Pallavi’s route, she has reportedly hired a tutor to hone Telugu language skills to make an appealing debut in Tollywood. It is known that Sai Pallavi mastered the Telangana accent before commencing shoot of ‘Fidaa’. If Lekshmi turns out to be as charming and potential as Pallavi, she may also get a red carper welcome in Tollywood.

The list of Malayalam actresses who are foraying into Tollywood is steadily growing, and most of them are successfully establishing themselves here. The most recent examples being Anupama Parameswaran, Sai Pallavi, Nivetha Thomas, Anu Emmanuel etc.

NO Songs, NO Interval!

An Indian film, especially the one starring a well-established South Indian hero, having no songs and interval didn’t look a possibility until a few hours ago.

Being a star full of surprises, Tamil star hero Simbu however surprised everyone by announcing a new film which won’t feature any songs. There wouldn’t be any interval either. “NO songs NO interval use the restroom, get your drinks & popcorn before the show,” Simbu tweeted. He further teased his fans by adding, ‘Witness the unwitnessed’.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will score music for this first of its kind attempt in recent times.

Death Threats for Marrying Hindu Actress

Share

Nagarjuna Akkineni-starrer ‘Super’ fame Ayesha Takia’s husband Farhan Azmi has reportedly received death threats for committing ‘Love Jihad’ (marrying a Hindu woman, Ayesha).

Azmi, who is the son of controversial Maharashtar MLA Abu Azmi, married Ayesha Takia in 2009 and they have a 5-year-old son. The young man receiving threats after these many years of marriage has become a talking point in Mumbai political and film circles. He even lodged a police complaint in this regard.

Farhan Azmi’s complaint states that a political outfit named ‘Hindu Sena’ threatened him over phone for marrying Ayesha Takia, who is a Hindu woman. “You all are animals. Have you forgotten that you have indulged in Love Jihad by marrying a Hindu girl?” the unidentified caller reportedly told the actress’ husband.

It however is suspected that the primary target of the Hindu outfit was not Ayesha but her father-in-law Abu Azmi, who often makes controversial statements. Abu Azmi has recently commented about singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’, who had earlier ridiculed ‘Azaan’ (morning call for Muslims to prayer).

The Hindu political outfit is reportedly offended by the response of Azmi towards Suchitra, and told his son over phone, “Ask your father to stop shouting like an animal else he will be bumped off.”

Ever since her marriage, Ayesha somehow has been becoming a victim whenever her father-in-law makes an absurd statement.

Shamili’s Comeback to Tollywood

Share

National-award winning child artist Shamili, who made her debut as a leading lady with the 2009 Siddarth starrer ‘Oye’, hasn’t done any more films post the debacle of that film.

She took a long hiatus of six years before returning to acting. After doing a couple of Malayalam and Tamil films in the last two years, Shamili is all geared up to return to Tollywood. Reportedly, the talented actress will be seen playing young hero Naga Shourya’s love interest in a new film, which has already gone on floors.

Shamili has lost oodles of weight compared to the ‘Oye’ days and looks quite different now. She hopes to strike back in tollywood where she excelled as a child artist.

Rajamouli’s Son Accused of Cheating

Share

SS Karthikeya, who came into prominence after working as his father SS Rajamouli’s handyman on ‘Baahubali’, is known for being a multifaceted talent. The young lad is now in news on a ‘cheating’ accusation.

A drone manufacturer and operator based in Hyderabad is reportedly having a tough time procuring his drones and balance payment from Karthikeya. As per his alleged claims, he was hired by Karthikeya’s team to operate drones for Naga Chaitanya’s new film “Yuddham Sharanam”, a film being bankrolled by Vaarahi Chalana Chitram.

He alleged that Karthikeya didn’t give him the necessary time to build and test the drones even though he had specifically asked it. He cited readily unavailability of most of the parts needed to build the drones besides a few other reasons for delay in the work from his side.

“On the last day of shooting, Karthikeya kept my drones, didn’t pay me fully and told me on my face that he didn’t like my work. If he didn’t like my work, why wait till the last day? He has anyway not made the full payment then why keep my drones? Thinking I can’t do anything, he duped me,” the person allegedly said.

Karthikeya on the other hand, reportedly accepted that he has the drones with him and that he hasn’t paid a part of the promised money. “There are so many things that he promised but didn’t do. Even the little work he did, he was too late and we suffered a lot because of his negligence. In fact, I paid him more than what he deserves,” Karthikeya reportedly said. ‘I don’t have any use with these drones, I will anyway give them back to him,’ he added.

‘Baahubali 2 Can’t Beat Dangal’

Share

The box office race between Telugu epic ‘Baahubali 2’ and Bollywood film ‘Dangal’ has been a never ending process. With ‘Dangal’ crossing ‘Baahubali 2’ to stand at the moment as India’s highest grosser with the help of its unbelievable performance at Chinese box office, and ‘Baahubali 2’ shortly set for a wide release in China, fans of the epic Telugu film are of the opinion that it would beat ‘Dangal’ after its release in China.

Vijayendra Prasad, the ace writer who had created the world of ‘Baahubali’ on paper, however believes that Baahubali 2 can’t surpass Dangal. In one of his recent interviews, he reasoned, ‘Chinese people have seen umpteen costume dramas like Baahubali 2 so I feel that it will not work there. Dangal became a huge success there because people connected with the women-centric plot and how a daughter fulfilled the dream of her father.’

With the Baahubali writer himself declaring that the magnum opus has no chance of overtaking ‘Dangal’, fans might be disappointed. His analysis is supported by the fact that when Baahubali first part was released in China two years ago after it had created mayhem at the Indian box office, it couldn’t replicate the same success story there.

The senior writer further said that instead of comparing ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Dangal’, people should celebrate as two Indian films have performed exceptionally well and increased the reach of Indian cinema.
