CM Trolled for Sleeping during PM’s I-Day Speech
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is notorious for often getting trolled on social media, has given another opportunity to poke fun at him by sleeping during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech at Red Fort in Delhi.In fact, several politicians were caught napping during Modi’s close to 100 minute long speech but being the darling of social media, Kejriwal only got maximum attention. The picture of Kejriwal dozing off during the speech is going viral now.
The Aam Aadmi Party leaders were however quick to come to Kejriwal’s rescue. They pointed out that top BJP Union Ministers like Arun Jaitley and Manohar Parrikar were also captured sleeping during the PM’s speech but only Kejriwal is being targeted. “Why media is so biased? Only targets AAP/Kejriwal? Jaitley/Parrikar sleeping, media not showing ? Why ? Why?,” AAP leader Ashutosh tweeted.
While the picture was going viral already, deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, added further embarrassment by justifying Kejriwal’s act. “It seems Prime Minister’s speech was boring,” Sisodia tweeted confirming that Kejriwal was indeed sleeping.With his latest act, Arvind Kejriwal has delivered the much needed entertainment on the eve of Independence Day.
Babu Bangaram Collections: All Is Well!
Victory Venkatesh’s Babu Bangaram released last Friday to commemorate his thirty years in Tollywood. The film, directed by Maruthi, was released amidst a huge pre-release hungama as the teaser and trailer and the Venky-Nayan combo and Maruthi factor generated a huge hype.However, critics gave the film a unanimous thumbs down and no critic rated the film beyond a negligible 2.5 to a consoling 3. Thanks to these underwhelming reviews, many thought that Babu Bangaram would take a major hit at the box-office.
But this Babu has proved that he is really Bangaram as female fans and families have owned up the film since day two and the first weekend collections are quite impressive. Babu Bangaram is expected to collect a worldwide share Rs. 15 crores until the end of Monday, including nearly 3 cr gross from the US and becoming Venky’s record solo overseas earner.
That brings Babu Bangaram to its halfway mark as the film was sold for nearly 30 crores including all territories. With the Aug 15th advantage, Thikka being a flop and no star hero film around, Babu Bangaram is expected to tread a royal path to breakeven.
When Kamal Thought He Would Die
Universal hero Kamal Haasan had fractured his leg after he slipped and rnfell from staircase at his office in Chennai. This resulted in a minor rnfracture. Doctors first advised him to take one month bed rest. But, an rninfection after surgery is making him to stick to bed for nearly two rnmore months.
It is now revealed that the accident which broke thern actor’s leg could have been deadly. “If there was nobody when I fell, rnit could have been much worse. I was bleeding plentifully. I could have rnbled to death. Thankfully, there was someone else in the office at the rntime. I was immediately rushed to hospital, so I am safe,” said Kamal.
Fortunately,rn Kamal’s foot is curing and he is feeling much better now as the pain isrn reduced considerably. Since the stitches are off, he can meet friends rnat his home from today. Right now, Kamal could walk only with support. rnHe needs two more months to recover completely.Apparently, Kamalrn Haasan will not join Sabhash Naidu shoot anytime soon, perhaps for rncouple of months. The film which was scheduled for release in December rnwill be postponed for few months. Kamal’s daughter Shruti Haasan is alsorn part of this film directed by the actor himself.Kamal Haasan’s rnother film Viswaroopam 2 release was also planned for later this year. rnSeems like, this film also may not see theaters this year.

Pawan Skips Krishna Pushkaram, Cites Fever
Power star Pawan Kalyan has decided to skip the Krishna Pushkarams citing fever.
Although TDP Supreme Chandrababu Naidu hasn’t personally invited Pawan, he made sure that the Jana Sena chief got personal invitation from Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy. Indian media ‘stirring up’ negative sentiments: Chinese daily
Blaming Indian media for “stirring up” negative sentiments against China by highlighting the “divergences” in ties, a state-run Chinese daily said on Monday that the press on both sides should be cautious about attempts by the West to drive a “wedge” between the two countries.Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi paid a visit to India on Friday. As a number of media outlets reported, the tour was focused on cooperation over the upcoming G20 and BRICS summits, an op-ed article in the Global Times said.
‘Coming up with eye-catching headline’
“However, quite a few Indian media started to cover the tour a week ago with the eye-catching headline ‘China blocked India’s NSG bid, but now wants help on South China Sea’,” said the article titled ‘Indian media should view Beijing-Delhi ties constructively.’“After negative hype over Sino-Indian ties by Indian media for a long time, it is not hard to envisage that they did it again this time. Yet while they grab all the attention they want like always, they have also caused a deterioration in the Indian public’s views of China,” it said.
“Puzzles unresolved in ties”
“Given the recent frictions between the two countries, including the NSG issue and New Delhi’s rejection of visa extension requests for Chinese reporters, there are indeed certain puzzles left unresolved in the bilateral relationship. But they can hardly represent the big picture of Sino-Indian ties,” it said.The article, though, praised the efforts being made by both the governments to address the issues in bilateral ties.
‘Enhancing collaboration’
“Thanks to the efforts of governments from both parties, the two nations have been enhancing collaboration and promoting more communications and mechanisms over bilateral, regional issues.“Yet while the Indian government is treating its relations with Beijing rationally, the country’s media and public opinion are busy stirring up negative sentiments. They tend to attach more attention to divergences while overstating contradictions between the two,” it said.
Worlds like ‘invasion’ or ‘transgression’
“Words like ‘invasion’ or ‘transgression’ are often used by them to describe Beijing without naming sources, and the ’China threat theory’ has been hyped up by them from time to time,” it said.“Clearly, the Indian media has not yet learned to see the considerable potential of the bilateral relationships with a constructive mindset,” it said.
‘Both sides need development’
It is important for the Indian media to remember that development and prosperity are needed by both sides and they need a stable environment for that, it has said.“The West is taking delight in driving a wedge between Beijing and New Delhi. Media from both countries should therefore be more cautious not to fall for that,” it said.
Microsoft to kill Skype: App won’t work on Windows Phone 8, 8.1, Android 4.0.2, iOS 7, Mac OS X 10.6
Microsoft bought Skype for $8.5 billion in 2011 but it is now going to kill it altogether after a few months. The software giant has announced that gadgets running certain versions of operating system, be it Windows, Android or iOS, will not be able to access the app early next year.
Microsoft had said in July that it will stop Skype support for older apps, citing that it is moving to mobile-friendly cloud architecture. It said that moving to cloud will not only bring new features like mobile group video calling, Skype Translator and Skype Bots but also improve existing features like file sharing and video messaging.
However, the company has now said that Skype will be killed early next year. It has announced that the app support for Windows RT, Mac OS X 10.6 and below, Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 8.1, Android 4.0.2 and below, and iOS 7 and below will be stopped from October but will “continue to work (possibly with some limitations) until early 2017” by which time moving Skype calling to the cloud is expected to be completed.
The move will affect 80 percent of Windows Phone users, as a large number of people use handsets running Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. It will also affect Windows RT, Android and iOS users.To have access to the latest versions of Skype, one has to upgrade OS, like iOS 8 or higher, Mac OS X 10.9 or higher, and Android 4.0.3 or higher.
