Filmmaker Rajamouli, actor Prabhas, Anushka, Tamannah and other cast & crew of Baahubali were in Chennai on Sunday to attend the pre-release event of it’s Tamil version. Kollywood star hero Dhanush was the special guest at the function and team released audio songs of the film.

Prior to the event, the lead cast and crew of Baahubali attended a press conference wherein the director Rajamouli said, ‘this conclusion part of film is tightly based on conflict between characters introduced in part-1. To ensured that film shouldn’t miss Tamil nativity, we had a brief discussions with Nazar and Satyaraj prior to the shoot.’ The filmmaker continued, ‘we will continue the Baahubali franchise in the form of TV series, animations, mobile games and e.t.c’

The nation’s most-happening director also added that he would like to bring onscreen the complete Mahabharata over course of time. Certainly, to one of media queries, he said, ‘I would love to work with Superstar Rajinikanth and definitely, I will make a film with him soon.’ Rajamouli finished saying he’s no side thoughts other than Baahubali for now.

Scheduled to release on 28th April, the second installment of this massive franchise has Prabhas, Anushka, Rana, Ramya Krishna and others in lead roles and the film has music by MM Keeravani.

Director Sreenu Vaitla has claimed that a film with Mahesh Babu is on cards. When asked about teaming up with Mahesh, Sreenu Vaitla said it’s there. Vaitla had earlier delivered blockbuster Dookudu with the star. However, their next collaboration Aagadu was a disaster and got a bad name both to the star and the director.

While Mahesh is quite busy and has a slew of commitments, Vaitla hopeful of teaming up with Mahesh is surprising many in film, media circuits. It’s buzzed that Mahesh may not team up with Sreenu anytime sooner unless Vaitla is back to success track.Meanwhile, Sreenu Vaitla seems to be in introspect mode. He opened up about the failure of Bruce Lee where he said that the film didn’t shape well as he had thought and said he couldn’t do much about it. Vaitla said that he learnt from his past.

He, however, said audiences love his comedy and expect humour from his films. So, he assured of delivering fine comedy in his films. He also said that he tried it in Mister as well and said Varun Tej did well in comic scenes although he did something like that for the first time.But the big question is will Vaitla team up with Mahesh again? Now, the ball is in Mahesh’s court.

The controversy on 64th National film awards is getting ugly. Filmmaker Priyadarshan, the head of the awards committee, is accused of handing the Best Actor award to his friend Akshay Kumar over actors such as Aamir Khan and Manoj Payee who delivered much better performances. Instead of lying low, Priyadarshan is intensifying this controversy with this bizarre statements.

When questioned why Aamir, who put up stellar performance in ‘Dangal’ was not chosen over Akshay for his average film ‘Rustom’, Priyadarshan reasoned that Aamir doesn’t attend awards so there was no need to give him one. ‘When his film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was awarded in 2007, he didn’t even turn up for collecting the award,’ he said.

Talking about the snub that powerful performer Manoj Bajpayee received despite his heart wrenching performance in ‘Aligarh’, Priyadarshan brazenly said that Bollywood is making more films on homosexuality than on social issues. ‘Aligarh’ explores the relation between a gay professor and his student.The illogical reasons given by Priyadarshan are receiving flak from rational thinkers and movie lovers alike. Citing imbecile reasons for snubbing Aamir and Manoj only with the intention of giving award to his friend Akshay Kumar hasn’t gone well with Bollywood as well as South film fraternity.

Senior Tamil actor Raj Kiran has made some controversial comments against Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan that could damange the reputtion of the duo.It is known that Raj Kiran was the first choice to play the character of Charan’s grandfather in ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’. After canning certain parts, Raj Kiran was replaced with Prakash Raj. There were rumors spread at that time that Chiru was behind the replacement of the senior Tamil actor.

Now, more than two years later the film hit screens, Raj Kiran has divulged that he was disrespected by both Chiru and Charan by replacing him in the film without giving him any reason. He added that when director Krishna Vamsi narrated him the story, his character had more prominence than that of hero in the first half. ‘After Chiru watched the rushes, he felt that I dominated Charan hence they shortened the grandfather character and also replaced me,’ reportedly revealed Raj Kiran, who will next be seen in lead role in Dhanush’s directorial debut, ‘Pa Paandi’.

‘I wouldn’t have minded if I was personally explained about the situation. But, as I was waiting for the next schedule, they replaced me and didn’t even bothered to inform me. This is not the kind of treatment senior actors expect from Chiranjeevi. The producer still hasn’t settled my remuneration up to Rs 10 lakhs,’ he reportedly added.As the film’s producer, it was the responsibility of Bandla Ganesh to settle the monetary and other issues with Raj Kiran. As he allegedly didn’t do his job, Chiru will now have to bear the comments.

Sayyeshaa Saigal, who made an impressive debut in Tollywood with Akhil, failed to bag offers with the film turning out to be a dud. However, she moved onto Hindi and did Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay which again a failure. Yet it didn’t spoil her chances as she said to have a few projects in her kitty including a big Hindi film.The latest is that she has been roped in for a multistarrer in Tamil. She will be sharing screenspace with Karthi, Vishal. Titled as “Karuppu Raja Vella Raja”, this is going to be helmed by none other than Prabhudeva and it marks his return to Tamil cinema after seven-long years.

Sayyeshaa has already signed her Tamil debut where she is paired opposite Jayam Ravi in “Vanamagan”Prabhudeva has choreographed a song in “Vanamagan” and during the course he said to had impressed with Sayyeshaa’s dance, her work and have offered her female lead in his next.

It’s not clear whether she will pair up with Karthi or Vishal. The film is going to be launched on April 10. Since all the film’s cast Vishal, Karthi and Sayyeshaa are known to Telugu audiences and Prabhudeva himself made his directorial debut in Telugu, chances of dubbing the film into Telugu are high.
