According to sources, director Krishna Vamsi has etched a very powerful role for Sundeep Kishan in Nakshatram. Apparently, Sundeep’s role in Nakshatram has close similarities with the role of Ravi Teja in Khadgam. Also one could find out the shades of Prakash Raj character in Sundeep’s role in Nakshatram. It’s learnt that Krishna Vamsi has made the film in a commercial manner apart from his sensibilities.

Meanwhile, Sundeep Kishan had been injured a lot of times during the shooting of Krishna Vamsi directorial Nakshatram. The actor had hurt himself while working on the film and apparently left with several marks of wounds on his body. As per the unit people, Sundeep also had to shed blood as many of the wounds were deep. Since he plays a honest cop, Sundeep worked hard severely on the film

Drugs Case : Film Actors Won’t Be Arrested

In a surprising announcement, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has stated that film actors won’t be arrested in drugs case and would be treated as ‘victims’. KCR reportedly described film actors as ‘victims’ and clarified that the investigation would only bring more information on the drug peddlers, suppliers. KCR reportedly made the above comments during his review meeting with the top officials of the Excise Department. These latest remarks of KCR have come as a shocker to many given that he himself had earlier stated that no one who is involved in drugs is spared.

After nearly 3 weeks of long ‘investigation’ and ‘questioning’ that is witnessed in the Drugs case, KCR’s fresh statement brings cheer to Tollywood stars, technicians accused of involving in drugs. He also added that based on the information provided by the ‘victims’, he stated that the SIT would conduct more raids and arrest others who are into selling, supply.

KCR was speaking at a review meeting on the ongoing drug cases with Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, Hyderabad police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy, prohibition and excise commissioner Dr R.V. Chandravadan, Intelligence IG Naveen Chand, security IG Mrugesh Kumar Singh, director of excise enforcement Dr Akun Sabharwal, joint commissioners of police Shahnawaz Qasim (Cyberabad) and Tarun Joshi (Rachakonda).

Stating that Tollywood is not targeted, CM KCR reiterated that the Special Task Force had arrested 22 persons including two foreign nationals in connection with the drug cases. He said the state government had targeted the drug culture in its initial stages and was working to control it in Hyderabad. “The allegations being circulated that drugs are on the rise in Hyderabad are false. Telangana state is in the top position in financial growth, development and law and order and the government is concentrating on eliminating social disorders,” KCR added.

Manchu Vishnu seriously injured in Malaysia

Tollywood hero Manchu Vishnu received serious injuries when he skidded on  a bike while shooting his upcoming ‘ Achari America Yatra ‘ film in Malaysia.

Reports says while performing a stunt, Vishnu lost control of his bike and fell down. He received injuries on his leg and hands. The hero was  immediately shifted to nearby hospital.

Vishnu was admitted to intensive care unit and undergoing treatment.  His health condition is stated to be stable and the doctors put him under observation for 24 hours. Further reports are awaited.

Rana, Venkatesh in talks for ‘Vikram Vedha’ Telugu remake

R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil gangster drama “Vikram Vedha”, which struck gold at the box-office domestically as well as outside India, will soon be remade in Telugu, a source said.

“Talks have been initiated with Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh for Telugu remake. They were the first choice even before the release of ‘Vikram Vedha’. However, nothing has been finalised yet and the process might take a few more months,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.

Directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, the film has grossed over Rs 40 crore worldwide in its first week in cinemas.

Released in cinemas last week, the film has turned out to be a blockbuster, earning praise from critics and audiences alike.

Inspired from the popular folklore “Vikram Betaal”, its morality riddles are applied to a police-gangster backdrop.

While Madhavan plays an encounter specialist, Vijay essays the role of a gangster, whose role unanimously won over audiences.

“Vikram Vedha” producer Sashikanth told IANS: “Too early to talk about the remake. But yes, talks are on for the remake. But nothing has been confirmed yet.”

The film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and Kathir.

Actress Priya Anand says she is eagerly looking forward to the release of the sequel to 2013 Hindi coming-of-age comedy “Fukrey”.

In “Fukrey”, Priya played a character called Priya.

“Wherever I go, people still talk about ‘Fukrey’ and ask me about the sequel. It’s going to be a fun film and I’m thrilled about it. There will be this crazy wedding song, on the lines of the popular ‘Ambarsariya’ from the first part,” Priya told IANS.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, “Fukrey Returns” is slated for a December 8 release.

It also stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Vishakha Singh and Richa Chadha.
