Actress Parul Yadav, who’s familiar to Tollywood audience through an important role in Killing Veerappan, is a popular face in Kannada film Industry. In what can called as an unexpected incident, the 34-year old actress sustained some serious injures, on Monday, when she was attacked by a group of dogs near her apartment in Mumbai.
The incident happened when Parul, who was on evening walk with her little puppy, tried to rescue her dog from stray dogs where were trying to snatch it.
The horrific incident left the actress with multiple bites on her face, legs, neck and head-scalp. Alerted with this, Parul’s sister Sheetal Yadav took help of localities to save Parul from dogs and got admitted her to Kokilaben Hospital. As per the doctors, the Sandalwood actress had a 3-inch deep cut on her head and it was operated on Wednesday.
The model-turned-actress Parul Yadav joined films in 2004, and went on to feature in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil movies over the following years. She also won ‘Filmfare award’ in best actress category for Aatagara (Kannada) in 2015.
There used to be those good old days when theatres witnessed repeat audiences but this trend has changed slowly with changing times. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 however looks to have brought back not just Boss but also his potential of commanding repeat audiences.
When Chiru was at his prime, people used to watch his movies repeatedly thanks to those chartbuster songs and the legend’s graceful dances. Even his flop movies used to attract audiences just because of the songs. People used to leave theatres once all songs were over.
Now, a similar trend is being witnessed in the case of his comeback movie Khaidi No.150. Exhibitors from several areas have reported that repeat audiences are not waiting until the climax and are leaving once the last song, ‘Ammadu lets do Kummudu’ song that comes right before the pre-climax gets over. Interestingly, makers strategically placed the best song, Ammadu, which also has Charan rocking dance floor along with Chiru, at the far end of the film.
It may be noted here that Konidela Productions Company has systematically infused the album into audiences by releasing the lyrical songs one by one. They however have not yet released the visual songs even two weeks after the film’s release. They know very well that songs are the main attraction in megastar’s movies so they made it sure that people come to cinemas if they have to watch Chiru’s impeccable dances.

Perhaps, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is going through one of the most toughest phase of his political career.
After winning the title of the ‘longest serving chief minister’ of AP by holding office for close to a decade in his first stint in office (1995-2004) and then moving ahead to become the ‘longest serving opposition leader’ in the state for yet another decade (2004-2014), Chandrababu Naidu has begun his second stint as chief minister. And no, it’s not a bed of roses for Naidu.
Not just his political opponents like YSRCP, even political allies like BJP, Janasena & old friend of TDP Loksatta JP too troubling Naidu in every possible way.
While YS Jagan has been creating fears among the farmers in capital region and provoking them to fight against the state government, and also trying to create disturbances every now and then and thus put state government in tight spot, Kapu crusader Mudragada Padmanabham is taking on cash-crunch government over including their community into BCs and declaring a war on government, good ally Jana Sena Pawan Kalyan criticizing government over Special Category Status and farmers issues, and of course BJP that’s part of TDP government in state and ally of NDA at Centre is troubling Naidu at his best by going back and forth on crucial deciscions and raising suspicions over special package, Chandrababu Naidu is a lone warrior ( a la Satakarni) who is ruling the state at his best with the available resources by making Amaravati as the capital.
While he tactfully solved a score of problems with his wit, vast experience and still so many are pending, he hasn’t tired yet and importantly, he didn’t given up. Also, none of his ministers could bail out Naidu from the situation and he’s all alone waging battle against all the odds that’re coming his way.
Ever since he became CM to the successor state of AP, problem after problem tested Naidu’s patience. The Gas pipeline blast in GAIL in June 2014 followed by Hudhud cyclone’s devastation in Oct 2014 that destructed Vizag and incurred crores of loss to government, T-TDP MLA Revanth Reddy allegedly caught bribing for votes in MLC election in Telangana in May 2015 and AP CM & TDP chief Chandrababu’s alleged involvement in it, and a major stampede in Godavari Pushkaram in Rajahmundry that killed nearly 30 in July 2015, Chandrababu has overcome several embarrassing and difficult instances. But all these have made Naidu stronger than before as he’s prepping upto make Amaravati, the capital of Sunrise Andhra Pradesh, a world-class capital.
His achievements include – the Land-pooling policy that won the trust of farmers who willingly gave over 35000 acres of land for the development of the capital region. Tying up with Singapore to build a world-class capital city – Amaravati – is another major achievement.
When cyclone Hudhud had hit Vizag, Naidu personally stayed and saw the relief measures personally and got the city back on its feet in record time. CBN turned Vizag into one of the cleanest cities in India in just a year. It was ranked fifth in the list of clean cities in India.
Except one unfortunate incident, the way Godavari Pushkaram was conducted was also one of the achievements of Naidu’s government.
The Pattiseema project that’s being delayed for decades is successfully initiated by Naidu. Involving the integration of Godavari and Krishna Rivers. It will provide irrigation to 7 lakh acres of farm-land in the state, greatly benefitting the drought prone Rayalaseema.
As Special Category Status to AP is now the hot issue that’s irking Naidu & his cabinet, Chandrababu Naidu has swiftly initiated steps at breakneck speed in getting Special Package from the Centre.
At 65, Chandrababu Naidu is solely working very hard for the new state and its future. Since the power-hungry Jagan can’t digest Naidu’s efforts, it’d be better if sensible person like Pawan Kalyan understands and stands by Chandrababu during these tough times. But as Pawan too is on the opposite side, it’s going to be more tougher for Naidu.

Telugu audiences have recently witnessed the epic clash between Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No.150 and Balayya’s GPSK. Now, get ready to witness another massive clash of two star-studded films.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ are all set to clash at the box office on 25th January. As both the heroes have pan-India stardom, their films will have a sizeable release in the Telugu states as well. Along with its Hindi version, ‘Kaabil’ will also release in Telugu as ‘Balam’.
Actually, speculations are rife in bollywood circles that a cold war is in progress between SRK and Hirthik ever since the former decided to lock horns with the latter. Adding fuel to this, makers of both the films have released a series of promos for the past few days as if they were taunting each other.
As last films of both Hrithik (Mohenjo Daro) and SRK (Fan) tanked at box office, a lot is at stake on their new films. With no big film releasing in the Telugu states for Republic Day weekend, exhibitors have bet huge amount on both Raees and Kaabil.
Going by the promos, both the films look to intriguing content and trade expects both to find their niche audiences.
Perhaps first time, Telangana Irrigation minister T Harish Rao poured praises on his close relative and cabinet colleague IT Minister KT Rama Rao at an inauguration of the centre of a multi national IT company in Hyderabad.
Harish said it was KTR who brought many laurels to Telangana by attracting huge investments in IT sector after the formation of the state. The IT exports has been increased many fold from Hyderabad under the leadership of KTR. Now, the world is looking at Telangana as a destination for investments.

He stated this as a phenomenon called ‘catering to market demand’ and underlined that people are desiring to see only unmarried beauties as their leading ladies. But one fails to understand what that ‘demand’ exactly means as people want only unmarried girls as heroines.
Either it has to be that way that Indian movie lovers (mostly men) don’t want to see married women on screen because they can’t fantasise a romance with her in the shoes of a hero. Or we have to call the whole film industry as male chauvinistic society where they accept married men as Star Heroes but not Married Women as star heroines.
Probably it’s high time both film celebs, filmmakers and audiences see an actor as an actor, whether it’s female or male, and their marital status got nothing to do with it.

While it’s common knowledge that Jr NTR is playing triple role in the film with title Jai Lava Kusa, there is some interesting speculation making rounds.
Buzz is that one of the three roles in the film is a negative role and can possibly the character ‘Jai’ played by NTR himself. The actor hasn’t tried a role with negative shade before and certainly this is going to be a new, challenging attempt.
Apparently, the film is inspired by Ajith’s 2006 film God Father (Title changed to Varalaru) where Ajith will also be seen in triple role and one of them is a baddie.
What’s more? The film is going to have three female leads and an item song by Rattalu Raai Laxmi. NTR’s elder brother Kalyan Ram is bankrolling NTR’s 27.

Mumbai: He is known as Bollywood’s ‘King of Romance’, but superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is too old for a romantic film now.
The 51-year-old actor also feels the whole language of romance in Bollywood has changed, and that he is yet to get a hang of it.
“Romance has to have a little formality. Whether it’s ‘tehzeeb’, going down on your knees, whether it is saying couplets in praise of a girl… I am from that school, I still believe in it,” Shah Rukh told select media here during his train journey from Mumbai to Delhi.
He undertook the journey to promote his forthcoming film “Raees”, releasing on Friday.
Shah Rukh, who has been part of films like “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…”, added: “I think romance has to be formal. ‘Aur phir kya kar rahi hai (What are you doing) ?’ It can’t work like that, even if there is equality,” he said.
Asked about his famous dialogue — “Pyaar dosti hai (love is friendship)” from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, SRK said: “It must be I am sure… For those (for whom) it works. I don’t believe in everything that I do. My daughter calls me bro. I want to ask her, and everyone, do they say it to other boys also? I am not saying it’s wrong… It’s really cool.”
Shah Rukh added: “Romance requires a little bit of formality, space, enjoyment…All the connotations of romance need time and formality.”
The actor says that “somebody will find the language”.
“I think I am too old for a romantic film now, of that genre. May be the youngsters will have to find language which has formality, but is still of today,” said the actor, who showcased a romantic streak in “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.
He says his project with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali with actress Anushka Sharma might decode the new language of romance with a touch of formality.
SRK said: “May be in Imtiaz’s film, it might be there because I am playing kind of my age, 40s. The lady of course, Anushka is younger than me.”
The actor believes it is Imtiaz whose modern thinking and different take on romance, will lend the film a new angle.
“I think it could be a mix, I am not too sure. But youngsters should do films with the ease, formality and the language still being new.”

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has president seems to have decided to prove that he is no weak politician like his Tamil Nadu counterpart Panner Selvam.
Having seen the kind of violence protests of Tamils at Marina beach in Chennai demanding permission for Jallikattu, Naidu has given firm instructions to his police not to allow any kind of rallies at R K Beach in Visakhapatnam on January 26, demanding special category status for Andhra Pradesh, as called by the Opposition parties.
Within no time, Director General of Police Nanduri Sambasiva Rao called for a press conference and declared that no permission would be given to any rally on the Vizag beach.
“Prior permission is needed from the police well in advance to organise for any mass congregations. There is a specific format to seek the police permission. First of all, we do not know who is organising the rally. Let them come to us and apply for permission. Depending on the situation, we shall decide,” Rao said.
He made it clear that there is no question of allowing any rally based on social media calls.
“Who will be responsible if there is any incident on the beach or any violence in the rally? The organisers have to give it in writing stating that they would be responsible for any eventuality. So far, there is no such application,” he said.
And in the end, the DGP said even if somebody applies for the permission now, it would not be possible to give permission at such a short notice since it required deployment of massive police forces.
