Probably, first of its kind in Tollywood, a director has shot off an open letter to other director appreciating his film. SS Rajamouli took this healthy initiative and yet again proved his humbleness.

Starting the letter with “Dear Anjaniputra Krish, Namaste!”, Rajamouli mentioned the reason for shooting off the letter. He explained in the first para, “I have watched your Gautamiputra Satakarni. Ever since I watched the film, I’ve been trying to share a few things with you. Since you were busy in celebrating Satakarni success.

Since you happen to be the Kotha Alludu, you went to your in-law’s house for Sankranti. And now, you’re in US thanking fans for the success. Hope that you’d read the letter when you get free time, writing this letter in your style.”

Rajamouli in detail wrote what he thought – bad combination – about Krish and Balakrishna teaming up for 100th film and admitted how Krish proved him wrong.

Rajamouli wrote how he was amazed, shocked and stunned with the progress of the film – be it locking script , finalising locations, wrapping up shoot in 79 days and releasing the film in 7 months.

Rajamouli said all his apprehensions were proved wrong by Krish and he was spell bound after watching GPSK in theatre on Jan 12th.

On parting note, Rajamouli says, “Saho Satakarni” and in the by address he mentions his name as “Yours Rajanandini Putra Rajamouli”.

Megastar’s Khaidi No.150 is piling up on its Rs 80Cr+ share and is inching closer to dethrone Srimanthudu (Rs 85 Cr worldwide share in full run) from the 2nd spot in the list of All Time Biggest Commercial hits.

By the end of 10 days of its theatrical run, the Chiru starrer has raked in a worldwide share of close to Rs 84 Cr. A huge Rs 62.77 Cr has come from the Telugu states alone.

After crossing the USD2M mark, Khaidi No.150 has significantly slowed down in the US but it still is attracting enough crowds to run in good number of theatres. The total now stands at USD2.275M approx.

Khaidi No.150 is expected to go past Srimanthudu’s full run share in a day or two.

Never before in the past, Nagarjuna has taken to social networking platform to deny a rumour or news about him or his films. But taking many by surprise, for the first time Nag has tweeted, “I am reading & hearing news that chai and I are doing a film together again..hmmm!! This is news to me also”

Nag’s tweet has come as a huge blow to Dil Raju who had earlier announced to media that he would be doing a film with Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya together and added that it’s not a family backdrop film but a romantic entertainer.

As we dig deep into what exactly went wrong between Nag and Dil Raju and why the former has seriously reacted on this while it’s not new for producers to throw names of stars.

Apparently, there are several instances in the past that led to Nag’s angry.

Josh

Nagarjuna had given the opportunity of launching Naga Chaitanya to Dil Raju who was riding high then with six back to back hits including Parugu. However, the film turned out to be a flop. Though Dil Raju alone has nothing to do with it, what irked Nag is Dil Raju’s comments at the audio launch of ‘Subramanyam For Sale’.

During the audio launch of SOS, Dil Raju said that he had first approached Ram Charan for the story of Josh and eventually got it narrated to Chiranjeevi. But Chiranjeevi wasn’t convinced and said no to Josh for Charan after Magadheera.

Speaking at the SOS audio launch Dil Raju said, “I was quite confident with Josh and went ahead and did with Naga Chaitanya. After seeing the film’s result, I realised that Chiranjeevi sir’s judgement was right.” Dil Raju also added that he would like to distribute Chiru’s 150 in Nizam and said he had offered give blank cheque to Ram Charan.

While Dil Raju wants to praise Chiru, it’s totally upto him. But bringing Josh topic and saying Chiru’s judgment was right directly implies Nag’s judgement was wrong. Dil Raju’s comments have not gone well with Nag’s fans who took it upto Nag and he also said to be upset with Dil Raju’s public remarks.

Damurukam

Dil Raju had bought the distribution rights of Damarukam in Nizam. As he had also bought Pawan’s Cameraman Ganagthao Rambabu at high price. Since both films had to clash at BO, Dil Raju approached Nag along with producer RR Venkat to postpone Damarukam.

By then, Nag had already announced the film’s release date publicly and he can’t go back on his word. Dil Raju reportedly put a lot of pressure on Nag and this has further upset Nag

Besides these, there are a few other minor incidents with Dil Raju that have upset Nag.

Om Namo Venkatesaya

Cut to the present, Dil Raju is distributing Nag’s Om Namo Venkatesaya in Nizam. As he thought he’s moving closely with Nag, Dil Raju who is high with the success of Shatamanam Bhavati, told media that he would be doing a film with Nag and Naga Chaitanya together.

Since the statement came from Dil Raju himself, media too didn’t crosschecked it with Nag’s team and went ahead and published the news. In no time, it spread like wild fire and Nag who learnt about it, reacted sharply and condemned them on Twitter.

Rarely one comes across a filmmaker directing his own daughter, that too in a love story. Romantic scenes are bound to be galore in love stories and filming them obviously become extremely difficult for both. However, action king Arjun and his daughter Aishwarya took up this challenge.

Arjun is a well-known face to Telugu audiences. Despite being a Tamil actor, he has done handful of Telugu films and plenty of his films were dubbed into Telugu. Aishwarya hoped that her career would fly after she acted with Vishal in ‘Pattathu Yaanai’ but the failure of the movie dented her prospects. Then, Arjun took up the onus of reviving his daughter’s career on his own shoulders and directed her second film, a love story titled ‘Kadhalin Pon Veedhiyil’.

Aishwarya has confessed that at first, she found it tough to shoot romantic portions in the presence of her father. ‘Later, dad suggested me to consider him as only the director of her film and that’s how we pulled off the love scenes aesthetically,’ added Aishwarya, who romanced Kannada actor Chetan Kumar.

Be it Baahubali or his busy schedules, somehow young Rebel star Prabhas remains a bachelor at 37. Earlier, only tollywood media and his fans used to discuss about his marriage but after the global success of Baahubali, even the national media is curious over this 37-year-old bachelor’s wedding.

There have been several speculations about Prabhas’s marriage for the past one year but the media-shy actor rarely opened up. It was widely reported that a girl from Godavari districts has been finalized by the actor’s family members but no affirmation was provided regarding the same. Charan has already said that #Chiru151 will also be produced by his Konidela Productions Company. As expected by many, Surender Reddy has reportedly been chosen by megastar to helm his 151st film. In fact, during the time of Dhruva itself, Reddy narrated a story to Chiru and got his approval.

As per latest update, Surender Reddy has narrated the developed version and Chiru was highly impressed. Reports are emerging from mega circles that megastar’s 151st film will go on floors in March. However, neither Charan nor his PR team confirmed these happenings.

Although Chiru has keen interest to do ‘Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy’, he seems to have voted in favor of another commercial entertainer before moving towards heavy subjects. As Surender Reddy is a specialist in making stylish action entertainers, the expectations on this project will obviously be huge. He has recently said that his film with megastar would be more entertaining than Khaidi No.150.
