Both Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan have resumed shooting for their respective films after their New Year vacation break.

While Pawan Kalyan is shooting in Hyderabad for action sequences of “Katamarayudu”, Mahesh Babu is shooting for regular scenes. Both the stars have set a target of finishing these movies by end of February.

Pawan Kalyan hoped to start the regular shoot of Trivikram from the first week of January itself but it has now been postponed to March 1st week. He now wants to wrap up the entire shoot of “Katamarayudu” including the picturisation of songs in Feb and work on Trivikram’s movie afresh in the month of March.

Pawan Kalyan and director third movie was launched in November. Since then Trivikram has been waiting for Pawan to complete the shoot of “Katamarayudu”.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva’s second film was also launched in November and it was planned to begin the regular shoot from January. But due to delay of shoot of Murugadoss’s movie, he is now planning to resume the work of Koratala from March.

Not only are both these movies going to begin regular shoot from March, both are aiming for Dussera 2017 release. So, we will be seeing direct clash between Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu this year.

Ghazi is one more prestigious film to release in this year in multiple languages. Touted to be India’s first submarine war based film, major shooting of the project is done underwater.

Written and directed by Sankalp Reddy, Ghazi speaks about the mysterious disappearance of Pakistan submarine PNS Ghazi in 1971 indo Pak war when placed near eastern coast of India.

After the first look of Rana released as Naval Officer, here comes the entire team of Tapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni in this new poster. The submarine vehicle as seen in the poster is populated with many Naval Officers including Rana.

Actor Ram Charan, who awaits the release of his maiden production venture “Khaidi No 150”, says his wife is his biggest critic and he takes her opinion very seriously.

“I don’t usually consult her before signing a project,” Ram Charan told IANS. Ram Charan and Upasana are married for four years.

“At home, we don’t discuss my work. I decide the projects I want to do. However, she’s a big critic and she makes it a point to watch all my films and shares her opinion. I look forward to her suggestions,” he said.

Son of megastar Chiranjeevi, the “Magadheera” actor has come a long way since his acting debut with 2007 Telugu actioner “Chirutha”.

Last seen in Telugu thriller “Dhruva”, Ram Charan is still waiting for an opportunity to work with his father and uncle Pawan Kalyan in the same film.

Pawan Kalyan’s recent visit to Uddanam highlighting the suffering of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients is showing fruitful results.

After AP CM Chandrababu Naidu responded and directed necessary measures for the victims, it’s now the turn of Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda who said he will send a special team to find out the basic reasons for the disease.

Nadda, who was in Visakhapatnam to open a wellness centre along with Venkaiah Naidu, spoken on the issue and also promised to set up a dialysis centre in Uddanam for the victims.

As Chiranjeevi’s 150th film (Khaidi No. 150) and Balakrishna’s 100th film (Gautamiputra Satakarni) are clashing at the Box Office, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao has ordered officials to take all necessary precautionary measures to avoid any untoward incidents.

DGP has directed Cyber Crime officials to constantly monitor social media comments and if any abusive or derogatory or provoking comments on rival heroes are found, those who commented would be brought under book.

DGP has also said that those who resort to do abusive comments may land up in jail. Cases would be booked against them, said police officials.

I don’t consider RGV’s comments. But Naga Babu seems to have hurt with his comments. Anyone who is hurt, will react like that. I don’t want to respond on Naga Babu’s comments. Personally, I don’t have any issues with anyone. RGV is also my friend.

Pawan Kalyan’s Absence

Ram Charan has personally invited Pawan. Pawan had conveyed that he has work. Anyhow, Pawan tweeted his wishes to us. Not necessarily everyone could make it to the event.

Why Remake?

I wanted to do a film with social element. I’ve had heard several stories. But everyone has come up with commercial stories. Since I wasn’t finding such stories, I had to opt for Kaththi remake.

All mega heroes wanted to be seen in Khaidi No. 150 as it’s my 150th film. But it is not possible. So, they will be seen during the title credits.

Balakrishna, Nagarjuna

Balakrishna and I share good bond. I wish his film will do well. Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna all films are lined up for release. This reminisce of good old days. We all share great rapport still today.

Ram Charan is also continuing this trend. Recently, he has gone for holiday with Mahesh Babu. It’s a healthy trend in the industry.

Certainly, in the last 10 years, Telugu Film Industry has evolved a lot. A lot of changes have taken place. Especially, technically we are so developed. It’s good to be working in this age with advanced technology.

Upcoming Films

Yes, I’ll continue to act in films. I won’t stop with 150. I will be working with Surender Reddy, Boyapati Sreenu. Also I’ll be doing Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy’s subject. The script has been worked.

The trailer begins with Nagarjuna’s voice over narrating the premise of ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’. Nag describes the story between Lord Venkatesa and his ardent devotee Hathi Ram Baba as ‘Nava Rasa Bharitha Leela Drushya Kavyam’.

Set in the 18th Century, the film is an attempt to chronicle the life and times of Hathi Ram who is also known as Bhavaji.

Nag, who is best in doing roles of devotees like Annamayya, Sri Rama Dasu, is back to his forte. As usual, he breathed life into the role of Hathi Ram whose history isn’t much available to present age. Director K Raghavendra Rao stuck to his trademark style in directing this historic biopic.

Anushka is seen as Krishnamma, another devotee of Lord Balaji. She is seen grooving to a devotional song ‘Koneti Rayuda’ and her presence does the magic. Sourabh is playing Lord Venkateswara and he really fit the role aptly.

The other supporting cast has Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Prudhvi, Vimala Raman, Pragya Jaiswal and many others.

Darsakendra K Raghavendra Rao would be quitting direction after his ongoing film Om Namo Venkatesaya with Nagarjuna as the lead. None other than Nagarjuna himself divulged this at the audio launch of Om Namo Venkatesaya held on auspicious Vaikunta Ekadasi day.

Nag speaking at the event shared that Raghavendra Rao had told him that this film would be his last film and hence he is making it a memorable and remarkable in everyone who is associated with it.

Interestingly the film happens to be 108th film of Raghavendra Rao. Nag wished that ONV would be classic like his Manam which was the last film of his father ANR.

Meanwhile, the film is slated for a world-wide release on Feb 10. Let’s wait and see whether Nag-KRR recreate their magic or not.

Dangal, a thorough blockbuster material, is rewriting all existing box office numbers in India and finally on 17th day from its release, the movie emerged out to be the highest earner among Hindi films.

Having won the likes of both audiences and critics, Dangal outperformed Aamir’s previous blockbuster PK, Salman’s Bhajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan as well to claim the top spot. With Dangal taking rank 1, the following are other highest grossers, 2. PK, 3. Bhajranji Bhaijaan, 4. Sultan and 5. Dhoom-3.

Dangal, which minted 300 Crore on its 13th day, achieved an incredible record in Bollywood as it breached the record of top grosser PK (330.96cr) on 17th day (Sunday) with 340.8Cr, according to BO analyst Taran Adarsh. Reportedly, Dangal is Aamir Khan’s third movie to list in top five Bollywood grossers.

The big-budget biopic of Phogat sisters have come out at the right time and is still having serious legs at the box-office. While Dangal does have the capability of sending you out of a theater with great feel and brilliant performances of the cast, it also has the strength to pass a strong message for all girls out there.

The film was also awarded tax exemption in many states of the country. When it comes to overseas, it has pocketed $25.58 million (174.30 Crore) in USA, Canada and Australia.

King Nagarjuna’s upcoming devotional entertainer ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’s theatrical trailer was unveiled by producer Shobhu Yarlagadda during the audio launch of the movie held on Sunday, January 8.

It seems the makers haven’t worked much on trailer as it appeared to be an extension of teaser. Most of the scenes shown in the trailer were already seen in teaser.

Anushka’s ‘Koti koti dandalatho koneti raayudaa’ song was impressive and the actress looked ravishing as Krishnamma. The dice game between lord Venkateswara and Nagarjuna generates great curiosity on the story. Nagarjuna’s intense dialogue assured a little mass elements in the film and it goes on, ” “Ee konda pai evari meeda eega vaalinattu thelisinaa, ee ugra Srinivasa Murthy sakshigaa, Jwala Narasimmuni sakshigaa, padivela sheshula padagala sakshigaa em chesthano cheppanu.” Keeravani’s BGM and tunes, K Raghavendra Rao’s expertise in direction, artist’s performance and interesting VFX might make the movie a big hit.

Initially, Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s ‘Dhruva’ was expected that it’s business would be closed at around $1 M in the US. The film, however, has recorded long run and minted $1.55M collections in the territory. As a result the movie comfortably fell into the profit zone. It was earlier reported that additional screens were added during the fifth weekend’s run of the film.

On the other hand, ‘Dhruva’ is expected to hold a few theaters for Sankrathi run across Telugu states. The film is reported to have collected around Rs.57 crores world wide share so far. As we know, Ram Charan played a tough and stylish cop in the film while Arvind Swamy  essayed an antagonist.

Rakul Preet Singh played romantic interest of Ram Charan in this Surender Reddy’s directorial venture. Mega Producer Allu Aravind has produced the movie on Geetha Arts. Ram Charan and Sukumar’s film will go on sets soon.
