A film released with below par expectations emerged as a sensational blockbuster in Telugu last year and it is Vijay Devarakonda, Ritu Varma starrer ‘Pelli Choopulu’ from debutant director Tharun Bhascker backed by D. Suresh Babu. After a stiff competition to bag the remake rights in other regional languages, Gautham Menon bagged the Tamil rights.

Hiking up the zero star cast value in ‘Pelli Choopulu,’ the talented film maker reportedly roped in Tamanna for female lead in Tamil version. To be directed by Menon’s long time associate Senthil Veera Samy, very soon the project would be rolled onto sets.

It would be interesting to see Tamanna getting into Ritu Varma shoes because both of them are poles apart when it comes to stardom. To all our known information, milk beauty had a dream run last year with ‘Oopiri, Dharma Durai’ and ‘Abhinetri’ while ‘Queen’ is one more ambitious remake signed and there is also ‘Bahubali 2’ set for release in this year. Indeed, a promising lineup.

Without any discrimination, Chiru cropped the final copy completely devoid of Prudhvi comedy and decreased the length of Brahmanandam, Ali episodes thus keeping narration crisp and sharp. Let us see, how far this final trimming looks on screen from Jan 10th midnight?

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Prestigious 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni suddenly became a hot cake in the trade. Khaidi No 150 will also release for Sankranthi.  Both the films are not keen on letting go the huge holidays advantage Sankranthi season brings and so the clash became imminent.

Previously, when Balayya and Chiranjeevi clashed for Sankranthi, the former always had a upper hand. So, Chiranjeevi wants to change that. The Team is currently waiting for the Tax Exemption update from both the state governments which will give the much needed push for the movie

The film was sold expecting Tax Exemption in both the states. The Pre-Release Business will be cleared only when there is a clarity about the Exemption and so the makers are tensed. Already the movie’s Pre-Release Business is complete to the tune of the highest ever in the actor’s career and the makers are sitting comfortably with a Table Profit.

Stage is set for the grand gala pre-release meet of Khaidi No. 150 at Hailand in Guntur and all roads are leading to this mega event.

The curious point being talked about now is the entry of mega star Chiranjeevi at the function. In the movie, the entry of hero into the scene is planned in a big way. But, how would Chiranjeevi’s entry would be at the pre-launch meet? Here is the exclusive update.

According to reliable sources, Chiranjeevi would land on the stage in an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), which is commonly referred to as flying saucers, which are spotted in the sky and are believed to be used by extra-terrestrial living creatures to land on the earth surface.

So, mega star also will turn into an extra-terrestrial living being to land on the stage of the Khaidi No. 150 pre-launch meet.

Arrangements are being made to create the effects of the UFO on the stage. It remains to be seen whether this UFO would be made to fly in the air and land on the stage with the help of ropes or through any other technology.

Whatever it might be, it would be a memorable mega entry for Chiranjeevi to project his return to the film industry in a grand way after a gap of 10 years!

Arrangements are in full swing for the pre-release meet of Khaidi No 150, which is expected to be attended by all heroes from the Mega family.

While Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Teja announced that they were taking a break from their shootings of their films – Mister and Winner – to attend the gala function, Allu Arjun too is getting ready to appear on the stage. Only hero who is left out is Pawan Kalyan and there are indications that he, too, might attend the function.

According to the gossip doing rounds in the film circles, Pawan’s presence has not been confirmed well in advance only to avoid problems from his fans.

Since there is no bigger event in the near future with regard to mega family, there is every possibility that Pawan would attend the function. Other say everybody from the family, except Pawan, would be there at the function.

Sources close to the event, however, made one thing clear without any specific reference to Pawan that all Mega heroes would come within one frame on the stage.

In fact, the idea of calling veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao as the chief guest too the function was given by Pawan himself. So, it is learnt Pawan’s entry would be announced only at in the last minute and till such time, there would only be specualtions.

There is also talk that if Pawan does not come to the function, there would be chaos from his fans who would raise slogans in support of power star. So, it is better if Pawan comes to the function and efforts are on in this direction, said sources.

Young tiger NTR Jr, who is gearing up for a commercial entertainer in the direction of Bobby, is reportedly planning to act in yet another experimental film.

After resurrecting his career with ‘Temper’, NTR has done the most unconventional film of his career, ‘Nannaku Prematho’, to win class movie lovers. The reward for his efforts came in the form of ‘Janatha Garage’ as the class audiences have also embraced this film.

Post Bobby’s film, NTR has already committed to work with director Trivikram Sreenivas for a film, which is expected to be a perfect commercial entertainer laced with family emotions.

After these two films, NTR has reportedly lined up critically acclaimed director Vikram Kumar’s experimental film. Vikram has already become a brand with films like Manam and 24. The duo has reportedly held discussions during the ‘script listening spree’ of NTR before finalizing Bobby’s project and decided to work for a film in 2018.

In fact, Vikram Kumar planned to work with Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun but as the two actors are super busy, he seems to have decided to go with NTR, who is also looking at content-rich films rather than mass masala entertainers.

Pawan Kalyan is back to work. After his trip to Ichchapuram to meet the victims of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Pawan joined the shooting for Katamarayudu. Currently, the film’s shoot is going on in Hyderabad.

Sources close to the production house have confirmed that the actor is occupied with continuous shooting schedule and since dates of many others are involved, looks like, it’s difficult for Pawan to cut short the shooting and head for Khaidi No. 150 pre-release event on Jan 7th in Guntur’s Haailand.

However, the team of Khaidi No. 150 is heavily lobbying for having Pawan and Chiru on the same stage. Surekha Konidela, who is presenting the film, said to have invited Pawan for the event.

Pawan is now in dilemma whether to make it or not. As of now, the decision is pending. It all depends on Pawan’s mood.

The once queen of kollywood, Namitha has several temples built in her name by her devoted fans in Tamil Nadu. However, the buxom beauty looks to have no home of her own to live in peace.

Reportedly, Namitha has recently approached a court in Chennai, alleging harassment from her house owner. In her petition, she mentioned that she has been residing in a rented flat at Nungambakkam, Chennai and was paying Rs 15,000 as rent on monthly basis.

“My house owner is now forcing me to vacate the flat despite my regular payments. He threatened me of cutting off electricity and water supplies and also throw me out of the house by force if I don’t vacate immediately,” the ‘Billa’ beauty added in her plea.

Responding to her petition, the court in Chennai has reportedly granted an interim stay till January 12 and restrained the house owner from evicting her. The judge also directed the house owner not to harass her.

It may not be surprising news to know that the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal is making a enormous amount of money and has reached an impressive box-office milestone. But, what’s so stunning about it is the film breached 300cr mark in its first 13 days of release.

In the first week, the film took 197.54cr while in the second week, it has minted 106.84cr in India. And, when it comes to overseas market, Dangal strikes gold as it managed to pocket $23.31 million (Rs 158.70cr). As it goes off theatres, Aamir is likely to rewrite many box-office records, also thanks to tax-free order in many states.

GPSK area wise distribution rights are sold off at unimaginable record prices in Balayya’s career. Despite such high rates quoted by First Frame Entertainment banner, competition went extremely high. Those distributors bagged the area rights re-sold them in retail market to exhibitors at whopping amounts. Especially in Andhra Pradesh coastal districts, trade activity is reported to be massive.

GPSK made on Rs. 55 Crores budget, highest ever in Balakrishna’s career has still succeeded to recover the investment with assured 21 Crores table profit (inclusive of satellite rights) for its makers. Of course, this is hard to believe but that’s the shocking craze for Nata Simham’s Satakarni.

Chiranjeevi’s 150th film is arguably more important than Balakrishna’s 100th film in many ways.

Given the fact that already Chiru failed in politics and returning to cinema which is his home turf, Chiru is under immense pressure to prove himself. This is why Chiru is taking extra care on Khaidi No. 150.

Even if Balayya’s 100 fails, Balayya could able to sustain the failure such is his image. He has seen several flops, duds in his career and still he could bounce back.

However, that is not the case with Chiranjeevi. He has to succeed with Khaidi. First it’s his comeback. Second it’s a remake i.e already proven point. Third it is his 150th film.

If Khaidi fails, brand Chiru takes severe beating. Already Chiru was taken aback with the fact that his cameo has had little help to Ram Charans Bruce Lee. Since then, Chiru’s camp has been on the back-foot.

Now that Khaidi is scheduled for release a day before Balayya’s 100 (Gautamiputra Satakarni), easily Chiru 150 is more important than the latter’s 100.
