In the modern times of Tollywood, if there are any writers after Trivikram who got that cult status for the kind of blockbusters they are associated with, definitely the names of Kona Venkat and Gopimohan stand tall. Thanks to their continuous association with hit films of Sreenu Vaitla. When it comes to directing movies however, these writers got slowed down.
At some point in writing career, for various reasons, many writers turn to direction. Even Kona Venkat has announced that he will debut with a sensational film and then pledged to direct Pawan Kalyan as well. However he got completely slowed down for unknown reasons and his short film made in the USA didn’t released so far.
Same is the case with Gopimohan who was supposed to direct Sunil in his first ever directorial. Some say that these writers are struggling to win confidence of heroes, while some say that they are too busy with their current writing assignments that they can’t afford time to write a story for their own.
Anyway Gopimohan has finally however made some extended announcement about his directorial, which he’s talking about from long. He has finally completed the script of his debut directorial movie, titled “Ishtamga Santoshamga Anandamga”. “The film is about friendship, love and human relationships. Three established young heroes & heroines play the main lead”, adds Gopimohan. He stated that it took all this year for him to write the script and soon he will bounce it to other heroes.
Like the way writers Koratala Siva and Anil Ravipudi have succeeded with direction, wish Kona and Gopi also taste the big win.
Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas have visited Dasari Narayana Rao who is in the Intensive Care Unit of KIMS in Hyderabad. Pawan and Trivikram met Dasari and wished him a speedy recovery. Pawan has spoken to KIMS team and enquired about Dasari’s health condition. Earlier in the afternoon, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too personally visited Dasari.
Meanwhile, doctors in the fresh medical bulletin released on Wednesday evening stated that Dasari is recovering well after chest surgery and cooperating without dialysis. Doctors said that he’s been put under close observation and a team of doctors are constantly monitoring his condition. Dasari was admitted to the hospital due to complaints of kidney malfunction and respiratory problems. His condition is now said to be stable. Mohan Babu who is accompanying Dasari in the hospital stated that there’s nothing to worry about Dasari’s health.
It can be recalled that Pawan and Dasari share good bond and the duo has stated to work together. Apparently, Dasari’s supposed to produce a film with Pawan Kalyan in Trivikram’s direction. This is yet to be materialised.
Governor ESL Narasimhan on Wednesday angered on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments for approaching the High Court over the pending assets distribution and Krishna River water sharing disputes between the two states after the bifurcation of united AP.
When the representatives of the two Telugu states headed by TS Irrigation minister T Harish Rao and AP Finance minister Y Ramakrishnudu respectively met the Governor at Raj Bhavan, he reportedly questioned them why the two governments keep locking horns and knocking the door of the High Court even though the AP Reorganization Act has clarified every contentious issue between the two states.
Telangana representatives have then explained the difficulties in resolving water sharing issue following Brijesh Kumar tribunal verdict. They also expressed the intentions of TS govt. in taking over the buildings allotted to AP in the Secretariat for the construction of new state administration office.
The Governor however was not convinced and suggested the leaders to resolve the issues through amicable dialogue. He also offered to mediate between the two states to break the deadlock on contentious issues. Following the soft criticism of the common Governor, the representatives have reportedly left the Raj Bhavan informing that they would shortly return with an action plan to resolve their issues.

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his bandwagon are going ga ga over the capital gains tax exemption given by the Centre on the first sale of plots allotted to farmers who lost their lands under land pooling for construction of new capital Amaravati.
Under the land pooling system, Naidu government had acquired nearly 33,000 acres of land from farmers. In return, each farmer was allotted residential plot of 1,000 square yards and a commercial plot of size ranging from 250 to 450 square yards.
The government assured that the cost of the plots would go up multi-fold with the construction of the new capital. But since the sale of residential and commercial plots would invite levy of capital gains tax, they were worried. So, Naidu ensured that the Centre would exempt this tax on Amaravati plots.
With this, the TDP leaders are on cloud nine as it if is a big achievement and they even distributed sweets among farmers of the affected villages. They went on to claim that the farmers would become millionaires if they sell plots at higher rate once Amaravati is developed.
However, YSR Congress party described it as yet another attempt to fool the farmers of Amaravati.
“It is an agriculture land and any transaction of agriculture land is exempt from capital gains tax. This is being projected as a big boon to farmers. It is nothing but cheating,” party MP V Vijay Sai Reddy said.
Moreover, the exemption is given only up to 2020. It does mean Amaravati would have to be constructed till such time and cost of plots would go up. But does it happen?
Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has remained silent on the Union budget introduced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Parliament, since he had never reacted on the Central budget in the past.
Sources said KCR wants to play safe by not reacting, since he does not want to lose the confidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at this stage. If he opens his mouth, he has to talk about the injustice done to the state.
However, KCR’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who represents Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha was all praise for Modi budget.
She said the tax reduction for medium, small and micro enterprises from 30 per cent to 25 per cent was a welcome move. It would benefit about 90 per cent of total industries of in the country and would also accelerate job creation which was the need of the hour.
She also welcomed the reduction of personal income tax rate from 10 per cent to five per cent for those with less than Rs 5 lakh income. It would increase the tax net and with less burden, more people would be ready to pay the tax.

NEW DELHI: Stating that India is “largely a non-tax compliant society,” finance minister Arun Jaitley today said the government is putting a Rs 3 lakh limit on cash transactions.
In addition, the minister gave a significant tax break to those earning between Rs 2.5-5 lakhs, cutting their tax rates to as low as 5 percent from the earlier 10%.
The minister imposed a surcharge of 10 percent for those whose annual income is Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. The 15% surcharge on incomes above Rs 1 crore will continue.
Stating that political parties continue to receive most funds through anonymous donation, Jaitley announced that the maximum amount of cash donation a political party can receive is Rs 2000 from any one source.
The minister also said the government plans to extend the basket of financial instruments to which the capital gains can be invested without the payment of tax.
There is also a proposal to allow a carry forward of Minimum Alternative Tax for a period of 15 years up from the current 10 yrs now.
