Samsung to launch Gear S3 ahead of IFA 2016; What we know so far on the Gear S2 successor
Samsung’s long rumoured Gear S3 smartwatch series will finally see the light of the day later this month.Samsung Mobile (via Twitter) posted a GIF-based Gear series animation teaser with a rounded watch dial. It reads—”Talk about 3″. The company also revealed to stream the event live online on Aug. 31 from Germany, just a couple of days ahead of the globally acclaimed consumer electronics fair, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2016.
Samsung Gear S3: What we know so far
From what we have gathered so far, Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch is expected to come in three variants— Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Explorer and Gear S3 Frontier.
All the three are expected to boast Gear S2’s popular feature—rotating bezel for navigation and also come integrated with GPS, altimeter, barometer, and speedometer. They are most likely come with IP68 certification.With IP (Ingress Protection) 68 certification, device is guaranteed to survive five-feet underwater for close to 30 minutes.

Xiaomi Mi5 price slashed in China permanently: When will it happen in India?
Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments have dropped in China in Q2 2016 compared to last year, but the company is making some changes to crawl back to the top. Xiaomi’s 2016 flagship smartphone, the Mi5, has received a generous price cut in China, allowing shoppers to pick up the premium device at best price.
The price cut on Xiaomi Mi 5 comes just five months after the flagship’s launch and applies to all variants, including Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro. Xiaomi has permanently discounted the prices of its Mi5 smartphone by ¥200, which is roughly Rs. 2,000. Following the discount, the Mi 5 32GB variant is available for ¥1,799 (approx. Rs. 18,100) and ¥2,099 (roughly Rs. 21,100) for 64GB model. As for the Mi 5 Pro, which comes with 128GB storage and 4GB RAM, the new price is ¥2,499 (around Rs. 25,200).
Sadly, there is no information on whether the price cut will happen in India as well. Ever since the device was released, it has been applauded for its unique design, overall performance and effective price. But unconditional price cuts are always welcome in markets such as India for sales boost. International Business Times India, reached out to Xiaomi for a comment.
“We don’t have any official information about this as of now,” Xiaomi told IBTimes, India. Xiaomi’s pricing in India is quite competitive as it is pitted against the likes of OnePlus 3, LeEco Le Max 2 and other flagships. The company has offered its Mi 5 flagship for Rs. 22,999 during special occasions such as Mi Anniversary, but there hasn’t been a permanent price drop on the Rs. 24,999 price tag. Xiaomi has only launched the 32GB version of the Mi 5 in India, while the 64GB and the Pro variants are limited to the Chinese market.
According to GizmoChina, Xiaomi also slashed the price of another smartphone, the Redmi 3X, in China, which was only launched a few months ago. The budget smartphone is ¥100 cheaper than its launch price and sells for ¥799. The company hasn’t launched the handset in India or other international markets, but it can be shipped outside China by placing an order on GearBest for $143.Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments in China dropped 38 percent in the second quarter this year, slipping the company’s rank to number four. Xiaomi had shipped 10.5 million smartphones in Q2 compared to 17.1 million smartphones shipped during the same period a year ago.
Pushkar Tragedy: 4 Youths Drown In Krishna River
Following the tragic stampede which claimed the lives of 27 devotees during the inaugural ceremony of Godavari Maha Pushkaralu last year, Chandrababu and his team have taken several strict measures to prevent any unfortunate mishaps at the ongoing Krishna Pushkaralu.However, a 5-year-old kid lost his life when he was drowned at a Pushkar Ghat a couple of days ago. And today, four BCom students from Eturu village in Nandigama lost their lives when the boat they were traveling capsized in the Krishna waters.
A total of eleven students took a boat to reach to a Pushkar Ghat at Gidugu in Amaravati. Their boat sank in the midway and divers were called in to rescue the youths. The divers immediately saved six youths from drowning.
Four bodies have been recovered while search operations are on to rescue another missing youth. Officials and several ministers expressed their grief over the loss of young lives.

PM Modi Breaks his Own Record!!
On the occasion of 70th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has broken his own record by delivering the longest Independence Day speech by an Indian Prime Minister from the ramparts of Red Fort.Modi was at his usual best while delivering his 3rd Independence Day speech which lasted for 94 minutes. With this address, Modi broke his own record of 86 minute long speech that he had mouthed last year on the same occasion. His first Independence Day speech in 2014 lasted for 65 minutes and the address duration continued to increase since then.
Modi’s senior and the first BJP Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee never spoke beyond 30 minutes during his tenure. Former Congress Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who addressed 10 I-Day speeches during his tenure, had set his longest speech to 50 minutes in 2006. Hence, Modi’s eloquent speeches were quite lengthy in comparison.
